Consumer Complaint: I did a bill pay into my XXXX from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX into my XXXX XXXX XXXX account for {$22000.00} on XX/XX/year>. A couple weeks prior to that I did the same type of transaction for {$100.00} which went through as a printed check, the payment of {$22000.00} went through as an electronic payment for some reason and my XXXX does not accept electronic payments. I have spoken to XXXX XXXX extensively and they said they processed the payment and they gave me a proof of payment- they can not confirm it was received. XXXX XXXX has no record and researched it and found that the routing number is a CHASE routing number. I can not get anyone at Chase to look into this for me, XXXX XXXX is also not helping me, XXXX is saying they do not have any record of the transaction. Please help. The transaction posted on XX/XX/year> and {$22000.00} was removed from my account and now is nowhere to be found and I am getting the run around.

Consumer Complaint: I wrote a check to our health insurance company for the month of XXXX in 2023 for the amount of {$1700.00} from my Chase checking account and put it in the mail. The money was taken from my account on XXXX XXXX, so I assumed it was the health insurance company. I then received a bill from them saying we owed for the month and I was confused. I then looked at the back of the check and saw a squiggly line in the endorsement, rather than the formally typed endorsement from the health insurance company. I immediately knew it had been stolen. I called Chase to report it and they told me I would receive the money back by the end of the day. This was on XX/XX/2023. I did not receive the money so I called again. This time they told I wouldn't get the money back. I was very upset so called a third time and this person told me I would have to fill out the Declaration of unauthorized endorsement or altered item form and send it to the health insurance company for them to sign their portion. I also filed a police report as well as a USPS claim. I did everything Chase has asked of me and still I have not received the money back. I have gone twice in person into the bank and talked with different managers. The bank should be protecting me rather than treating me like the criminal. My family needs that money back and I don't understand why Chase won't give it back.

Consumer Complaint: The company froze all my chase assets without any right to do that. i answered all their questions, he, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX did not like my answers. This is the XXXX time chase has locked my account, each time I went to the bank addressed their concerns and they unlocked my account. This time after providing a list of receipts and pictures of the remodeling work they said they would get back to me in 2-3 days. That is baloney. I needed that money to pay my bills. This dis service has caused me pain and suffering, and yet Chase XXXX XXXX can do whatever they want with my money. XXXX is his name, he presented no ID we just had to take his word for it. XXXX XXXX XXXX. I feel that Chase has singled me out. The first time was at the bank where they refused to give me my money. They told me to come back another day. I said why are you discriminating against me. He the banker ignored me. A second time I had to go in and verify that it was me. This is the XXXX time where they called me a liar and took my money without any reason and recouse for myself. I have filed a compalint with the EEOC for age discrimination, just yesterday.

Consumer Complaint: Our XXXX XXXX XXXX wrote a check to a vendor ( XXXX XXXX ) in the amount of {$5900.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. The check was intercepted somehow and altered to the name of XXXX XXXX on the payee line and his name and address ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, FL, XXXX ) were added to the memo line where XXXX XXXX had originally been. The check was completely altered. His name was on the back where he cashed or deposited it. I contacted our bank and filed an affidavit for fraud since the check was intercepted and altered. I googled the name and he is a known criminal in Florida. I'm not sure where the check was intercepted and how he got it. I mailed it on XX/XX/XXXX in Texas and it was cashed or deposited by him and cleared our bank on XX/XX/XXXX. I was unaware of this until XX/XX/XXXX when someone with XXXX XXXX inquired about our payment. On this date, XX/XX/XXXX, we went to our bank and began the process. They investigated and said the check was cashed or deposited at a Chase bank but they couldn't tell me where, what branch, or if it was cashed or deposited. They also said that Chase will not refund the fraudulent money. Our bank is XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TX. He cashed it at a Chase bank somewhere. On the back is his printed name, but no account number. I'm wondering how Chase and can just not refund money for a fraudulent check from a known criminal. Also, how was it deposited or cashed if he didn't write his account number on the back under his signature and it was a large check and Chase is not our bank? We are just wanting our refund of {$5900.00} for the fraudulent money.

Consumer Complaint: I had written a check to XXXX water Board, After a few months I found out the check which was made out to an official organization was cashed by a random person instead of XXXX Water board. I contacted my bank which was JPM Chase and notified them as soon as I knew, they refused my claim even though it was clearly fraud. The person at chase I spoke to specifically said it was cashed by one of their clients ( i.e chase still has my money ). Chase Teller who cashed the check did not look at front of the check which was made to a XXXX state government organization and gave it to a random person which is illegal. The copy of the check that chase scanned when they cashed it clearly has XXXX water Board and they clearly deposited it into a personal bank account which makes no sense, shows they did not verify the ID to who the Check was made out to. Also shows they did not verify that a person should not get a check written out to XXXX Goverment Agency.

I also wasted at least XXXX hours calling and following up with chase and most of their employees are giving me different answers. Its either Chase is not doing their job properly with XXXX bank, or XXXX employees are not doing their job. It should have been an easy fix since the wire was void in the first place.

Consumer Complaint: Chase Bank has wrongfully restricted my account due to legally changing my name, which is complete and legal, and they have all necessary documents to prove a legal change took place and to verify my identity under the new name. Despite this, they have claimed my social security account doesn't match the name on my account ( it does ), restricted my account and closed my credit card information. They also restricted/closed my accounts nearly a week before the deadline they gave me to resubmit all necessary information ( which I did before the deadline ). It has been weeks, and I am about to submit my documents for a third time in person. Considering changing one 's name is a common situation for many people for many reasons throughout their life, and all three major credit bureaus have clear, specific processes to report a name change specifically for gender identity purposes, not only is this conduct outrageous, it is pathetic and unacceptable that they can't hold themselves to the same standard as the major credit bureaus and simply create a nondisruptive policy for this, or even any process at all.
