Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: A charge I did not recognize appeared on my card. Visa refused to undertake an investigation, but in doing so did not comply with requirements of the Fair Credit Billing Act. The company continued to ask me for information about the charge but I can provide no information about a charge I know nothing about. The Fair Credit Billing Act requires : XXXX. That Visa " conduct an investigation yourself and that you set forth the reasons why you believe the account was shown correctly. '' This was not done. See attached correspondence from Visa XXXX. The Act also requires Visa, upon my request, to provide copies of documentary evidence of my indebtedness. Despite my written request, this was not done XXXX. The act also states " In the case of a billing error where the obligor alleges that the creditors billing statement reflects goods not delivered to the obligor or his designee in accordance with the agreement made at the time of the transaction, a creditor may not construe such amount to be correctly shown unless he determines that such goods were actually delivered, mailed or otherwise sent to the obligor and provides the obligor with a statement of such determination. I requested this statement but it was not done. In fact, it can not be done because I received no services. I wrote to Visa about this but my letter was ignored In their letter, Visa state " we found no evidence of a billing error ''. But that is NOT the standard under the Fair Credit Billing Act. The Act requires Visa to show why the charge is correct, to provide documentary evidence, determine that goods were delivered and make a statement to that effect. None of this was done.

Issue: Unauthorized transactions or other transaction problem
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX my phone got stolen, and all my Chase bank accounts on the phone got compromisXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXunts. The next day I bought a new XXXX and restored the data, but I couldn't access my chase bank accounts because it was blocked. 2 days after, I had to go personally go to Chase branch and close all the accounts, and we opened new ones, and I realized that XXXX unauthorized transactions were done on XX/XX/XXXX. I filed a dispute with the bank on all XXXX unauthorized transactions, they approved XXXX transactions, and the third one was a XXXX transfer for XXXX, were denied. They stated that this transaction was authorized and it was used from the same device and they asked for police report. I provided a police report and I explained that my XXXX XXXX XXXX was stolen and the transaction was used from my old phone. I replaced my phone the next day and bought XXXX XXXX and I had to restore all the data on it, using the same number but a different device. I kept escalating the claim and trying to explain what happened more than 4 or 5 times, and they kept denying the claim for the same reason. I don't think anyone in the claim department at Chase took a deeper look into this claim, they approved the other 2 claims but they keep denying it without explanation. It's most of the money I had with the bank, and it was a fraudulent transaction transferred to an account that is totally unknown to me, they didn't provide me who are the people that the money are transferred to, they should have the information on the account, and I've been struggling with this {$5000.00} loss for the last few months, and they keep refusing to give me my money back. I have more information and all the evidence to my statement if needed.

I have the XXXX tracking number saying that it was returned and I have the initial update that Amazon knew that the return was coming. I reached out to Chase multiple times since XXXX and they kept taking Amazons claim that they needed proof of the time being returned. How can I get proof if I dont work at the warehouse?

Consumer Complaint: I have a British Airways Visa credit card from Chase. One of the benefits of this card is that I get a free companion ticket when I spend a minimum of {$30000.00} on the card within a calendar year. This is called the " Travel Together Ticket ''. It is good to any destination that British Airways flies and in any class of service - the same class that the primary ticket is purchased on. I do have to pay taxes, fees and carrier charges on the companion ticket. I have a BA Chase Redemption Voucher for a companion based on spending {$30000.00} on my BA Visa card. I went to the British Airways site to book my travel in Business Class to XXXX from XXXX XXXX, returning at XXXX, XXXX using my voucher. The total cost quoted was {$13000.00} WITH the voucher + XXXX XXXX points ( British Airways frequent flyer points ). I then went in to the British Airways site and, WITHOUT trying to redeem the voucher, just booked two tickets in business class on the same dates. The total cost was {$10000.00} and that is also WITHOUT using any XXXX points. How can the cost with a free ticket voucher be MORE EXPENSIVE in DOLLARS AND FREQUENT FLYER MILES than a person off the street just buying two tickets directly? And that too, it is SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive. I reached out to both British Airways and Chase to lodge a complaint. British Airways responded with a general message of apology saying that they had passed on my complaint to the concerned department. That was on XX/XX/XXXX. and I have not heard anything since. I called Chase customer service on XXXX XXXX XXXX and complained that the promotion that incented me to get the card was a Chase promotion and that the information was misleading as I was now having to pay MORE with my free ticket voucher ( after spending {$30000.00} in one calendar year to meet eligibility for the voucher ) than without it. They said I would have to resolve this issue with British Airways but at my insistence offered to send my complaint to their Marketing department. I received a letter from Chase dated XX/XX/XXXX saying " Please contact British Airways to help you with your concern about the Travel Together Ticket. '' I request you to help me as this promotion from Chase is totally misleading and fraudulent. Thanking you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: My grandmother died of XXXX in XX/XX/2020. I had put all my credit cards on autopay due to me being understandably preoccupied. And after that, I got an email saying I had a 31 day late payment on my account. I checked my account and I saw that I had in fact paid my Chase card on time. However, I noticed that my statement had XXXX ) the wrong home address, as I had moved XXXX miles away XXXX ) the wrong balance XXXX ) and the wrong authorized payment I have repeatedly called Chase about this issue, starting in XX/XX/2020. I have called and had in-person meetings about this every single month till today. During these calls and in-person meetings, I have been called XXXX slurs, and told that I'm a XXXX and a XXXX by a receptionist at Chase ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but that didn't seem to protect me from discrimination ). I've also been told to go back to my country, even though I was born and raised in America. I've had Chase employees make fun of my name, and told " XXXX XXXX XXXX is irrelevant to Chase 's policy on revising the information they send to credit bureaus ''. I filed multiple complaints within Chase about the abuse I received ; none of these complaints ever led to any change in employee behavior. Since Chase fraudulently claimed I was late on a payment, my credit score has plummeted. I called Chase Bank yet again today to ask for proof I missed this payment, and the person on the phone laughed at me, said " that's impossible because it was from 2020, '' and when I asked for her office 's mailing address, she hung up on me. Chase has no proof I missed this payment, has repeatedly discriminated on me on the basis of race, national origin, gender identity, and XXXX XXXX, and has refused to do report accurate information to the credit agencies. Chase bank needs to be held responsible I have included the Chase statement 's that have my incorrect address. I also included a receipt I got from an Illinois government affiliate, proving I lived in XXXX in 2020. And finally, I included the announcement of my XXXX XXXX XXXX. It shows the funeral happening on XX/XX/2020, which is XX/XX/XXXX on the XXXX calendar. And I'm listed as a grandchild under the nickname she called me, XXXX
