Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I had three credit cards with chase. I had financial hardship and couldnt keep up paying all three of my cards. One of my chase cards i fell behind on the payments and they closed that card. The other two cards were in good standing, no 30 day late payments on my credit reports, chase decided to close those cards as well. Before they closed those accounts, they lowered my credit limit which triggered my untilzation to go up and eventually they closed my account. Chase bank also charged me interest on all the closed accounts, they also are charge me late fees on the closed accounts that they closed. After chase closed my accounts this triggered XXXX XXXX not to issue me a new XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that was expiring because they saw the reporting of chase closing my accounts. My XXXX XXXX was in perfect standing as well by the way. Now my credit is gone and im left to pay credit cards that keep accumulating interest and late fees.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with chase bank and deposited my payroll check electronically. Chase determined they could not read the maker of the check and placed a hold on yhe check. Even though the bank the check was created through ( XXXX XXXX ) sent the funds to Chase, Chase refused to release the funds to me and shut my account down. When I call them they say they can not return the funds back to XXXX XXXX XXXX or to me until they verify with the maker of the check that it is not a fraudulent check however, the number they have on file is not a valid phone number. They will not allow me to provide any information for my employer so that the check can be verified and they will not return the funds back to my employer. At this point thus situation is well over a month old and I still have not received my paycheck.

Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Credit denial
Consumer Complaint: I recently went to a dealership and was discriminated against, and denied an extension of my credit as the dealership initiated transactions and I was given no benefit, but to be a as precise as possible I will send the letter I sent to them. Explaining precisely what was done. During the time of the transaction at the dealership when the credit extension was initiated, I informed them of my knowledge of the laws and how the consumer credit transaction is supposed to take place and the general manager should clear indication of agreement and then Mocked me out of the dealership refusing to comply and inform the banks of my consumer rights and laws. Purposely he refused to follow through after running my credit. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX of XXXX. Precisely this is what occurred and also the letter that was sent to them. In Pursuance of 15 usc 1602 L the term credit card was used to initiate a consumer credit transaction. The term credit card means any card, plate, coupon book or other credit devices existing for the purpose of obtaining money, property, labor or services on credit. I am also the cardholder and holder in due course. So in pursuance of 15 usc 1602n I am the one who came in with the credit card to initiate the transaction, it is not possible to get denied with something I came in with. The term adverse action never mentions anything to do with the consumer getting denied credit because it is impossible to get denied in something that Im granting to your corporation, the right to extend credit. So in pursuance of 15 usc 1602 the term credit means the right granted by a creditor to a debtor to defer payments of debt or to incur debt and defer its payments. Credit is my right and Im the one who regularly extends credits in the connection with loans in pursuance of 15 usc 1602G. I am the original creditor and I am well aware of my rights. I know that reporting to the consumer reporting agency is voluntary. This is a private transaction and this an unfavorable situation to me the consumer. No where in the term adverse action defined within the FCRA does it mention that a natural person can be denied credit. So as an original creditor it is not lawful to be denied my right to grant credit, furthermore my credit was used and I received no benefit from the use of my credit. An inquire popped up on my consumer report which is a receipt of the transaction meaning someone got paid off my credit and I received no benefit at all. In fact damages were done to the denial of my rights mentally and financially. As used in section 1643 of the title the means of a credit card by a person other than that, The cardholder who does not have actual implied or apparent authority or such use from the cardholder which receives no benefit. Ive been discriminated against as there are no federal laws that state a credit score can deny me my right to extend credit. Ive, in good faith exercised my right, and I, the natural person, have been discriminated against in pursuance of 15 usc 1691. So it shall be unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction. For the damages that have been done to my mental distress and financial reputation, as I take my consumer report and life seriously, I will take this to a federal level if my request to open the account in which adverse action has taken place is not met. Im aware of my open end credit plan my right to contract unlimited without being denied. I demand your company reinvestigate this matter, abide by federal law and open up the accounts in which Ive extended credit.

Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I received a fraud alert text from Chase bank. I responded that I did not recognize the transaction and canceled my debit card. I immediately reviewed my online transaction log and noted 16 unauthorized charges, all to XXXX. I called Chase and opened a claim for all of them, totaling {$510.00} with tax. A couple of hours later, I discovered that my XXXXyo son had bypassed parental controls and multifactor authentication on an XXXX and made these purchases. I notified both Chase and XXXX immediately and requested refund from XXXX. XXXX refunded {$88.00} but refused to refund the rest. XXXX also disabled my account so that I could not access anything. ( I have filed a separate FTC complaint for XXXX ). Chase did " an investigation '' and determined my claim was denied on XX/XX/2023, communicated via letter uploaded to their app. I spoke to a senior person in their claims department ( XX/XX/XXXX ) who told me the claim was " invalid '' but refused to tell me why it was " invalid '' except that it involved a digital wallet instead of a physical card. I asked if she meant to say that my digital wallet could be freely used without authorization by me, and she became flustered and hung up on me. I expect Chase to protect my bank account from unauthorized purchases ( including by my XXXX year old son ) and to limit my liability under the Fair Credit Billing Act. I also expect my use of a digital wallet and/or online purchasing to be protected just as much as purchases using a physical card. Of note, I do not have access to the items purchased, in addition to the fact that purchases were unauthorized. Also of note, Chase canceled my replacement debit card without notice on XX/XX/2023. Their debit card department stated via phone call that the claims department did this due to unauthorized purchases using a digital wallet ( presumably, the purchases above as I have not reported other unauthorized purchases ). This would seem to contradict their statement that digital wallets can not be involved in unauthorized purchases. I have uploaded the letter from Chase which includes the following : " Contact us if you would like to request the information we used for our research. '' This was refused and the agent hung up on me. I have also attached screenshots from XXXX showing the refund requests to XXXX.
