Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Charged too much interest
Consumer Complaint: I spent many hours on the phone with Chase supervisors on XX/XX/2023 trying to determine how much balance I had subject to the regular purchase interest on the card of around 25 % APR. I was finally told the number was {$4700.00}, which is what appeared on my XX/XX/XXXX statement as the balance subject to that interest. I made a payment of that amount ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/2023. Chase applied part of that payment not to the balance accruing 25 % APR, but to a " My Chase Plan '' ( flexible spending offer ) on the card, which had a 0 % APR and $ 0 monthly plan fee. This is in violation of federal law which requires that payments be applied to the highest interest rate first on the account, to which my payment should have been applied to the entirety of the balance accruing the purchase interest charge of 25 % APR. My statement on XX/XX/2023 includes {$1300.00} subject to the 25 % interest, which should be {$0.00} as the " My Chase Plan '' that my payment was incorrectly applied to had a balance of {$1600.00}.

Consumer Complaint: Chase Bank uses its bill-payment system to defraud customers. On several occasions, I have requested payment for a mortgage account to be made from my checking account through Chase 's automated payment system. In all cases, Chase immediately takes the requested sum of money, {$4000.00}, {$3500.00}, etc., out of my bank account -- but the mortgage company is never paid. Chase always has a very stupid excuse for this non-payment happening, even though they immediately take possession of my money. On top of this, I have been charged late fees of {$160.00} by my mortgage company for non-payment by Chase. This has happened three times now, and as of today, a mortgage check that was supposed to be paid by XX/XX/23, yesterday, has not been paid, even though my funds we taken on XX/XX/23. I believe Chase Bank is committing customer and banking fraud under the guise of ineptitude.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited 2x {$1000.00} checks, 1 {$1500.00} check, and 1 {$2000.00} check to chase. They were from my family. I also received {$250.00} from roth staffing via direct deposit. Chase claimed these were fraud, wouldn't accept their ( my family 's ) phone numbers for verification. I called ( yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX ) and now they are saying after the account closed ( same day ) I will only be receiving {$75.00} of my {$5700.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I have an ins agency charging me for an old policy and a current policy that is not due until XX/XX/2023. I disputed the charges, contacted the credit card company and cancelled my card. The next day they let the charges go through again. That was the point of cancelling the card. They told me to tell the merchant but they still should not let charges go through

Consumer Complaint: Hi, reason for this complaint is my credit report does not show my 2 credit cards from Chase because they are " business '' cards. I have had 2 cards with them since around 2010 and I use and pay my cards on time every month. My credit limit between the two is approx {$95000.00}. My business is my name, I am a sole proprietor. I am personally responsible for any debt. XXXX XXXX refused to give last name ) at Chase credit bureau escalations stated that Chase only reports to my credit report if I am 60 days late. I would like Chase to report my credit card history to my credit report because I am having a hard time obtaining things like personal car insurance because I have no credit. All my vehicles and homes have been paid for for years. Even with {$95000.00} of credit cards available through Chase I can't get approved for a personal card because my credit report shows no activity. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Consumer Complaint: I have had this Chase XXXX for many years. Recently, approximately within the last year, I started seeing offers on my billing statement. These were " My Chase Plan '' offers. The offer was/is a pay over time plan. I used this " Plan '' a few times. there was no charge or a small monthly charge. My current " Plan '' I used to pay over time a XXXX XXXX XXXX premium. ( {$400.00} ) over 6 months at {$1.00} monthly fee. All well and good up till now. On or about XX/XX/XXXX Chase sent me an email saying I could put {$10000.00} on my credit card ( Ch XXXX ) and pay no interest until XX/XX/XXXX. As I have been having some financial issues of late, I took the offer understanding that there would be a one time {$500.00} fee. What I did not understand, what was not made clear to me and what I find deceptive and fraudulent is that I will always have to pay interest on the My Chase Plan balance as well as any other charges on that card at 17.49 %. Only if I pay {$10000.00} by XX/XX/XXXX can I avoid interest charges. Chase designed this interest trap and is perpetrating on its customers.A Chase supervisor explained this to me yesterday and said that the disclaimer read to me by the fast talking lady on the recording may have mentioned this and that I would never be able to avoid paying interest until the {$10000.00} was paid off Thanks, XXXX
