Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX XXXX a XXXX XXXX at the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I opened a checking account in Chase Bank on XXXX XX/XX/2023. Chase Bank had offered that If I enrolled for the direct deposit within 90 days, I would get a bonus of XXXX XXXX I enrolled for the direct deposit on XXXX XX/XX/2023 which is before the validity of 3 months but my check got deposited into the account on XXXX XXXX because of some issue between the bank and the university. Chase Bank claims that I won't be getting a bonus since the check git deposited after the validity. I feel this is unfair since I was just asked to enroll for the direct deposit within 90 days no matter when the check gets deposited. I request that some action be taken against them. I called them multiple times but the bank is not responsive.

Consumer Complaint: For over the past several years my personal information has been dumped on the dark web and the internet. Over 1000 cases of fraud on my account. Accounts emptied. Mail stolen. All due to credit card companies and credit bureaus and banks failing to secure their databases allowing information theft. I have spend the last several years working to clear my financial records. In the past year starting in XX/XX/XXXX and in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX I have sent debt validation letters, some not asked for by creditors in a effort to research issues with fraud. This creditor has not seemed to respond to my letters within 30 days. The creditor needs to respond within 30 days to requests.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX enrolled me into a XXXX subscription when I applied for the XXXX card, without my knowledge. XXXX charged that new credit card, actually it was a Chase credit card. Chase did not send a statement or physical card. Since I did not know that the Chase card had a balance, I did not pay. After three months, I got a collection call and XXXX fewer points on my credit score. My complaint is with Chase. If they had sent a statement, I could have refused the charges. Knowing that XXXX is being investigated by the FTC concerning its XXXX membership Chase should have verified the mailing address after receiving an incomplete address from XXXX. I was told, by Chase, that the mail was returned. I dont think that it is unreasonable to request that the late charges be removed for the reason stated above. This ordeal started in XXXX of last year and continues.

Consumer Complaint: Purchased furniture from XXXX XXXX XXXX during XX/XX/XXXX. Chase offered a My Chase Plan, which involved 0 % interest and no fees for 18 months with equal monthly payments. I added a My Chase Loan during XX/XX/XXXX to the credit card with no fees and 24 months of equal payments and 8.99 % interest. I submitted an " interest-saving payment, '' which the institution 's FAQ indicates the following for : Pay the interest saving balance optionwhich includes the monthly amount for XXXX Chase XXXX month by your due date to avoid interest charges on new purchases. When you choose the interest saving balance option, you wont pay off your entire XXXX Chase XXXX balance earlier than intended, and youll still avoid interest on new purchases. '' When I made a new purchase, the " XXXX Chase XXXX, '' and subsequently paid it a few days later, the payment should've been applied to any purchases with a higher interest rate. The institution 's own FAQs indicate that I won't pay off my entire XXXX Chase XXXX balance earlier than intended. Now the institution has sent me a notification that the lower interest XXXX Chase XXXX has been paid in full. The institution does not allow customers to allocate payments to specific products and penalizes early payments. I reached out and escalated the call to no avail. By the representative 's own omission, the product is confusing and payment allocations are a fair resolution. I will be disputing the interest charges and allocation of payment. Any attempts for collections or impact to my credit should be unlawful.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email " congratulating '' me on the opening of my new checking account with Chase Bank as well as my new credit card also with Chase Bank within minutes of each other. Three minutes later I received emails that stated my contact information had successfully been changed as well as the same with my email address on file. I was successful in communicating this with Chase Bank and they were able to cancel both the credit card and checking account ( with debit card ) before it appeared that any charges could have been made. Chase did verify that the accounts were indeed set up and this was not a false accusation on my part.

Consumer Complaint: I sell Mattress of {$150.00} on XXXX market, a potential buyer ( scammer ) asked to pay by XXXX, and then I received an email from XXXX saying that since my account is not business account, I should upgrade it and let the buyer pay another {$400.00} to upgrade my account and then I should refund the buyer and email back XXXX the proof that I have already credited back the buyer, then I could get my {$550.00}. So I sent the buyer {$400.00} without getting any money back from him. Then I realized that this was scam. I called XXXX and they said XXXX was not their official email. I called my bank and they said XXXX transfer should be immediate and they could help with nothing. Thus Happened at XXXX on XX/XX/2023.

Consumer Complaint: I should be owed 7000 to 8000 points for my Chase Sapphire Preferred Anniversary Bonus. I had the card for over 1 year, and then I did a product change to a Chase Sapphire Reserve. However I was told that I was not eligible for the Anniversary Bonus because I no longer had the card during the benefit period. This is not listed in your Terms and Conditions as described here, on page 2 : https : //static.chasecdn.com/content/dam/card/rulesregulations/en/RPA0444_0477.pdf " To qualify for the 10 % anniversary points bonus each account anniversary year, your account must be open and not in default, as defined in your Cardmember Agreement, at the time of fulfillment. '' I fulfilled the requirements as stated. My credit account was not closed, not in default, and in good standing. I am a loyal customer and insulted that I am being nickeled and dimed over this. I advise you to update your terms and conditions if you want to continue screwing over customers like this. I am strongly considering moving all of my assets to different institution pending the action of this complaint. Thanks, XXXX XXXX
