Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: My wallet was stolen on Saturday XX/XX/13. The theif had my ID and debit card and made an illegal withdrawl at my bank at XXXX hours. They went to a teller at Chase Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The teller gave them XXXX XXXX from my checking account. There were internal safeguards that were supposed to alert Chase Bank if someone took over XXXXXXXX XXXX out of an account. None of those notifications worked. Chances are, the theif looks nothing like me and they did not check the ID picture carefully. The signature did not match at all. How did the theif get my bank account number or pin? Was this an inside job from this branch or another one? I have gotten know answers so far. The bank is working on reimbursing me. Meanwhile, this has cost me time, money, and frustration. There is a police investigation that is going nowhere. Had Chase caught this, we could have caught the criminal and returned all my wallet. Also, Chase would not close my accounts for a day and a half becuase they did not have a photo-ID of me. This opened my accounts up to further fradulent withdrawls.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Sent card you never applied for
Consumer Complaint: Chase JP Morgan Bank opened a credit line/account without my permission or knowledge. The new account appeared on my online banking services, which I first noticed on XX/XX/23. Today, XX/XX/23, a credit card along with associated paperwork arrived at my mailing address. At no point did I sign up for, gave permission to open, contemplated signing up for, let alone knew about this card/account option existed. Chase 's XXXX hotline gave no good explanation as to why this was opened. They gave no dates the account was applied for, nor by what means it was applied for ( in person or online ). They had no direct number which I could call should I have further issues with this specific incident.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, my name is and this is for a claim back around XX/XX/XXXX. I purchased several pieces of furniture at a store about an hour away from my house in XXXX, Mississippi, at a place called the XXXX XXXX XXXX This place is run by criminal employees and criminal managers who are XXXX and apparently this case is being treated just the same. They employ people who are XXXX at the state even the managers. I have been trying for XXXX months now to get funds back on a purchase that I made, which was never given to me. I've been promised several times by Chase that they would handle it as it is UNreceived merchandise THAT HAS BEEN RESOLD. I have asked several times and even had an excutive who was less than thorough giving only about XXXX minutes of her attention a week and after several times explaining how the store kept being closed that the movers i paid on the days they told me they would be open, still had to be paid even thiugh the store was closed several weeks I pleaded for someone to return my call several times to no avail. NOBODY called me back. Between this and the several banking issues I had the month prior I feel though as this is a personal attack especially after the denial on my purchase to the same places i use on a regular basis, the rejected transactions from bank deposits that should have occurred, The strange UNKNOWN changes in my address on file that after I Had this fixed then caused another problem. And dont even get me started on the card cutoffs all of the sudden month and last few month before. I feel this should all have been handled better and that I shouldnt have been lied to when they said they would handle this properly, as I am out of {$400.00} and change thanks to a Great deal of negligence and strange back room talk and messages that were put on file for others like Dont help this customer with anything or talk to the customer or help them have them only talk with XXXX at chase corporate the excutive officer not the front desk lady. Its just an assumption but I got the feeling she did not want people knowing and was dragging this simple debit claim out intentionally, which is UNRECIEVED MERCHANDISE. Here is to still having hope some one will hear my cry after 4 months as {$400.00} is alot and money is very tight since covid. Please feel free to reach out to me at my business number. I will try to be readily available to reciever your call

Consumer Complaint: Jp Morgan/Chase Keeps calling me on in regards to my credit card. I do owe a balance and spoke with a gentleman already on XX/XX/23 XXXX XXXX - XXXX. I spoke with him letting him know the situation & that I can not make a payment until next month He called same day before that earlier in the day but went to voicemail. I then have a lady call me at XX/XX/23 first at around XXXX today & then called me again at XXXX. ID XXXX XXXX.. Tried to argue with me & said they didnt call in regards to this specific credit card since XXXX WHICH WAS A TOTAL LIE. I told her the same thing that I told the guy on the XX/XX/23 & she kept badgering me telling me well when are you going to make the payment? They are calling at least 2-3 times a day I believe is violating the conversation Frequency prong as well as the seven day rule!

Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted the chase customer claims department to report or request a dispute be filed for several transactions. Two of the transactions were from XXXX and I was having an issue resolving it directly with them. I wanted to file a dispute due to services, not rendered, apart from that there were also other charges where, although they were not authorized by me the actual company/merchant confirmed a refund would be processed. ( I believe this is due to a police report being filed. ) I did receive a partial refund from one of these charges. The problem occurred on the call on XX/XX/XXXX instead of reporting it as a dispute with all the details that I provided over the course of a call that was more than an hour long- the agent reported all of these transactions, as if I was reporting them as fraud. They opened a fraud claim, and within a day sent me a secure message advising me that it was denied or declined, due to the fact that it was not Fraud. I contacted them back the following day on the XXXX when I saw the secure message, after on hold for quite some time the agent advised me that there is not a way to reopen any claim, or re-file a claim the way it should have been originally filed as a dispute and not a fraud claim. She then requested that I fax all evidence I was requesting be reviewed and that it would be reviewed by the back office. I faxed over all information and called back on the XXXX. I spoke to someone called XXXX who kept insisting that at this point, I needed to resolve with the merchant. I asked her several times if basically, the issue was not going to get resolved or further investigated due to their/her coworker filing my dispute, and properly as a fraud claim. She refused to answer that and kept directing me to contact the merchant. I am having all sorts of problems with the merchant. Im not sure if theyre even a legitimate merchant as they have used a different names to charge the same account. With XXXX -It appears that they have my issue down as two different ticket numbers and its causing a confusion. Unfortunately, I have not been able to resolve anything and Im still going back-and-forth with both XXXX and a company called XXXX.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I received notification on the morning of XX/XX/15 that both my checking and savings accounts were restricted, supposedly for my protection. There was no notice or warning given prior to this. The language appears to make it sound like suspicious activity was occuring which resulted in the restriction and automatic closing of the accounts but not warning was given. I was not contacted at all until the notice which came the day the restrictions went in place leaving me with no access to my funds. When I called, I spoke to reps from multiple departments and no one could tell me why the restrictions were in place, they confirmed that there was no way for me to access my funds, and I would receive a check for the funds after the account closing process ( which was not initiated by me, but by the bank ) completed in XXXX business days. It is unacceptable that the bank can just freeze my funds, provide absolutely no explanation, and tell me I will just have to wait XXXX weeks plus however long it takes for the check to come in the mail for me to have any access to my funds.

Consumer Complaint: JP Morgan Chase initially closed a corporate card I was responsible for and charged off the total amount past due in XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed this claim in XXXX of XXXX as I was not supposed to be liable as this was a corporate card only. Now 14 months later, in an attempt to force me to pay the debt, have re-reported the account as charged off and listed the charge off date as XX/XX/XXXX. The has critically damaged my credit just as it was recovering from the initial charge off.
