Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Deposits and withdrawals
Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check in my checking account via mobile deposit with Chase bank in the amount of {$2100.00}. The check was issued from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX due to an old mortgage account that I closed in XXXX. I made the deposit on XX/XX/XXXX. A hold was placed on the account. The hold was supposed to be released on XX/XX/XXXX. I called Chase on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX to inquire about releasing the hold. I was transferred to the fraud department. I was told that the check was not able to be verified by XXXX XXXX XXXX bank, however, they did NOT say that the check was not paid. The representative questioned me at length about how I came in possession of check and so forth. I was accused of trying to deposit a fraudulent check. The representative said that my account would be closed on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX and any funds in the account would be forwarded to me via check. As of today, my account shows an available balance from that check in the amount of {$1700.00} dollars that I am not able to access. Nor have I received a check from chase. I am still in possession of the check as it was made via mobile deposit.

Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: My Chase debit account was charged charges totaling XXXX along with exchange rates since this fraudulent charge on my debit card was international. When I checked my account on XX/XX/XXXX at around XXXX XXXX, I saw that I was negative XXXX - XXXX dollars and saw 17 charges on XXXX dollars from XXXX. I live in XXXX and have no contact with anything in XXXX. I immediately called chase and the agent told me to wait 2 days until the pending charges went completely through so that I could file a claim for them. After 2 days, on the XXXX, I filed a claim to get the money back. On Monday, I called chase where they tell me that the claim has been denied. Apparently, they say that a card was approved from an access code that was sent to my device. The device in question is almost always turned off and I did not give anyone an access code. I told them to please reinvestigate since I am not at fault here and I need my money back. After calling every day since that Monday the XXXX, today the XXXX, they tell me that my claim has been denied again. This amount is half my paycheck and has made me struggle with other debt I had to pay off.

Consumer Complaint: JP Morgan Chase " JPMC '' offered me a credit card through XXXX XXXX. After receiving the credit card with the promotions JPMC allowed me to make purchases, recieve promotional flight miles and pay my bill. The bill payments were on time and there were no issues with the credit crd purchases nor the payments to the creditor. After paying my initial balance I had a small balance that was paid on time as agreed. Soon thereafter, JPMC closed the account for a reason that they would not give. After multiple calls to JPMC refused to give a reason for cancelling the credit after two bill cycles and 100 % on time payments. Because of this my credit dropped, and JPMC would no longer take minimum payments as agreed in the initial contract. JPMC not only wouldn't give a reason for the cancellation of credit account they also refused to allow me to speak to anyone that would give me clear information about why this account was closed. There was no violation of the terms for the credit card, my credit worthiness had not changed in a negative direction. At this time JPMC is showing a discriminatory practice with taking away the credit that was extended and agreed upon. I believe that the demographics and my pertinent personal identifying information has caused JPMC to cancel the credit agreement. In canceling the agreement I believe the credit file should be deleted from my credit report with no traces of negative impact to my credit history, report or score.

Issue: Fraud or scam
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I have checking account in chase bank. In regard to my auto sale advertisement, I got scammed. The scammer sent me a fraud cheque of XXXX usd and later asked refund via XXXX as obviously he was not willing to proceed. On noticing the fraud, I immediately informed chase fraud department and they declined the claim as I have authorized the XXXX payments. My concern is, no one would authorize a payment if its known to be a scam. Also, chase bank could have notified sooner if the cheque was fraud, the money got credited and almost after a week the cheque is being reversed as they found it to be fraud or suspicious. Had it been done earlier or if the fund was kept on hold, I could have saved my subsequent money transfers. Absolutely devastated by this loss and hence reporting for a potential refund.

Issue: Getting a loan or lease
Subissue: Credit denial
Consumer Complaint: I received credit denial for an auto loan from this bank from a dealership ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Their reasonings for credit denial were based off of credit reporting for items that went delinquent due to unemployment delayed from a XXXX and several XXXX unemployment claims still unpaid and unresolved. And zero pandemic assistance received during the entire COVID-19 timeframe. Along with vehicle type, make or model and/or purpose not eligible for financing as my employment is an independent contractor for XXXX XXXX. Everything was delinquent and caused my credit issues because of delayed unemployment, delayed assistance, and I applied for thousands of jobs claiming to be hiring and they were not. I started doing XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX because I was homeless and sleeping at rest stops seeking help for shelter, etc. Or I was denied the jobs based off of EEOC violations. In which case, I have hundreds of complaints filed with all of these agencies that went unresponsive for a year or longer. I am owed roughly {$42000.00} to {$96000.00} in unemployment money. I wound up homeless and lost my FHA HUD backed mortgage waiting on nothing to happen. And my congressman sent the police to my home to have me XXXX and committed for a XXXX XXXX versus resolving what I was contacting his constituent services about. Him and all other political representatives in my district and directors on all levels of government agencies received hundreds of letters, emails, calls, etc., from me and NOBODY responded over a 4-year period. Which prompted a congressional ethics complaint. Prompting me to go about this in this manner to prove a point to the lack of action and response from people who are supposed to be a service to the public and I was a taxpayer. And now am again. I'm not in my situation by choice. I didn't create this!

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I received an email from Chase Bank saying that I have requested to replace my debit damaged card. I was shocked. I had my card with me all the times. Right away I called Chase customer service ( see attached ) at XXXX and told them it was NOT me who requested for replacement. The agent told me however, the card is on its way by XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX the package was delivered by XXXX and since I was at work and nobody at home, he drops it on the entrance door and left. On same day at XXXX the package was stolen. ( This is all recorded by ring door bell ). At XXXX I got a text message from Chase Fraud if I attempt to withdraw XXXX. I replied NO. Immediately I checked my account and unfortunately there were 5 transactions summing to {$2200.00} withdrawn from my account on ATM using my stolen debit card which I NEVER authorize. I called Fraud dept. to report these withdrawals and also customer service to cancel the card and issue me with a new card. The new card was to be delivered again by XXXX. On UPS website I added an alternate delivery location .I got an email from UPS telling me that Chase doesn't allow packages to be sent to alternative location. On XXXX XXXX the package was again delivered by XXXX at XXXX and since I was not at home to receive the package, the driver left it at the front door. The package is again stolen by the same person at XXXX. I saw this event live since i got a notification from XXXX about the person at the front door. I right away contacted customer service informing that the card was stolen again and to cancel the card. I requested If Chase would mail me the new card instead delivering by XXXX. Please see the following attached 1. documents in chronological order. 2. Video link 3. Screenshot of a thief stealing the package
