Consumer Complaint: There were several transactions which were not mine. I disputed these transactions and went into the bank in person and let them know that I was not the person who transacted or received what was bought with my bank account. I was chased into the bank by a XXXX XXXX while another XXXX woman was outside in the parking lot and standing, watching the ATM machine with her camera phone. I took a photo of the woman watching the ATM machine with her camera phone, and they started chasing me. I could not use the ATM because of them and they chased me into the bank. The XXXX called the police, XXXX police department never showed up. I waited for an hour. This was in XXXX, New York XXXX XXXX being the city nearest. The location was on XXXX XXXX. The transactions totaled more than the balance which is currently sent to collection. There were many items which were never delivered, there were also payments made for my car, electricity, and other services that the companies never received at all. The money was deducted from my account and the bank has refused to send me my XXXX statement, I also need statements for the other months. The bank has continued to say that it is duplicate complaint, I have lost a lot of money now, and this is no duplicate.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Sent card you never applied for
Consumer Complaint: On Friday XXXX, I opened mail addressed to me ( my last name had a typo ) from Chase. Inside the mail, it contained a physical credit card ( Chase Freedom Unlimited visa ; my name was there but with the same typo as what is on the mail address ). The credit card listed the credit access line and cash access line, and the credit card had instructions to verify the card. It also included supplemental information, including cardmember agreement rates and fees table, Rewards, Guide to Benefits, Cardmember Agreement, and Personal Information summary. I plan to contact Chase to have them cancel this credit card/credit line, as well as report this as fraud. I did pull a credit report through XXXX, and I did note the following : -My full name was listed, but I saw an additional name with the same typo as what was on the Chase credit card -I saw 1 hard inquiry in XX/XX/2023 for JP Morgan ( Chase ) -I saw multiple soft inquiries for JP Morgan ( Chase ) I am also planning on contacting XXXX to dispute these inconsistencies in my credit report, as well as assess my options regarding a potential credit freeze. Therefore, based from what I saw on my credit report, and because I did not apply for a credit card through JP Morgan Chase, I believe that this is some form of fraud.

Consumer Complaint: Made a {$25.00} charge using XXXX XXXX. Charge was treated as a cash advance and Chase charged me a {$10.00} dollar fee for the {$25.00} charge. If I knew the charge would be treated as a cash advance and I would not have made it. I complained to Chase that I have made this transaction before and it was not a cash advance. Requested that the {$10.00} fee and any related financing charges be reversed since i wasnt aware of the charge and didnt approve it.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I get paid the XXXX and XXXX. XXXX XXXX for some reason takes time to process for direct deposit so I might receive possibly 3 paper checks before I can get the direct deposit. I received my check the XXXX of XXXX and deposited in my chase account the XXXX of XXXX. I was told that they would hold my check until the XXXX of XXXX but at the same time they restricted my account, on that day of the XXXX of XXXX when I saw that the funds were in my account thinking that they had removed the restrictions I tried paying all my backtracked bills but to find out the account was frozen. I called customer service to see if they could lift the restrictions but I was told that they couldnt verify the check and that if they werent able to do so within a time frame the money would go back to the state. On XX/XX/XXXX I had tried calling customer service to provide as much information as I could to help them verify it. I gave them the number to HR at the prison, gave the the number to the accounting manager of payroll and they couldnt call because their system couldnt verify the numbers. Theres really not any other numbers because I work for the government. Ive gone now one month without pay and in the verge of bankruptcy.

Consumer Complaint: I canceled a subscription for a product that I did not want. They sent it anyway, I returned the product immediately via usps with required signature upon delivery. They did sign and accept the product. They still took the money from my checking account. I went to my bank and showed them the proof of delivery and acceptance of their product. The bank refuses to get my money back from this corporate company. The bank is siding with this greedy company and not defending my rights as steady customer who is in his right with out standing proof. They are both crooks for steeling my money outright!!

Consumer Complaint: hello, the former employer did not confirm my salary check in the bank, because of which my bank account was blocked and then completely closed, due to the fact that he does not answer calls and does not confirm the salary check that he paid me for my work earlier. his phone works, I wrote him requests for his XXXX to confirm this check, but he said that he would not confirm until I publicly apologized to him, and also said that I should sign a paper stating that I had no claims against him and only after that he will confirm this paycheck. I want to clarify when I got a job with him, we did not have such conditions. i have gone many times to the bank they tell me there is nothing they can do and that i have to ask him to confirm the check or find his number to which he will answer, but he does not have another number, he is just trying to create problems for me by blocking my account.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 : contacted Chase Bank Credit Card department for a possible fraud case involving my credit card ( ending # XXXX, previously ending # XXXX ). A new credit card with a new number was issued to me after my reporting ( new card ending # XXXX ). My reporting consisted a series of unauthorized purchases between XX/XX/2023 & XX/XX/2023. I informed Chase bank that I didn't make those charges, total {$300.00}. Initially, I was given the credit immediately. However, after the investigation, the credit was removed and the charges were put back to my account. XX/XX/2023 : after the second review by the Bank, I was informed by the Chase Recovery Team at Chase ( XXXX ) that I am liable for the charges claimed because those charges were made via the chip. I repetitiously told the Bank that those charges were not made by me because some of them were made in the weekend and on days that I was not at work or off from the office. All those charges were from a restaurant named XXXX. If I was not at work, it's impossible for me to make those charges. Nonetheless, the Bank said they could not be wrong because all transactions made through their chip are perfect and mistake-proof.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, the HR department of my new employer informed me that the direct deposit of my preferred banking institution would not go through and that I would get a paper check instead dated for the XXXX of XXXX. This was problematic as I was going to be traveling internationally and would not be able to do anything with it. To that end, I found out what bank the paper check would be drawn against ( JP Morgan Chase ) and called and spoke to a representative and inquired with them that if I opened a a bank account with them and then deposited the check via mobile deposit, if I would have any issues. They responded " Not at all, in fact since the funds are drawn against a JP Morgan Chase account, you will probably have access if not all immediately, but at least partially in a few days. At that point, you wont have your debit card but you will have the ability to link your external bank accounts or XXXX to your other accounts. '' This turned out to be a lie. I opened the account online, took receipt of the paper check and mobile deposited it on the XXXX of XXXX in the amount of {$3500.00}. Within a day, I accessed the app again and it stated that the entire check was being held for 10 days for reasons unspecified so I was unable to do anything with the account, despite my calling and speaking to another rep who blamed it on federal guidelines ; but that is NOT what the federal guidelines say at all about initial deposits which was already clearly in violation of the Expedited Funds Availability Act. Regardless, on XX/XX/2023, the funds finally became available. As I had still NOT received the Debit card which I had been told would arrive XXXX days prior ( Turns out they never sent it ), I attempted to XXXX myself like the rep said. I did XXXX test transactions of XXXX each which seemed to work fine. On the third XXXX transaction ( which was within the daily limit of {$500.00} a day according to the Chase XXXX ), the transaction was denied. Thinking maybe there was some kind of limit after all, I tried a few different amounts... all failed. Finally, I called into Chase bank at XXXX XXXX and was informed that they considered that suspicious activity ( even though THEIR rep is the XXXX that told me that I could do that way before I even opened the account. I in fact XXXX money between my other bank accounts quite frequently as it is faster. ). I was told by the Chase rep that I just need to go into the bank to withdraw my funds. That afternoon I went into the bank to do exactly that and was THEN told that I couldn't and that I needed to call XXXX. I called this number and was not only told that my account had been closed but also that I would have NO access to my deposited funds... with no further explanation. Additionally, I was told that it would be up to XXXX business days BEFORE they would actually close the account and THEN they would mail me a certified check of the REMAINING funds minus any FEES that I owed THEM. For WHAT would I owe them?? THEY XXXX ME. I have been between jobs for overt wo months and have a LOT of bills to pay. My FIRST check I still cant access for who KNOWS how long. If I hadn't gone into the branch yesterday afternoon and found out they had closed my account and appropriated my payroll check, they would have done the same thing with my Direct Deposit that goes into that account in a week and I would have had no access to that either. Luckily I was able to stop that and will have to contend with yet ANOTHER paper check as there wasn't enough time to switch it to XXXX of my other banks being less than a week out from payday. What Chase did and has apparently been doing to people for years is criminal and totally insensitive to its supposed customers. I did NOTHING wrong and they restricted my account and have denied me access to my legally and lawfully earned funds and basically told me that I will have to wait until they get AROUND to releasing my funds to me in some open ended response.
