Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check of {$79000.00} from my personal check of XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) to my XXXX account on XX/XX/XXXX. As I needed the money by XX/XX/XXXX, I asked whether it would be available in this Chase account by the date ( XX/XX/XXXX ) at a Chase bank branch, and a Chase associate said " yes '' after talking with the branch manager once I could show the balance was available by using my BOA app on next day ( XX/XX/XXXX ) ( I specifically told that I would not deposit my check if it's not available by XX/XX/XXXX ). I came to the branch on XX/XX/XXXX and showed the XXXX app to one of the Chase associates. She said she would call me once the holding is released. I got a call in the afternoon on XX/XX/XXXX and the associate told me that the money would not be available until XX/XX/XXXX. I revisited the branch and talked with the branch manager. She told me that it happened as my account was new ( less than 60 days ). However, it's already over 60 days, and my account can't be classified as a new account. She also explained that it could happen even to customers having millions in his/her accounts or long-time customers of Chase. ( I have been a customer of Chase since XXXX, more than 20 years, but probably I'm not qualified as a long-time customer ) She took a picture of the cleared BOA check from my BOA app, and she told me that she would try to release the holding. No contact from the branch manager since then. I called Chase customer service on XX/XX/XXXX and talked in a three-way conference call among Chase, XXXX, and myself to verify that XXXX already cleared my check from the BOA side and it is Chase bank that is not releasing my money to my account. ( The 3-way conference call was initiated by the Chase associate ) Chase associate told me that the money would be available soon on XX/XX/XXXX. Nothing happened and no contact from Chase Bank since then. I sent emails twice to Chase, and the reply asked me to contact another Chase phone number to release the holding. I called today, but no resolution yet. I have my personal Chase account since XXXX and the XXXX account since XXXX. Can XXXX hold my check for 10 days in this case? They told me that it was holding as it was my first deposit of a check. I don't think that could be one of the reasons according to the Expedited Funds Availability Act ( EFAA ). I'm wondering how much the bank can use free money for its profit by using this type of tactic if I'm not the only one in this situation. I lost my interest from XXXX, and can't use the money for my business for 10 days.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I purchased 2 one-way flight tickets to depart on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX . On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX canceled the flight and re-booked the flight for the day after, XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX multiple times requesting a refund and they refused each time, and stopped replying to me. I contacted Chase Sapphire Reserve customer service on XX/XX/XXXX to file a dispute, but the representative recorded inaccurate information on my claim which led to the dispute being deined. He stated that XXXX XXXX has a policy to refund customers, which is not true. According to the US Department of Transportation, consumers are entitled to a refund if the airline significantly delays a flight : " Schedule Change/Significant Delay - A consumer is entitled to a refund if the airline made a significant schedule change and/or significantly delays a flight and the consumer chooses not to travel. '' I called Chase Sapphire Reserve customer service again on XX/XX/XXXX and was notified that my original claim was closed due to the previous agent 's inaccurate notes. Chase Claim # XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a CD account for XXXX for XXXX months at Chase Bank because I saw the advertisement that said the interest rate was 5 %. I opened it through the app, but after I opened it, I noticed the interest rate to be only 3 %. So, I got confused and contacted Chase Bank. The banker answered my phone and told me that the interest should be 5 %, and the app might be delayed. And he calculated how much money I could probably earn through this CD : XXXX % * ( 3 months/12 months ). Later, as the three-month approached, I found that the interest rate shown on my app was still 3 %. So, I got Chase Bank again to request more information. This time, they said the interest rate was always 3 % and had never been that high. I told them what the previous banker told me before, they said that I could provide no evidence for what the previous banker said. I was so angry!!! Do I supposed to record all the phone calls from them??? I mean it is okay if the interest rate is 3 % originally, but it is definitely not okay if they fooled me. I filed several complaints but never heard back any positive results. Everybody from Chase acted as if it was none of my business. Nobody even apologized for that.

Subissue: Didn't receive advertised or promotional terms
Consumer Complaint: I opened the card around late XXXX ( possibly XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX ) with an offer of 1.5 % bonus cash back for 12 months with Chase Freedom, and they sent me an email on XX/XX/XXXX, saying that they made a mistake but will honor the reward bonus of 1.5 % up until XX/XX/XXXX, which shouldn't be the agreement. The offer that I applied for was for 12 months with a 0 % APR for 15 months. They did not honor my offer, even though I applied through the link that was referred to me. I got an email with the terms of a 1.5 % bonus for 12 months on XX/XX/XXXX, with a 0 % APR offer until XX/XX/XXXX. The link that I used to apply for the card was still available in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Probably the worst thing about all this is that they have a promo for cash back matches for all purchases, so 5 % XXXX %, 3 % = 6 %, and 1.5 % = 3 % when I last checked. This is for cards ending in XXXX.
