Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 after 17 years with XXXX decided to look for cheaper cell phone service. Saw XXXX advertised person over XXXX got a discount and also got a discount for auto pay. After talking to a XXXX representative in person saying I would not get the discounts and it would cost more than XXXX which I had for 17 years I decided to go to another phone carrier that was cheaper. My wife and I both decided to have our cell phone numbers ported over again after 24 hours. I made numerous attempted phone calls to XXXX to dispute the matter but they ignored my request. Also at the time my social security number was not given to XXXX. Now they have turned it over to collections and some how XXXX got my social security number. Since XX/XX/2022 XXXX is not advertising cell phone service for 1/2 of what they were XX/XX/2022. The information they gave me at the time was very misleading and their cell service also not working very well in my house. I do not have other means of telephone communication and need a cell phone to work inside my house. I have also received letter from collection debt collector that I have an attorney which is false and misleading. I request assistance in this matter. Thanks!

Consumer Complaint: In early XXXX, XXXX I received notice via the US Mail from I.C. System Inc that they are collecting debt owed to XXXX XXXX. They claim that amount past due was {$1000.00}. This is XXXX of many attempts from several collection companies to fraudulently collect funds from me. The first attempt was from XXXX in XXXX, XXXX. They claimed I owed funds to XXXX. I immediately contacted XXXX and was told I did not owe any funds and they had not requested debt collection from XXXX. XXXX assigned to me a complaint reference number XXXX. I later was contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX saying I owed funds to XXXX / XXXX. I filed a complaint with the office of Indiana Attorney General on XX/XX/XXXX. The XXXX office investigated but XXXX XXXX XXXX did not respond. Then on XX/XX/XXXX I received notice from XXXX ( another debt collection company ) saying I owed {$1000.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX. So the attempt by I.C. System to fraudulently collect past due funds is the fourth different debt collection company! On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent an email to I.C. System, Inc stating that no funds are due. They did not respond to my email. On XX/XX/XXXX I was notified by XXXX ( credit report XXXX XXXX ) that I.C. System notified XXXX that I owe {$1000.00}. I notified XXXX and they have filed for a dispute investigation of fraud. The case number assigned is XXXX. This issue has progressed over several years and through four debt collection companies, all of which are fraudulent. Thanks for any action you can take to contact this latest company I.C. System, Inc and ask them to cease and desist.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX originally charged me {$74.00} for a service last year. I originally disputed this bill on XXXX. ( screenshots of my chat with XXXX attached ). I cancelled my service with them on XX/XX/XXXX and returned the retened equipment, as of that point I could no longer use the service they provided. However, they decided that I had to pay full price for the service that I could no longer recieve. When I disputed the charge they told me it was a subscription and I didn't have a choice. Since then XXXX sent the bill to a debt collector, I.C. System Inc. I have spoken to them multiple times and informed them of the situation. I offered to pay the amount up until the cancelation date if they would consider the debt collected in full. The collector agreed over the phone and accepted payment of {$42.00}. Dispite this, I am still getting letters from the debt collector asking me to pay the remaining balance.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I purchased an XXXX XXXX as part of my XXXX XXXX. One year later, XXXX of XXXX, I paid the phone off early and moved my service to XXXX. Unbeknownst to me, XXXX continued billing me $ XXXX for data charges for the remainder of XXXX with the final balance being {$230.00}. These bills were being sent to an old XXXX address that I was no longer using so I was unaware of the charges. In XXXX of XXXX, XXXX moved the account into collections at IC System. After being contacted by IC System, on XX/XX/XXXX, I paid IC System {$230.00}. I paid the amount IC System said was due to XXXX and was informed that the account was paid in full. At that time, the account was not showing up on my credit report. I received documentation from IC Systems stating the XXXX account balance was XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX, I saw that I had a collection from XXXX for {$2.00} on my credit report. I contacted XXXX, was told there was still an outstanding balance, even after IC System said the balance was paid in full, and I paid them {$2.00} at that time. The {$2.00} plus the previously paid {$230.00} equals {$230.00} which was the amount of my final bill from XXXX that I just recently found in my old XXXX email account. I dont know where the disconnect was between IC System and XXXX on the amount due but it has caused nothing but issues for me. IC System collected the wrong amount and XXXX put the remainder ( {$2.00} ) on my credit report. It was in XXXX of XXXX that XXXX first re-aged my account on my credit report. At that time, it had been appearing as a charge off dated XXXX of XXXX. After I paid the {$2.00}, they changed it to XX/XX/XXXX. Although I paid the full {$230.00}, the account is still showing on my credit report as legally paid for less than the full balance. Im working on getting a business line of credit and need to have this XXXX collection removed off of my credit report. I contacted XXXX and asked for a goodwill deletion. I had been a customer for many years, never in collections, and paid the amount that was due after the account was closed immediately upon learning about it. XXXX replied back declining the goodwill deletion and stated that the payment I made was made in response to a negotiated settlement offer. Not true. Just this past week, I am seeing that XXXX has once again re-aged the charge off. This time it is appearing as XX/XX/XXXX making it look like a fresh charge off.

Consumer Complaint: Today, I.C. System, Inc. placed an erroneous {$86.00} XXXX XXXX cable bill as in collections on my credit report. I spoke with supervisor XXXX today. I explained this is a mistake because I always paid XXXX on time every month via enrollment in auto-pay. And, I never received notice of any issue. I cancelled service in XXXX, XXXX at my XXXX, OH condo. When the condo was sold in XXXX, XXXX, the title agent and buyer 's representatives confirmed all utilities and bills for service of any kind at the condo were paid in full at time of closing. XXXX said she would " make a notation '' of my dispute. Otherwise, I.C. System will not initiate any formal internal investigation or do anything to ensure compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act or the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act. XXXX also refused my request to go up the chain of command and have a person with authority to act call me. XXXX also said that per her review of my account, I.C. System never mailed anything to me at my current physical address in XXXX, OH via ordinary, certified, priority or first class mail. I advised that as a commercial litigation attorney, I may file a lawsuit in Federal Court in XXXX, OH as this matter will adversely affect my current plans to apply for mortgage pre-approval.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XX/XX/2023 I received a notification from XXXX that a collection item had been placed in my XXXX credit files by I. C. Systems , Inc. in the amount of XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) dollars. To be clear I have not received a collection notice from I. C. Systems , Inc.. Given the amount, it would appear to be an item that was returned to the alleged original creditor " unable to collect '' because the former collections agent was unlawfully engaging in collections without license in my state. I asked that agency to verify and validate the alleged debt -- they did not. I asked the collections agent to provide me with a copy of the bill that substantiated the alleged amounts owed to the original creditor -- they did not. I asked for the name of their registered agent in my state, their business ID, and their license number with my state 's regulator -- they refused. Now, per the FDCPA I have thirty ( 30 ) days after receiving a collection notice to dispute the alleged collection item. Customarily the collections agent does not place a collection item within credit files until the debt can be verified and validated after notification of dispute is filed by the consumer and/or payment for the alleged amount is submitted before the thirty-day period has lapsed. I have received no collection notice and thus have been unable to exercise my right of notice and opportunity to be heard. As an individual that is employed by a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, my finances are periodically reviewed and I am required to handle financial issues within close proximity to receiving notice. This makes right of notice crucial to mitigate any concerns, or perceived concerns, surrounding issue of national security. Finally, to mitigate any distractions that may arise from civil issues, we are given the ability to obtain counsel through a third-party as a part of our employment benefits. Given the nature of my employment, financial matters are of utmost concern.
