Consumer Complaint: On my credit report there is debt in my collections from a company I do not owe them money or the people they are collecting for any money. This is identity theft and I do not owe them or anyone else any money for unpaid bills. I shall attach a photo of what I'm being accused of. I have looked into this and it is clearly fraud. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX gave my name to a collection agency for an account with which I have no association. They claimed the balance was {$790.00} and due on XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed the account sometime in late XXXX or XXXX ( I am not sure of the dates ). I finally heard from XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX. They claimed that they could not investigate since I did not have an account number. I stated that I did not have an account number because I had no knowledge of the account prior to debt collectors contacting me and that I did not keep the account number. I was contacted again today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) by I.C. System Inc. XXXX XXXX gave them the account number. Obviously, XXXX XXXX had access to it when I spoke with XXXX XXXX on the phone. I believe that they know the account in fraudulent. I further believe that they fabricate these accounts and knowingly have debt collectors attempt to collect fake accounts. I believe this because it would have been trivially easy for them to verify that I did not live in Mississippi where they claim the account was opened during XXXX. I request that the CFPB open a criminal investigation into XXXX XXXX 's conduct and the conduct of I.C. System, Inc.
