Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I have been experiencing issues with I.C. Systems regarding an alleged debt that they have been reporting on my consumer report. The debt amount is listed as {$1500.00}, and I have been disputing its validity since XXXX of 2022. Despite multiple attempts to request verification of this debt, I.C. Systems has not provided any supporting documentation to prove its validity. On XXXX, I sent my XXXX and final letters to XXXX XXXX I.C. Systems, requesting proof of the alleged debt and how they determined it meets the requirements for reporting. However, they have continuously disregarded my letters and have persistently reported the debt to my consumer report without providing any verification. Additionally, I successfully submitted a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) complaint # XXXX about this unverifiable debt approximately a month ago. Logged in to the CFPB portal today to check the status but somehow my complaint can not be found. I.C. Systems has continued to report the debt XXXX more times within a two-week period. The most recent update was reported on XXXX, XXXX and XXXX I believe that I.C. Systems ' actions are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Their failure to provide adequate verification and their continuous reporting of an unverified debt have negatively impacted my creditworthiness and caused unnecessary distress. I am seeking resolution in the form of a cease reporting, where I.C. Systems immediately stops reporting this unverified debt to my consumer report until they can provide adequate proof of its validity. I request that they comply with the FCRA and FDCPA regulations to ensure accurate and lawful reporting practices. If they fail to cease reporting within a reasonable time frame, I request that appropriate fines be imposed on I.C. Systems, amounting to {$1000.00} for each day the unverified debt remains on my consumer report. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope for a swift resolution to address these violations. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX Email : XXXX XXXX
