Consumer Complaint: This is XXXX XXXX XXXX, who is submitting this CFPB complaint myself, and to inform you that there is no third party involved in the process. Regardless of the multiple written requests both the bureaus and collection agency, the unverified account I C SYSTEM ( Original Creditor : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) with the account number XXXX is still reporting on my credit report in violation of Federal Law. The XXXX and XXXX Credit Bureaus failed to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 USC sections 1681i within the time declared by law and continued reporting of UNCONFIRMED information which now, given all my attempts to address it directly with the creditor, as willful negligence and non-compliance with federal statutes. Please reinvestigate the whole information especially the account type, date opened, balance, comments, and payment history. This information seems to be misleading. This will need to be REMOVED asap.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it concerns, I have requested an investigation by the three major credit bureaus for the following debt collectors : I C System. This company opened an account using my personal information with no authorization from me. I C System has reported to The Bureau that the accounts of the alleged debt are open and active but listed under derogatory marks. How can an account show open under a collection status? I requested from all three bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) an investigation for this company, and the process has not started. XXXX sent a response letter providing me with the contact information for the debt collection company in which I have already sent a validation letter. I C System has reported an incorrect illegal account to The Credit Bureau without consent from me. The Bureau reported that the account was valid. I spoke with this company and explained that the devices were returned to the alleged Original Creditor. The Original Creditor was listed on my credit as XXXX XXXX which is incorrect. I am a consumer which makes me the Original Creditor. I also explained that the final bill was paid, and the account was closed. I requested that I C System provide me with a contractual agreement between them and I containing my signature. The document requested should show that I agreed to open an account using my name, address, phone number, social security number, etc within their establishment. I do not owe this company and the alleged debt has already been paid. This tactic is listed in the U.S. and State law as identity theft and has been violated. They assigned a company identifier number with my personal information attached for an alleged debt that I do not owe. According to 15 USC 1692 d : A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. I have multiple denials from major companies due to this oppression.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX sent an account to collections which has been attached to my credit in error as it is not my account. The account was sent to IC System for collection and currently has a balance of {$1300.00}. I spoke to IC System on XX/XX/2022 and they provided me with the XXXX account number, the name and spelling of the customer, the service address and the service dates. They told me that I needed to file a fraud report with XXXX XXXX. I do not believe that this is fraud because the agent I spoke to at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 said that there was no social security number used to open the account they are attempting to collect on. The name on the account that they are trying to collect on is pronounced the same as my first and maiden last name. However, the spelling of both the first and last name of that individual are different from mine. The service address is in a state which I have never lived. Now I am being burdened with filing a police report and getting a fraud report notarized in order to have this removed from my credit. It seems that they randomly selected someone with a similar name to collect the debt from. I was never contacted in an attempt to collect on the debt. I was only made aware when I received an alert from my credit card company.
