Consumer Complaint: Collection company IC System , Inc. violated two of my consumer rights when they reported a fraudulent collections account to all 3 credit bureaus causing my excellent credit score to drop significantly. IC System XXXX Inc. Collection letter was received on XX/XX/XXXX on behalf of XXXX for {$9800.00}. I sent a dispute letter and on that letter also requested debt validation and details of the account- i.e. when it was created, when it was sent to collections, and an itemized bill for the amount of {$9800.00}. On my dispute letter I also mentioned that I believed the account was a result of ID theft and that I had placed a fraud alert and a freeze with all XXXX credit bureaus. The letter was mailed to IC Systems XXXX IncXXXX on XX/XX/XXXX via certified mail with green card receipt. Also, on XX/XX/XXXX, I placed a Fraud Alert and a freeze on XXXX, XXXX and XXXX on that same phone call I reported to each credit bureau of a fraudulent collections account from XXXX for {$9800.00} and that this was not my debt and also told them I had sent a dispute letter to the collection agency. Collections account was still not showing in all XXXX credit bureaus. I also called my bank and credit cards to alert them of the possible fraud and/or identity theft. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX and XXXX showed the fraudulent collections account and there was no note that account is under dispute due to fraud. XXXX and XXXX show that the collections account was reported on XX/XX/XXXX. Then on XX/XX/XXXX the fraudulent collections account appeared on XXXX. All 3 of my excellent scores have dropped between XXXX to XXXX points! IC. System , Inc. collection agency violated my rights twice : first, they reported the fraudulent account to the 3 credit bureaus during my 30 day dispute window that ends XX/XX/XXXX and secondly, by not including a note that the account is under dispute due to fraud. I am also yet to receive the documents I requested from the IC System , Inc.
