Consumer Complaint: A debt collection agency known as " IC System '' appeared on my credit report displaying a past due debt of {$180.00} sent to collections under the original creditor of " AT & T UVERSE ''. This is not my debt. This very same debt and past due amount has appeared and been sent into collections within my credit report before, and in turn a previous debt collection agency known as " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' tried to collect the amount of {$180.00} from me in exchange for a removal of the collections debt from my report. After a dispute with credit bureaus and a complaint to the CFPB, this issue was resolved, and the debt was erased from my credit report. Now, it has resurfaced once again, but this time the debt collection agency known as " IC System '' is giving it their best shot. I asked them for information in regards to the debt for the purpose of verifying its validity and my role within it. They complied and provided me with the information. The debt verification info they provided was FALSE, and does NOT prove in any way or fashion that this debt belongs to me. I NEVER possessed and serviced any AT & T account under the dates and addresses they provided. At this point, I am suspecting to be a victim of identity fraud, therefore I have begun a fraudulent claims process with AT & T and have corresponded with my local police department. I have also placed a fraud alert upon my credit report. Yet, " IC System '' is still trying to collect a debt that is not mine.
