Consumer Complaint: We have paid overage payments during most of the loan 's history. However, the balance doesn't correctly represent the payments made. We have requested all overages to be applied to the principle. Yet, there has been no explanation as to why GM won't apply the overages to the principle. The loan contract is due to expire in XX/XX/2021. We are trying to understand why there are now 8 payments left. Each month an additional payment gets added to the loan. The car loan was a 0 % interest loan, " supposedly. '' With no interest applied, the whole payment made to the loan should go to the principle. There have been many credit reports that document an interest of approx. 2.9 %. All of our loan documents state there should be no interest applied. We have requested a full payment history, which has not been successful.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial is the company I used for my auto loan. They were incorrectly reporting information on my credit which caused so much damage to my financial situation. I paid off my car loan over 3 months ago and have yet to receive the title for my vehicle. I contacted them and was told I had to wait 45 days. It's now 3 months and still nothing. Dealing with this company has been a total nightmare and would never recommend anyone to take a loan from them. They completely damaged my credit and I'm not sure how to fix what they have done.

Consumer Complaint: Americredit obtained a copy of my credit report on XX/XX/2021 - without my permission. The FCRA states that inquires made without " permissible purpose '' can be removed. The FCRA states I can sue for damages up to {$1000.00} for pulling my credit report without my permission. Upon contacting Americredit, they were unable to provide proof of my signed approval for them to pull my credit report. Additionally, two inquiries from Americredit are present on my credit report for the same day.

Consumer Complaint: GM Financial continues month after month of reporting an account on my credit file that I never signed for. They sent a copy of a lease agreement with addresses and signatures that are " not '' mine. I've sent them everything I can to show them that all the information that they report that would be attached to that particular document does not match any information of mine ; the address on the document is one tha that I've never lived, the but signature is not mine and they never attached a drivers license, State ID, or any other picture form ID with matching signature or addresses to the document they sent through the CFPB portal. GM Financial, XXXX, and XXXX, as well as the CFPB are complicit in this fraudulent activity. It's a shame that the CFPB uses passive enforcement to regulate consumer protections as my credit file is harmed by the same entities that you are bound by law to regulate and enforce. The FCRA states that the burden of proof lies on the creditor in a consumer reporting challenge and yet GM Financial, XXXX, nor XXXX have not presented any justifiable evidence proving that this GM account belongs to me. They sent to me a filled out credit application and a billing statement. That's not concrete enough evidence proving their false claims.

Consumer Complaint: Background My Husband who is XXXX and I are both XXXX citizens. We down near XXXX, GA but we managed to drive on and get to a XXXX XXXX. On the XXXX of XX/XX/2021 in desperation we purchased a vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The Dealership in our opinion took advantage of us in the following way and engaged in unfair and deceptive business practices and committed consumer fraud. 1 ) They sold us the vehicle for {$51000.00} yet had the car advertised on their website for {$47000.00} 2 ) The dealership explained that we were entitled to a XXXX customer Loyalty discount of {$2000.00} and showed us a printout confirming the discount but never actually gave us a copy of this document. We later found on reviewing the paperwork that they never gave us this discount 3 ) They charged us a fee of {$500.00} for documentation and registration but never actually did the work. We had to rely on the a XXXX XXXX in Illinois to submit our license and title work. We also had to pay the Florida XXXX an additional {$220.00} for what believed was originally covered in the charge of {$500.00} mentioned above. 4 ) They charged us a Dealer service fee of {$890.00} on our contract/ Lease agreement but never provided us anything of value. The license and title work was never done and we subsequently found out that the vehicle had not had a predelivery service done. This was confirmed by the service department of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX after we encountered issues with the vehicle on route to XXXX from the Dealer. So other than selling us a vehicle there was no service they provided us that warranted the {$890.00} fee. 5 ) The dealer included a charge of {$690.00} for a tire and wheel protection package but never disclosed the charge to us at the time we signed the Lease agreement. To date we have never received a copy of the Tire protection contract detailing who warrants this protection and who we should call. This omission was not done in error. I would like the following : A ) A refund or credit of the difference between the advertised price and actual price charged to us. ( {$3800.00} ) B ) A credit for the license and title fees they charged. ( No License and title work was done. ) C ) A Credit of {$2000.00} for the customer loyalty rebate they told us we were entitled to but never actually passed on to us. D ) A refund of The service fee of {$890.00} ( No Service for value was ever received ). E ) A credit for the cancellation of the {$690.00} charge for a tire and wheel protection package that they never disclosed. F ) I would like your department to impose whatever fines that you feel appropriate as the Dealership has engaged in deceptive and unfair practices resulting in consumer fraud and have taken advantage of two very XXXX citizens who were in a desperate situation. G ) I want GM financial who have financed the lease to make sure that the necessary credits are passed as they have an obligation to make sure that the dealers they do business with conduct their business in an honest and fair way. We had tried to call and get some resolution from the dealer but they never gave us an explanation that made any sense.
