Consumer Complaint: I had to file for bankruptcy at the start of the year. While I was in the process of filing I made very clear to my Loan Originator ( GM Financial ) that my intent was to REAFFIRM the loan after the bankruptcy was discharged. At that time I was informed that I would not be able to do anything regarding reaffirmation until AFTER the loan was discharged. To be clear, this was information given to me DIRECTLY by the GM Financial Collections and Bankruptcy departments. After the bankruptcy was discharged, I attempted to resolve the loan with them and have it reinstated. At that point they informed me there was nothing they can do, despite being provided with the name and information of the individuals who informed me otherwise. Since the bankruptcy was discharged, I have had nothing but problems in dealing with GM Financial. Every single time I try to call in I get transferred multiple times, and most of the time I get transferred I get disconnected and have to call back. I can not access any information about what I owe on the vehicle, I can't see payment dates, payment amounts, I don't even know what I owe on the vehicle anymore. This is entirely unacceptable. I want my loan reaffirmed. If the loan can not be reaffirmed because it was discharged, I need a NEW loan based on the current payoff balance, with the same terms as before. I am NOT trying to get one over or cheat the system, I want to be able to interact with GM Financial and with my Auto Loan in the same manner as every other GM Financial customer. It is absolutely unacceptable that I have received multiple different explanations. It is absolutely unacceptable that every time I call in I have to be transferred multiple times. It is absolutely unacceptable that I have to call multiple times because I keep getting disconnected. I just want this fixed so I can monitor my loan account like a normal XXXX customer

Consumer Complaint: The issue here is the negative late payment placed on my credit report that dropped my credit score. The purchase of my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was financed through GM Financial. Documentary evidence will show that a financed charge was applied in connection with this consumer credit transaction as described in the Truth and Lending Act. Pursuant 15USC1605 states that the finance charges " shall be determined as the sum of all charges ''. GM Financial was payed in Full at the time of my signature, so there should be NO LATE payments. Gm Financial never notated my account was under dispute pursuant XXXX Responsibilities of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX reporting agencies. Gm Financial strategically refused to note my account under dispute.By not doing so they were able to report it delinquent, which then puts them in violation of 15USC1666a Regulation of credit reports ( a ) ( b ) ( c ) for not doing so. This is yet another extortionate attempt at collection on their financed lines of credit.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX my mother ( has authorization ) called GM Financial and asked what the remaining balance on my lease account was a I was looking to turn in or trade my suv. They gave her an amount that we felt was incorrect. They insisted it was correct so she asked that they send it to me in writing with this balance noted. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I rec 'd a payoff letter that had a different remaining balance ( {$340.00} more in remaining payts ). My mother called to explain and they suggested she fax them the paperwork/proof. She did this on XX/XX/XXXX. Still no response. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent the adjusted balance due in full with a copy of their letter as proof to backup my short payt. I know they rec 'd the letter along with the check when the check was cashed. After that they kept calling and sending letters. We kept faxing back their letters with the same explanations and proof backup and still nothing. Haven't heard anything for almost 2 yrs. I'm applying for a new mtg and my broker told me that GM had " written of bal. '' as uncollectable debt that affects my credit. I disputed this on my credit reports and today I noticed that GM re-opened my account/debt and my credit dropped XXXX XXXX! How can they re-open a debt that was incorrect to begin with??

Consumer Complaint: I was rear end last XX/XX/2021. There was a police report and its not my fault. I hired the XXXX XXXX to help me because the XXXX insurance at the beginning is ignoring my phone calls. I reported the accident to the GMfinanciaL WHO FINANCE THE XXXX XXXX XXXX also to the XXXX. At first the car is at my driveway waiting for the XXXX to evaluate it. They said they have to tow it to the repair shop. I have no choice except for them to take it and be evaluated. They said it is a totaled car, the representative of the XXXX XXXX I thought is helping me for me to be protected. They are the one supposed to be talking to the insurance ( XXXX ) company. It took 9 months before I learned that the GMfinancial reported me that my car was reprocessed. I told the GMfinancial that the XXXX XXXX paid them {$5000.00} at first and they still took the car and told me they are going to sell it parts by parts. I told them that car got XXXX insurance and they should pay the difference. XXXX XXXX is the contact representative of the XXXX XXXX and this is the very issue why I hired them for contingency arrangement. I contacted the GMfinancial addressing why put me in reprocessed status when the insurance company should be the one taking care of it plus the law office. Im the victim and still a victim. It disturbed my routine and I can not even qualify for a loan nor refinance because of this reprocession report that the GMfinancial did.
