Consumer Complaint: I do n't know if this is a complaint as much as it is a question concerning what rights I have as a consumer. My son starts college in XXXX and I have a large unexpected tuition payment due. My options are to apply for a loan ( which I do n't know that I will qualify for ) or have him apply for a loan, which I would rather not do because I do n't want him to begin his life in debt like I did. I never bounced back. Hence, my present financial situation. I have a car loan with GM Financial and called them, in good faith, on today XXXX XXXX, 2016. I called to allow myself plenty of time to work out an arrangement with them to have my XXXX payment moved to the end of the loan. I explained my situation and how extending the XXXX payment would greatly help me. I explained that this was an unexpected payment and that knowing how much has to be paid will give me time to prepare before his next tuition payment is due. I have paid GM Financial for XXXX months, never missing a payment, always making my payments early. All that I ask of them is to extend XXXX payment on this XXXX occasion. The GM service rep. put me on hold and came back saying that they could make payment arrangements with me but, that they could not extend the payment at this time because it would n't be wise to add so much interest to my account ( apparently interest continues accruing in spite of the fact that I am requesting a payment extension ). I explained that I am willing to make the sacrifice of the interest considering that I am already paying a lot of interest on this vehicle so, $ XXXX more would n't make much of a difference. The rep said that they could make payment arrangements with me since there is so much time before the payment is due. I explained that if I had money to make payment arrangements then, that is what I would have requested. I know how much income I have and what I will be able to manage before the end of XXXX. Besides, I explained, payment arrangements would also incur the same interest fees being added to my loan. I asked to speak to a supervisor who explained that GM was not willing to make an extension " on this account '' at this time. Granted, I do have poor credit due to taking on this loan and helping out a friend who is waiting for social security XXXX payments. However, my record with GM is clean. I am paying $ XXXX always on time. At the end of this loan, I will have paid over {$45000.00} for a {$25000.00} car. I know that it sounds crazy but, unfortunately, that is the agreement which I signed at the time. My question is what are my rights as a consumer. If GM does payment extensions and my payment history with them is excellent, can they refuse an extension on my account? What are my options here?

Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the dates below : 30 days past due as of XXXX 2016 I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me or the payments were misapplied. I do ask in light of the good standing relationship we have that you remove these lates from my credit report. I do not believe it is accurate and would rather not have to spend more time than necessary for both of us to resolve this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I should have walked away when processing the loan. In order to be financed, I was required to purchase an expensive extended warranty that I did not want, and expressed I did not want. Then, somehow XXXX gained access to my personal information in the loan application and started calling my employer trying to sell me service ( got me in a lot of trouble at work ). I thought that was private information. In addition to the extremely high interest rate ( which was my fault for agreeing to-I understand that ), if you are late, they hit you with incredibly high fees that can exceed your actual payment. When my husband lost his job, I fell behind on my payments. They called me XXXX a day, even after making payment arrangements. I had to request they contact me by email or mail, and not by phone because they were harassing me. They did not like that. Even now, when I call, they do n't want to talk until I give them a number to call me on. Then, without warning or notice or anything, they repossessed my vehicle when it was only a month past due. Stay far far away from this scam of a company. It 's like making a deal with the XXXX himself.
