Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the dates below XX/XX/2018 30 days late. I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I check my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: My husband is currently XXXX. We turned in his XXXX XXXX lease. We did not release because of his XXXX. GM Financial is now claiming we must pay {$700.00} in lease disposition fees. I explained my husband is XXXX and asked if there was any coverage under the service members relief act. I was told there was not, I need to release a vehicle. It's physically impossible for me to drive two cars at once. I am looking for assistance in understanding the relief act and holding companies responsible for such actions as this. My husband puts his life on the line every day for our country and all GM Financial cares about is {$700.00}. We did plan on releasing when he returns home, so I asked if we could postpone charges as we did plan on a new vehicle when he got home. Any help would be greatly appreciated. GM Financial account number is XXXX.

In XXXX, GM financial reported to XXXX that the account was current by reporting a current payment which was fraudulent. Consumer Complaint: Parties involved, GM Finanacial ( GMF ), XXXX XXXX, myself I leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I made ALL of my payments on time through XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX, the final month, I decided to PURCHASE the vehicle per the terms of my agreement. I contacted XXXX XXXX, ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX XXXX ) to help process the lease closeout and purchase. They contacted GMF to obtain all the close-out information. On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased the car. I received a letter shortly thereafter from GMFinancial stating that as of XX/XX/XXXX " the above-referenced vehicle was accepted as a LEASE RETURN. '' No this was not right, it was an end of lease purchase, but I didn't think anything of it at the time. I received a NYS Title dated XX/XX/XXXX with all liens removed. I moved shortly thereafter from my address in XXXX NY to XXXX, NY. I received a phone call from GMF on XX/XX/XXXX looking to collect a bill for {$530.00} for which I know nothing about. The agent on the phone told me they were disposition fees and had not received payment. I told her she needed to collect those fees from XXXX XXXX. She stated that I was the leaseholder and I was responsible for payment. ( Hindsight, I assume now she believed that because of the terms of the contract for a lease RETURN. ) She emailed me a copy on XX/XX/XXXX, which was dated XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX months after my purchase ) and mailed it to my old address ( which did not forward to my new location -that is a PO issue ) I later found out that GM Financial reported this bill as 30 days past due on the credit report for the month of XXXX. I contacted XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, the same day I spoke with the GMF representative. I sent them a copy of the bill, and THEY paid it. This was not my bill to pay and as such should not be recorded as delinquent on my credit. I am not sure why GMF listed my car as a return, or why the fees were not processed with XXXX directly and why the fees were processed so late. I tried contacting GMF directly, however, the complaint portal states my complaint can not be submitted and to contact Customer Care. When I called Customer Care, they said to use the portal for all issues and hung up. I understand COVID has caused some delays, but I am hoping for a resolution soon. I ask that you investigate this issue, and have GMF remove the credit bureau XX/XX/XXXX late payment code. The reporting agency is the only one who can remove this incident from my record. I am asking that you correct it so that I am not facing 7 years of a credit ding for something that was not my fault. I appreciate your help with this matter and look forward to hearing from you.

Consumer Complaint: I have tried contacting GM Financial several times in order to have this debt validated which I have yet to receive anything and also removed from my credit report and it is still being reported. I have sent several certified mailings to the company on several occasions XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX and I still have not received anything. At this point it has gotten a little ridiculous because this debt dates back to XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Good Afternoon, I have been facing an ongoing issue with Credit Reporting and accuracy with GM Financial. I had my car paid buy the beginning of the year XXXX. Showed XXXX balance. I called again in XXXX because this was not showing on my Credit, nor was I able to pursue my Title. For a young man this was the top of all my financial endeavors to clear, acquire and go on to better things, as we know how much this can solidify credit scores. As XXXX approaches, I have called GM numerous times to get an update for my Credit Bureau. Still no answer on this topic, all they would tell me is that " Notes were added to my account and an Supervisor will review and reach out. This was not followed through. This all as been increasingly hard to communicate over the past years. ( Even before the troubles started. ) I have not been late, also when I continued to inquire regarding this whole ordeal They were still reporting during these times of COVID. But at the same time GM could not give me details when I have called with this issue. Reps have passed me through different departments all stating they do not have access to this information. I was again promised an investigation and a call back from a supervisor. No word yet!! This is incredibly frustrating while trying to move forward in life. As you know how much a credit score can build you or damage you. XXXX approaches and I receive an email for late payment reporting by GM. I call GM, demanding a supervisor and supervisor states I have an unsettled amount. We talk this through, fully not understanding how this just appeared, however I do not agree with this tactic. I stated " I have paid off my car, showed XXXX balance, two months pass and I am reported for late payment, why is that?? '' The Supervisor could not answer and transfer me to a different department because of lack of information. New Rep further explains this is a Principal balance. I had to fight to get an answer to why my principal was not shown in my account on the app/web before this. They have stated issues in their system. ( This was stated by more than one rep on different occasions. ) The late payment charge which was not accurate, since my payments were set up automatically, any indication of problems. I would have been notified through my bank and GM. There were no notifications during this time. If I have a balance, I am fine with payment. But the surprise and system showing me past due is inaccurate and crippling! I explain I have not missed a payment, She compliments me and thanks me for being a customer for the time and follows that up with. " She does not know what has happened for that to take place. '' I further this conversation, since this is the most help/answers I have got from GM. She also states she will inquire about this to a higher level and a supervisor would call me back within 24 hours to review my case " this is the third time by a different rep, this has been promised ''. She also stated she would inquire to all payments that were reported late be removed for she has not that power and GM would launch a full investigation. While reviewing my account, reviewing all phone calls. I have yet to hear back. That has been over 45 days! In addition to this, I have been trying to take the consumer route by disputing these records. I have been working with a credit repair company for sometime. These frustrating times have that company baffled. No response to there or side or me the customer have been communicated. Amazingly, I was able to remove one of those late payment remarks from earlier this year, but others are still attached. This makes no sense to me, this tells me something is happening behind the scenes. They have not updated my credit with the three main Credit Bureaus. I can not get a straight answer from the company. I get transferred from rep to rep. This is now affecting other parts of my financial life. To this point : I have done research on GM and have found I am not alone in this area, but that also does not make me feel any better to know I am not the only one currently undergoing hardships with this company, but does raise my concerns to get this cleared up. In that research I have come across this company and site. I am thankful someone can step in and clear things up. That way these companies can not bully around their customers with lagging information and inaccurate protocols! Regards

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with 3 different associates at GM Financial, then spoke with a manager. They informed me that they have not been reporting to the credit bureau 's since XX/XX/2020, when Covid hit and they told me even today XX/XX/2020 when I spoke to the manager that they still are not reporting. I assured them that someone is because it shows up on, my report and delinquent past 30 days for both XXXX and XX/XX/2020 with 3 different credit bureau 's. I am in the process of trying to adjust my finances and this is affecting my score a lot. They told me that they could not call the credit bureau 's to fix the problem. Bottom line I need it to reflect on my credit report that I am not delinquent with GM Financial and am in good standing. I have attached supporting documents as well.
