Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem while selling or giving up the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I purchased on XX/XX/20 and returned on XX/XX/20. They dated my purchase papers for XX/XX/20, I picked up the check from my credit union on XX/XX/20 but ended up using their bank, but seen it was never nowhere for me to date the contract, I didnt really pay attention to. As stated, I returned the car the very next day and realized they ran my credit report XX/XX/20. They didn't have permission to do so for I came with a check. They dated my contract for XX/XX/20, three-das prior to me receiving the vehicle and then pushed the finance through XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/20 XXXX days after the vehicle was returned. My credit report reflects that my credit was pulled on XX/XX/20 XXXX now sending me invoices stating I have a payment due and as of today, I still don't have the vehicle in my possession. The car is still at XXXX XXXX in XXXX MD.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finished
Consumer Complaint: I returned a leased vehicle back in XXXX ( it was actually the same day XXXX XXXX died thats why its so vivid for me ) Recently I attempted to lease a new vehicle only to find my perfect XXXX credit score had dropped into the 600s due to some phantom {$11.00} balance on the closed account that has killed my credit score. GM financial was of little help since they never notified me, emailed, sent a statement or anything of the sort. I would have never found out otherwise. When I called them eventually they said they would submit a letter on my behalf and reverse it. I see nothing done!!

Consumer Complaint: Americredit / GM Financial is preventing me from purchasing a home for my family. During the first quarter of this year, Covid-19 became a global and national pandemic. Fearful of major income loss, I communicated with all creditors to prevent any future financial / credit issues. Being that I was in good standing and current with my auto lender GM Financial, they offered me forbearance " arrangement '' of the loan. I made a large payment of {$1700.00} in XX/XX/2020 when my forbearance ended ( even though I was offered an extension by GM Financial ), another payment was made in XX/XX/2020 for {$3000.00} following me paying off the full balance of the vehicle in XX/XX/2020. GM Financial is damaging my good name and character by inaccurately reporting late payments, inaccurately reporting the account balance, inaccurately reporting the loan term incompletely reporting date of last activity to the three major credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ). Section 623 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) requires furnishers to provide accurate information to the ( CRA 's ) & correct any identified issues when aware of them. Section 4021 of the Cares act also mandates on how to properly report accounts in forbearance during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I have reached out multiple times to GM Financial and spoke with multiple supervisors and departments in order to correct this errors. I was assured that the late payments would be corrected and that I would also receive confirmation by mail, as of XX/XX/2020 there has been no resolution or correction. The balance reflected on my credit reports is affecting my debt to income as well as erroneous late payments are affecting my ability to obtain a mortgage. I have no other option but to reach out for assistance since GM Financial is in willful and negligent noncompliance with the FCRA.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have had an ongoing issue with GM Financial during COVID about reporting erroneous information to the credit bureau ( s ) since they are aware of this disaster and GM told me they would not be reporting payments not received or late. Due to COVID 19 my employment has been shut down and our office closed since XX/XX/2020. However, my payment was current until this month whereby I was ran off the road in XX/XX/2020 and suffered injuries and totaled my vehicle due to an 18 wheeler hitting us and not stopping on the highway. GM was notified and an inquiry was made to them by my insurance company for a payoff amount. In addition, my adjuster contacted them on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX to get a correct statement on tax and sales of the vehicle. I paid this fee and my insurance company in the settlement had the monies going to GM. Therefore, GM has not received the payoff but were notified and has been updated again last week. GM ( AGAIN ) reported a late 30 day payment to XXXX and maybe XXXX and XXXX as well ( I will have to check ). They should not have, just like they should not have a couple of months ago. I want this information removed immediately from all bureaus and its impacting my credit score again and this information is not reported correctly by FDCPA standards.
