Consumer Complaint: I have a checking account and a savings account with Discover Bank. I tried to add an external account, and I was locked out of the online banking ... .twice. When I called to get assistance the second time, I was transferred to the security department, and they froze my account for no valid reason. My phone is disconnected, which I explained to them REPEATEDLY, so they couldn't verify me via text. They requested that I upload proof of identity, and said it would take 48 hours. I did what they requested, and uploaded my passport, as well as a copy of my driver 's license front and back, and even a letter from them clearly showing that it is me. It has now been 49 hours. They claim that they can not see my documents yet in their system, even though I received an email confirmation from them on XX/XX/22, which said that the uploads were done successfully. I am a single mother, and I could not even do our laundry this weekend because Discover is holding my money hostage. I need to pay my bills! Including paying for an Extended Stay, and my direct deposit goes to this card, so I need access to MY OWN MONEY! I am appalled at the lack of business intelligence and also the unfair business practices. This is not acceptable! And I want a resolution immediately! I have gone through their verification process from the hotel phone about 10-15 times. No one is doing anything to resolve this matter. They are not following their own protocol. I demand access to my accounts!

Consumer Complaint: I received a very disturbing response from the executive team stating that they did what was necessary as to the fraud results when everything was withdrawn so I am not sure why they are sticking to these so-called fraud there is no fraud everything was withdrawn and the institutions they received money from needs to be credited back which is documented and attached here. This is my previous message to them hopefully they read it and understand it this time .I XXXX XXXX XXXX into my discover card for an inquiry about if my son in law who is/was my managed user went through id-theft and paid the debt from XXXX XXXXXXXX with a B/T who would be responsible to write or pay it off. Generically, I answered my own question and told them that it was just a inquiry and not to dispute anything. However, the agent decided to dispute 12 B/T and got 2 of my son in laws cards closed because they thought we disputed it even though we wrote a letter and signed it with our ids and statements stating these are valid and not to take further action, with that said they didnt listen and to this day months later when we did the B/T in XXXX and they decided to dispute it on there own accord after my inquiry we were not able to have it undone despite the letters stating we withdrew all of the disputes and they would return the money to the proper institutions. This was never done to this day they keep saying we owe them money and the institution they took it from at the same time without anyones consent to dispute the claims. We called countless times and talked and emailed executives with no luck about this card and we are suffering massive credit harm from what they did and massive balances on these cards that were paid off. My son in law runs a business and cant produce what he needs because both of our credits were destroyed by there negligence and they are refusing to return the money and give us a letter of bank error so we could fix our credit. Everytime I call in there is no answers and they will not undo the disputes and send random letters such as now Im not responsible for the debt one week to being held responsible to still having to pay both institutions and everyone is suffering my wife is XXXX on XXXX and I can not downsize my home because my credit has been ruined and they will not fix it or respond no matter what I do or send them. I have documentation and letters of this confusing mess when all that had to be down was withdrawn and return the money to all institutions. Discover credit card has ruined my life and my son in laws with no remorse. We called every week for the past 2months and are fed up and need help

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/22 XXXX transfer posted for XXXX. Called the company the payment was supposed to go tothey received nothing. I called Discover and realized it was sent to the wrong account. They filed a dispute. I resubmitted the balance transfer, triple checking that all information is correct. I called the company that was supposed to receive the payment againthey had received nothing. I called Discover backsent to the wrong account again. Now they wont file a dispute for a certain amount of time even though they clearly see its going to the wrong account. And no one can answer why they keep sending it to the wrong account.

This was my first time applying for a credit card ( I just got my SSN ) and my credit card application was supported. And after that, I also signed Form 4506-C, but on XX/XX/2022, I was notified that my account was closed because Discover could not verify my personal information. I can guarantee that I filled in the correct information, but my card is only kept for two weeks, which will seriously affect my record as a credit novice, and it may be difficult for me to apply for this credit card again.I don't think it's my fault, and Discover damaged my credit history.

After waiting for a couple more days, I first contacted XXXX XXXX which did not help at all so I opened a dispute on my Discover credit card on XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, Discover resolved the the dispute in favor of XXXX based on the fact that XXXX showed the item as delivered. I simultaneously filed a claim with XXXX based on advice I got from discover customer support. XXXX could not locate the package and marked it as lost. Discover is still refusing to reconsider the dispute regardless of the fact that I never received my item.

I waited 2 weeks and called them and they said theyd give me a call back. They never did so I called again and spoke to a XXXX XXXX XXXX and they told me I couldnt get my money back to the shipment again because the tracking number said delivered. I checked with my XXXX office and neighbors and couldnt find it. No doorbell was rang or any signature asked for on an order worth almost XXXX XXXX So I called my credit card company and disputed the charge and they credited the amount back on the XXXX of XXXX for XXXX XXXX After explaining the whole situation about how it said deliverered but I had not revived it. But then on XX/XX/XXXX ny credit card company ( discover ) recharged me again and went back on the credit and when I called to ask they said the company showed them the tracking number had said delivered so they had to Honour the merchant. I tried explaining my side and how I even called the XXXX and went to my XXXX office but had no luck. My credit card company and XXXX are making me pay the XXXX $ for something that I did not receive or sign for.
