Consumer Complaint: Discover card sent me an email about four or five months ago saying that if I sign up for automatic payment and after two automatic payments are processed from my checking account that I would get a {$40.00} statement credit. There has already been three automatic payments and has already been three months and I still have not seen the credit and when I call customer service they say they have no idea what Im talking about.

Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX called into my discover card for an inquiry about if my son in law who is/was my managed user went through id-theft and paid the debt from XXXX XXXXXXXX with a XXXX who would be responsible to write or pay it off. Generically, I answered my own question and told them that it was just a inquiry and not to dispute anything. However, the agent decided to dispute XXXX XXXX and got 2 of my son in laws cards closed because they thought we disputed it even though we wrote a letter and signed it with our ids and statements stating these are valid and not to take further action, with that said they didnt listen and to this day months later when we did the XXXX in XXXX and they decided to dispute it on there own accord after my inquiry we were not able to have it undone despite the letters stating we withdrew all of the disputes and they would return the money to the proper institutions. This was never done to this day they keep saying we owe them money and the institution they took it from at the same time without anyones consent to dispute the claims. We called countless times and talked and emailed executives with no luck about this card and we are suffering massive credit harm from what they did and massive balances on these cards that were paid off. My son in law runs a business and cant produce what he needs because both of our credits were destroyed by there negligence and they are refusing to return the money and give us a letter of bank error so we could fix our credit. Everytime I call in there is no answers and they will not undo the disputes and send random letters such as now Im not responsible for the debt one week to being held responsible to still having to pay both institutions and everyone is suffering my wife is XXXX on XXXX and I can not downsize my home because my credit has been ruined and they will not fix it or respond no matter what I do or send them. I have documentation and letters of this confusing mess when all that had to be down was withdrawn and return the money to all institutions. Discover credit card has ruined my life and my son in laws with no remorse. We called every week for the past 2months and are fed up and need help

Consumer Complaint: Discover Card offers 1 year no interest witn a rewards match, then cancels your card around 11 months when the balance is full. Saddling you w a high interest debt, no rewards points and no credit line : as well as credit damage. The amount of people experiencing this issue mixed with the financial benefit of cancelling match rewards and locking people into a high interest that discover has, and the sheer number of victims on online forums, I believe discover is engaging in this practice with predatory intent. Additionally they did not disclose the cash over purchase interest rates to me. I would like for my account to be reinstated and reported as such to bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: I have a dispute with a service from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX I disputed it with Discover in a timely manner. Discover has gone back and forth on this for several months, and now they say they have information it is a proper charge. I have not received any of the documentation, and also, Regulation E requires disputes to be resolved within two billing cycles. The 2nd billing cycle would have expired on XX/XX/XXXX, and Discover has made this decision on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: From XX/XX/2022 - XX/XX/2022 DISCOVER has been in violation of federal laws by adding late payments on an unexplained adverse action of the account. DISCOVER closed the account and then begin reporting late payments which is a violation OF FCRA. ALL balances and late payments that has been reported are inaccurate information. Also, they have recently stated that the account is 120 days late but is also reporting the account as 150 days late which is also incomplete and inaccurate information. I have sent several notices to DISCOVER regarding the inaccuracies of the account, but they have yet to resolve the issue and continues to report damaging information on my credit report causing me to be unable to obtain credit.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I mailed a debt validation and cease and desist letter through certified mail. Pervious to the debt validation and cease and desist letter, I requested for the agreement XX/XX/2022 but instead Discover attempted to collect payment on alleged debt as well as contact information. Instead of being connected to a so called team who can send my agreement the conversation was closed. Discover also discover provided two different numbers for me to contact to request the agreement but instead it was a number of an automated voice attempt to collect payment. Under federal law they are required to send the agreement upon request. Below I will attach the Debt Validation and Cease and Desist Mailed on XX/XX/2022.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. I recently learned that my personal information was used to make fraudulent charges on my credit card. Ive made several phone calls & sent several letters, and emails asking for this account to be removed off my credit as it is about {$450.00} worth of fraudulent charges. This account has been hindering me and causing emotional distress for almost 3 years and preventing me from purchasing a home. I am being punished for something I didnt do. Ive even noticed XXXX listed this account as a charge off and tax write off.
