Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022 I purchased a computer device for {$5300.00} using my Discover credit card. The computer arrived defective, so the seller promised to fix it. I sent it back to them to fix and then the seller claimed they never received the money from Discover. As a result I don't have the computer and Discover still charged me this amount plus a bunch of late fees. I have been disputing this with them since XXXX this year. Now they ruined my credit score and I can't buy a house. Please, help ASAP. I never had in the past, nor have any debt now, my credit score is supposed to be perfect. I have all the proof and documentation, please, let me know if you want to see it.

Under 15USC-1666B a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under a consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: On Saturday XX/XX/2022 I completed on online application for a personal loan for {$13000.00} from Discover Personal Loans. From my application, I received an email from Discover saying I may be approved for a loan and prompting me to call and speak to one of their loan specialists to complete the process. I called Discover at XXXX and spoke to a young man who asked for further information, such as verifying the name of my employer and my banking account numbers. He indicated that I was approved for a loan through Discover, would be receiving a welcome packet in the mail with more information, he agreed to make a note to have my loan repayment date moved by one day. He said the last step in the process was to get verification of my employer, simply by uploading my pay stubs to an online portal. After ending my call with him, I received this email and followed the steps to upload my employment verification documents uploaded. However, after typing in my reference number provided in the email, I was not directed to a portal to upload documents. Instead, a letter from Discover was displayed indicating they would not be moving forward with my loan at this time due to being " unable to verify credit information ''. I was very confused at this point. Having just been told 10 minutes prior that I was approved. I called Discover again and spoke with a woman. She looked up my reference number and confirmed that I had been denied for the personal loan. I explained my confusion, since I had just spoken with someone who had told me I was approved and had taken down my banking information. She said she wasn't sure why that had happened and assured me I was not approved for the loan. She was very professional, but was definitely more concerned with making sure I knew I was denied than the fact that someone had asked for my banking information and told me I was approved in error. I would not have given my bank account numbers to someone over the phone if I hadn't been assured that I was approved for a loan and it was necessary information.

I have also tried to work with these companies myself to come to some sort of resolution to no avail! These things are interfering with my ability to move forward and its really frustrating! Consumer Complaint: I was Disputing a charge on my card that was charged prematurely. I was charged {$5.00} and told if I cancelled within 30 days I would not be charged further. They charged the next fee of {$46.00} the same day. I have been explaining this to My credit card Company. but are failing to understand the situation, that the second charge was charged prematurely. I sent then the charging companies policy and my proof of cancelation according to that policy. I never disputed the {$5.00} as that is legitimate.

Without providing me any notification, Discover placed a hold on the payment despite posting the payment and the funds having been withdrawn from my checking account. The representative informed me that there is an 8-day hold on the payment to " investigate '' the payment even though they never notified me nor contacted me about any potential issues with the payment or any explanation as to why this payment was placed on hold and being investigated. As of XX/XX/2022 - much longer than the " 8 days '' promised, Discover still has not posted the payment or completed whatever investigation they are conducting. I have contacted Discover multiple times and they refuse to provide me with any information as to the reason for this investigation into my payment and they continue to refuse to fully post the payment and make my funds available.

They sent me a letter confirming our agreement and that Discover will accept {$3000.00} as a settlement. As promised, I sent all money orders and I wrote on all money orders Endorsement of this check constitutes payment in full. You agree to delete account within 30 days from my credit report. They cashed all checks on XX/XX/2022 and never deleted the account and continued since then to report it on my credit report. This is a breach of contract rights. Also, Discover breached the agreement by still reporting to the credit bureaus that I still owe {$7100.00} while we agreed on the {$3000.00}. They sent me a letter that I owe XXXX XXXX. Consumer Complaint: Around XXXX XXXX I made a payment to XXXX for a hot water heater that they replaced at my home. The charge was {$950.00}. This balance was given to me by this company and my warranty company XXXX XXXX. A few days later they charged me {$500.00} without my permission. When I called them they said I owed this additional amount. I advised them they never told me this. They just ran my card without my knowledge or consent. I then called XXXX XXXX and they told me that the additional charge was given later by airfast. My issue is I did not given them permission. I disputed this with Discover and it was reversed for review. Discover sent me a letter saying that they were going to apply the balance back because XXXX would reverse the charge. I spoke with Discover on XX/XX/2022 and the woman told me that was in error. I think XXXX assumed that since Im XXXX they could get over on me. Its wrong.
