Issue: Other service problem
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I received a notice from Discover Bank that XXXX was no longer available to me because I enrolled in the service after XXXX. I had transfers in progress at that time which did not complete due to this action. Subsequently I opened a new bank account at a XXXXXXXX XXXX and attempted to enroll in XXXX. I received an error message. I contacted Discover Bank to ask that they unenroll me from XXXX, which they said they had done. I tried to enroll in XXXX again via XXXX and received the same error as before. I asked XXXX to look into the issue, and they said a ticket was opened but there has been no response. I spoke with Discover Bank a few times and they would not tell me why XXXX was made unavailable or when it would be available again. I have communicated with others on XXXX and XXXX who have similar issues. XXXX ( XXXX ) I received a response from XXXX via XXXX that I should call their customer service phone number and spoke with someone who told me my phone number and email address were placed on a restricted list. They will not tell me why I was placed on the restricted list or how I was placed on the list and indicated that there isn't a way to get off the restricted list. I am not aware of any issues with transactions on my accounts or any fraudulent activity. I did speak with someone in the executive offices at Discover Bank who alluded to Discover notifying XXXX that a large number of accounts were fraudulent, and that this may have been in error. I would like to be able to use the XXXX service again but am unable to do so due to being placed on the restricted list. So far as I know I have not used the XXXX service in a way which would violate the terms of service or any regulations. I believe that there are many others in a similar situation and that this is due to an overzealous attempt to prevent fraud, but it has restricted my ability to send and receive money from friends and family. I request assistance in resolving this issue.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, on XXXX and XXXX these companies have reported that my paments were late. However based on further review I have pulled my bank statements and it shows that my payments to the mentioned companies have been made on time. The payments made to discover bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX were all made on time and debited from my account so there is no reason why these accounts should be reported as late. Thanks

Consumer Complaint: I received an email and a phone call from Discover asking me to give them digital access to my IRS Profile. The rep explained that my account had been flagged for verification and if I did not allow access to my IRS Profile to Discover they were going to close my account immediately. I currently have an outstanding balance with them and I am just now in a position to start paying payment to them, I lost my husband due to XXXX XXXX which started in XXXX of this year to XXXX. Also, the card I have is a special design card in RED BLACK and GREEN which signifies XXXX XXXX I honestly believe that DISCOVER is targeting XXXX XXXX bullying them for their information to either sell them more services or take them away, why else go for my IRS Profile. My IRS Profile was not required for approval of the card, why now? I have not indicated any fraud on my account. I need answers because now they are going to close my account sell it to a XXXX company for collection and I will end up paying double what I owe and will never get justification for paying this bill off with fair reporting to my credit bureau account.

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan on my credit report and one that they keep trying to charge me for when I paid off all my loans in XXXX of XXXX When I took these I asked them if these are all the loans on mine and my co-signers account and they confirmed it was. Now currently they are saying I have one loan still on my account. But it doesnt appear on my co-signers account and at the time I was an unemployed college student with a low credit I would have never been approved for a XXXX dollar loan with out the co-signer. They keep harassing me and my co-signer. We refinance all the loans in XXXX of XXXX back when interest rates were low. But now with them high its just unacceptable. Ive tried to resolve this with the company but they are hostile and hard to work with
