Subissue: Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Consumer Complaint: I was fasley misled into a loan contract on XX/XX/ by credit acceptance and car XXXX auto dealer. I was told by the car dealer as well as a representative from credit acceptance that I had a additional XXXX mile warranty coverage after the dealer warranty expires. I called today to find out that isn't true. I was told today by a credit acceptance rep that the warranty expires afer XXXX miles or 24 months whichever comes first. I was never told this. I was told I had a additional XXXX miles coverage by both credit acceptance and the dealer. Which is why i agreed. I previously had transmission issues with my last car and this additional coverage would be great to have. I was given paperwork from credit acceptance stating my warranty will begin at XXXX miles. Being told its nothing they can do about it is disheartening. My interest rate is high at 22.99 %, I paid almost 2 times over the original price of my car. I was asked if i wanted to change my pmt date. I agreed and then was being charged late fees due to not paying on original loan date. Even though my autopay was set up for the XXXX of each month. I found out this recently. I paid my car note and I received a repossession letter. Credit acceptance has put me in a real financial bind. The contract was not explained properly and hyped. I feel taken advantage of.
