I have a payment arrangement made with said company after the repossession fees were paid off. All of the payments per the payment arrangement have been made on time or early since XXXX of XXXX of XXXX. On my credit report Credit Acceptance Corportation has reported no payments have been made towards this loan since XXXX of XXXX, which is incorrect as payments have been made on time or early since XX/XX/XXXX. I have contacted said company and disputed this on my credit report multiple times, with no resolution offered. States I have the right to privacy 15usc1681 section 604a section 2 it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account with out my written consent .Under 15usc166b a creditor may not treat a payment on an open consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. I have spoke with several representatives at this company last representative we set up an agreement I have been following .I was told all late payments would be removed and they have not .Most of the late payments have came from the covid when it hit.

Consumer Complaint: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORPORATION has been committing usury on my loan and in fact they also violated my SMCRA. So, I have a 22.99 % interest rate with them have since I signed in XXXX. I am a veteran first and foremost, and at the time was protected by the Service member 's civil relief act. They didn't acknowledge that and they took advantage of me, my interest rates was supposed to be capped at 6 % while I served on XXXX XXXX and they did not do that. Instead I didn't even know what my interest rate was until XXXX as I wasn't knowledgeable on anything I just needed and wanted a car being that I needed to get around as a XXXX. the 2nd red flag is they are committing usury, and are very aware of it, I spoke with them about it and it wasn't a good conversation. I bought the car in Louisiana, and the interest cap is and was at the time 12 % APR, yet I still have a 22.99 % APR. I spoke with a manager at the companyon XX/XX/XXXX who was very rude and kind of upset that I brought up the legalities of the situation. To sum up our conversation he literally told me to take them to court. He and other representatives I spoke to seemed to not care at all about the corp. wrong doings.They offered no resolution for the situation not even trying to fix it now, the manager was only worried about a payment. So for me, a United States Veteran who answered the call, served so they can even have the right to be a corp. was taken advantage of by this company. They didn't follow state guidelines and laws or even the Federal Act that was put in place to protect service members they took advantage of my ignorance with financing a car. It's not fair and not right. I really hope the government intervenes and stops them, because if they aren't stopped so many more citizens will fall victim to their cruel tactics. Consumer Complaint: I was ripped off is what happened. In 2014 I needed a car. Found a place that works with you they go thru credit acceptance. It was a lemon had nothing but problems with the car. Contacted the dealer multiple times to make it right. And he refused to. I called credit acceptance to complain. They said too bad I didnt call before the first 30 days were up that I signed contract cause I couldve returned car without being held responsible for paying for the car. But because it was after 30 days I still had to pay for it. Nobody tells you that in the first place. I felt like I had no choice so i paid for the repairs. I kept paying payments then few months later or so the transmission went. I was so fed up I called credit acceptance and told them to come get the car. I was surrendering it. They told me they would sell car at auction and I would have to pay remaining balance. months later I was finally sent a letter saying they sold the car for {$1.00} and I owed them approximately {$3600.00} I wasnt paying that much for a lemon. I had already pd thousands towards it between payments and repairs. They send it to collections and this lawyer was gon na submit paperwork to garnish my wages so I agreed to start paying. I didnt pay much but tough times happened and couldnt pay anymore. Then I get a letter from local sheriffs department saying they are involved and if I dont pay they were garnishing my wages. So I paid little more. Again I couldnt keep up. Today I was contacted by HR that the sheriff dept did place a wage garnishment against me, gon na start taking 10 % every 2 weeks starting next week. I feel so disgusted I was ripped off from the beginning. Shame on credit acceptance for completely taking advantage of people who thought it was legit and not making it right. I cant afford what theyre doing to me. how do I get thru this?
