Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/18 I found a car online I wanted to buy. I did the credit application online and was approved for the 2015 XX/XX/XXXX XXXX for {$19000.00} So I drove 2 hours to XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXXin XXXX, NY. XXXX asked me to refill out the loan paperwork. He said I was not approved. XXXX said he would try other loan companies. Hour later said he couldnt get me a loan for the car I wanted but said if I got a cheaper car I could get approved. He had a XXXX XXXX with XXXX for {$14000.00}. With {$3100.00} down payment He said just get this car for now and trade it in in 6 months. 3 hours later I said okay. We get to the finance managers office and i sign paperwork for the amount and then he says I have to do the finance online. He sits in front of the computer and is scrolling and explaining. He says I have to get the {$3000.00} extended warranty or I cant get the loan. I said okay. Finally He says okay done Ill get the paperwork copies and bring them out to you. XXXX puts them in the glove box. 5 months later Im ready to trade the car in and I look at the paperwork it says I owe {$10000.00} more than the sale price. It said I bought the car for over {$21000.00}. Ive called for months trying to get them to fix it but they wont. The car wasnt worth {$21000.00} when I bought it. They committed fraud and violated the truth in lending act. The payments are hurting my family and ability to buy a home. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/2019 I went online Credit Acceptance Corp to obtain my payoff amount and received an online quote of {$15000.00}. On the website it shows different ways that I can use cash to pay. I elected to use XXXX, I went to the nearest XXXX station was tried to send the whole balance of {$15000.00} and customer service rep told me that I couldnt send that much to them they had a cap amount. I sent {$5000.00} due to that being the cap amount. That evening at XXXX I contacted Credit Acceptance and explained to the customer rep that I was trying to pay it all off and that I could only send {$5000.00} she told me to wait an hour and try again. I went back to XXXX and was informed that I had reach the limit for the day and that I had to wait not 1 hour that credit acceptance told me but 24 hours. OnXX/XX/2019 I went online again and got another payoff quote showing the {$10000.00}. Since it hadnt been 24 hours that I used XXXX Credit Acceptance Corp had XXXX XXXX as an option and I elected to use them. I sent another {$5000.00} to them at XXXX. On XX/XX/2019 I went back on line and did another online payoff quote showing {$5600.00} I again elected to use XXXX XXXX and sent another {$5000.00} to them. After this payment I was showing a payoff balance of {$680.00}. On XX/XX/2019 I went online to get another payoff quote and it was showing {$980.00} a total of {$290.00} difference. I called Credit Acceptance and noone could explain how I accured {$290.00} in less than 24 hours. Both the customer rep and the manager kept saying that the computer calulates the interest. I asked what day their interest due dates fall on beginning or end of month and the manager told me daily. But couldnt explain how from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I accured {$290.00} in interested. I asked to speak to another manager when she stated that it could take 3 business days for a manager to call me back. I tried to explain to the manager that I was trying to pay it off since XX/XX/XXXX and they were aware of this but failed to educate me that they only allow a borrow to send {$5000.00} at a time using the different payee sources they have listed on their website. I requested that they adjust my balance to the {$680.00} because that is what was showing on XX/XX/2019 and that they knew on XX/XX/2019 that I was trying to pay the complete balance off. I requested that they show me how the {$290.00} interest was calulated on my account in less than 24 hours and the manager said she cant show me that. I explained that I had my screen shots of where it stated from XX/XX/2019 to XX/XX/2019 what my balance was and they refused to adjust it to the remaining {$680.00}. I have since paid the {$990.00} and closed my account out with them but I request that I be reimburshed for the {$290.00} On XX/XX/19 payoff quote was {$15000.00} On XX/XX/19 payoff quote was {$15000.00} a difference of XXXX in 24 hours On XX/XX/19 payoff quote was {$15000.00} a difference of XXXX in a 4 day time period. On XX/XX/19 they told me my pay off quote would be {$15000.00} a difference of {$290.00} in a 24 hour period and noone could explain to me how we went from accuring XXXX to XXXX cents a day to {$290.00} in 24 hours

Consumer Complaint: My wife applied for a car loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX and needed a co-signer which I agreed to do. However, the dealer put this loan in my name which I did not authorize. I didn't sign anything and wasn't even present during this deal. The car they sold us was a lemon which explains why they were trying to rush this through. The loan, which started on XX/XX/XXXX, is through Credit Acceptance. They and the dealer have acknowledged that this is an illegal loan and told me to return the car to the dealership which i did on XX/XX/XXXX. The dealer has since relisted the car. I contacted Credit Acceptance multiple times to get this illegal loan out of my name and they are telling me they can't until the dealer releases the loan. Why does a bank, who's financing this, need to wait dealer to terminate the loan? And if this loan is still technically in my name, how is it that XXXX XXXX XXXX has it relisted for sale?

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I sent Credit Acceptance and XXXX XXXX XXXX Company a dispute letter disputing the repossession listed on my credit report and requesting all documentation pertaining to the repossession. On XX/XX/2019, I received a summons to appear to court on XX/XX/2019, at XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/2019, I contacted Credit Acceptance Attorney who is representing them by the name XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with XXXX to see if I could get the court date changed due to me not receiving proper notices and short notice to attend court. I did not hear back from her so I sent a response to the complaint that was filed against me to XXXX at XXXX and XXXX via email at XXXX and handle delivered a copy of the response to the complaint to the State of TN , County of XXXX. Next, I sent a SECOND NOTICE to Credit Acceptance requesting the repossession information that's supposed to be provided to the consumer by law. We appeared in court and they reset the date to XX/XX/2019 at XXXX. The attorney 's for the plaintiff stated that they had already sent the information out to me but they did not have the correct address on file the first time according to XXXX at XXXX and XXXX who verbally stated that all of the information had been sent at the time of collection to the other address at XXXX XXXX XXXX but not XXXX XXXX XXXX. The court stated they wanted to give them an opportunity to send me that information. They are attempting to sue me for {$10000.00} plus contractual interest accruing 10 % totalling {$870.00} plus contractual attorney fees {$2200.00} for a total judgement amount of {$13000.00}. This is the second attempt and Credit Acceptance have failed to send me the information requested pertaining to the repossession listed on my credit reports.
