Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 my credit report is showing that I am 150 and 120 's days late in the most recent 12 months. The problem occurred when I fell behind on my truck note because of some financial difficulties and the truck was repossessed. The finance company Credit Acceptance ( CA ), added repo fees and late payments to my account totalling {$3000.00}. I talked to ( CA ) and I paid the repo fees ( {$1200.00} ) and was able to set up payment arrangements and I got the truck back. CA did not explain that the late payments and fees would become part of my present payment and not be placed on the end of the account. Now CA is requiring the {$3000.00} to be paid first and until it is paid my account will remain 150 to 120 days late and reports this the credit bureau. I have has been making the agreed payments on time each month but it is still showing late because of the {$3000.00} balance. My credit report is being ruined because of this. I spoke to CA to see if something could be worked out concerning this to help me improve my credit and CA refused to help with anything. According to the payment arrangments set if I continue to pay {$550.00} a month, only {$75.00} is going towards the{$3000.00}. This means that it will take nearly two years for this balance to be removed and by then 120, 150 days will increase to where my credit is ruined.

Consumer Complaint: Every month Credit Acceptance Finance company is reporting to all 3 of my credit reports as if I'm late in making a car payment. The account with Credit Acceptance has been closed since XX/XX/2017, the month and year that they picked up there vehicle. How can they still be reporting to all 3 credit bureaus like the account is still active? They've had there car back since XX/XX/2017 and they still reporting as if I still have the car and I'm making late payments, that info is incorrect reporting to my credit for almost 2 years now.

Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing this issue with all three bureaus they keep saying the information is correct and accurate from the creditor point of view this is the problem I felt behind on my payments they repossessed my car but before they repossessed it I asked for and extension before I got behind they told me I had to make the full payment then they would see If they could set it up I told them if I had the full amount I wouldn't need and extension then I felt behind they repossessed the car called me and said how much I had to pay to get it back I paid it we talked on the phone and I paid it took three days to get it after I paid the money I agreed to pay XXXX a month until I catch up with the past due payments I did that for a few months and I couldn't afford it so we worked out another agreement that I would pay XXXX by weekly starting my next pay date so I split the payments but they have been reporting to the bureau like I'm not paying at all they have all x, s since the repo and I have been making payments and on some of the balances after the payment it didn't change it went down a few dollars or in some cases after I paid it went up so I even asked if I had any extra fees they said no then I called again and one rep said I had interest I asked how then they hung up I called back they connected me to someone else l keep trying to get this straight and everyone making me feel like I'm crazy like I can't add or see what's going on and they also have on my report that I have 29 missed payments and I would like to have that corrected as well if I would've had that many missed payment they would have repossessed my car again

But they came out with no warning they took the car,the morning of the arrangements. Repossessed it. Added extra fees, which I was unable to pay to get vehicle back. Now they are saying I owe even more money, over $1000.00. First of all they were wrong for even taking my vehicle. As I had already made arrangements with different custormer service reps. Wrong fully repossessed car. I'm not able to pay. Thank you. XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I co-signed for a loan in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX my son was in a car accident and the insurance company deemed it totaled in early XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX my son called the lender , credit acceptance , to get payoff status. They informed him it was in a repossession status’s abd there was nothing he could do at this point. I personally contacted the lender. They informed me it was due to not receiving proper documentation from the insurance company. They mentioned they attempted to contact myself and my son numerous times however we both received nothing. I feel they’re being unfair and not willing to assist with this error that was obviously caused by miscommunication. My son has never been late on his payments

Consumer Complaint: I have an auto loan with Credit Acceptance a second chance finance company. I get harassing phone calls from them every month. They call the day after the loan is due and I tell them that I will pay this loan on the XXXX Friday of every month. Then the turn right back around and call me every day. I mean every day to ask what day I will be paying the loan and can I borrow the money from someone. That's disrespectful especially to someone whose told you what day the payment is going to be made on. Also, it's just plain old rude as heck. I have even asked if they could move my due date closer to the XXXX Friday of the month so I don't have to go thru this with them. Please help me get some relief from this creditor. I have never been harassed like this before. I pay my bills and I have a set order everyone gets paid in.

Consumer Complaint: I was desperate to find a low cost vehicle and planned on buying used. I am having financial hardship. Went to XXXX XXXX. I requested to see car advertised on XXXX. Price slightly less than {$17000.00}. Nothing explained to me before signing agreement with XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation. Payment > $ XXXX/month. I told them I can not afford the payment and broke down crying. I expected a ~ {$13000.00} loan. I put {$4000.00} down. The purchase price was listed as {$23000.00}. {$10000.00} more than expected. I was told ; because of my bad credit the only way a financial company will loan me any money is if its above a certain amount ... .to be determined by the lender. I anticipated higher interest rate but theirs higher than anticipated. 22.99 %. I said well if they require more money for the loan I will get a better car. I was told, oh NO you can not do that. I asked why? Because they will add more money to that loan. I asked about a new car for that amount and told they wont finance a new car. I was being told that I had to do this type of financing because of my bad credit and I felt forced into signing contract because they told me I couldnt do better anywhere else. I asked 2 other car loan companies about their financing and they said they dont do that. One company was XXXX XXXX who sent me your contact information.
