Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of hurricane Michael that hit the Flordia XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I purchased a car XX/XX/XXXX because of a divorce, and repossession that took place on behalf of my ex husband. The car was financed by a subprime lender, Credit Acceptance. The car was totalled in the storm. 1 year later my XXXX children and I are still living in a family shelter due to losing our home and Credit Acceptance wants me to pay for the car. I have tried to get them to negotiate with me but they refuse. It's affected my credit negativity and because of it I can't even rent a home for myself and my XXXX children. I also tried working with XXXX XXXX concerning the matter but that hasn't helped.

Consumer Complaint: I took a loan out for {$15000.00} approximately in XX/XX/XXXX. The car payments were being made automatically out of my checking account. In XXXX I'm told that I'm being sued from credit acceptance XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MI XXXX through XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, WI XXXX I told XXXX XXXX XXXX that I wasn't aware the payments were not being made. Granted I should balance my checking, but I know the amount of money approximately going on so I know I'm safe. I never received any notices from credit acceptance stating they were going to repossess the car so I was confused. XXXX XXXX XXXX set me up on a payment plan for {$650.00} s month. I told them that amount was too much they said that was all they could do. I wasn't able to come up with the {$650.00} however the next month I post dated a check for {$650.00} to catch up. {$650.00} is too much but I was forced that amount for payment. Now my case has been reopened. I wasn't treated right by credit acceptance when I tried explaining the situation. I never received any paperwork from credit acceptance. Upon my own investigation I found out that credit acceptance used my insurance agents address for my address. This would explain why I wasn't getting paperwork from credit acceptance corporation. If I was that far behind on my car payments then I would have received a car repossession. I haven't used XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX for my insurance in years. I can't help that the loan was set up with the wrong address. Please help me. It's not right that a company can say they tried contacting you and sent you multiple letters when they entered the wrong address in their system from the start of the loan. Then years later they lie and say they sent me letters.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a used vehicle from XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CO XXXX ) in the last couple weeks. There appears to be only minor issues with the vehicle ... rather, my complaint is in regards to their handling of my financial situation as it relates to the purchase. Here is a bullet point list of issues as they stand as of this writing : ( details in contract attached ) * The finance guy, XXXX XXXX, said " Oh, and the warranty is included '', however, after having been rushed through the paperwork, I reviewed it upon finalization and it is NOT included, it was added on ... over {$2000.00}. * XXXX XXXX also added roadside service, at my expense. ( both this and the above are OPTIONAL and I was not properly informed of them being added let alone given the option to select or decline. * The agreement between myself and XXXX XXXX ( salesman ) and his manager ( XXXX XXXX last ) that I could take possession of the vehicle and pay the down payment of {$620.00} by XX/XX/2019. Today ( XXXX ) I discovered a withdrawal from my checking account for {$310.00} that I did not authorize! I phoned XXXX XXXX who said he knew nothing of this transaction of # XXXX from my account today, but assumed it was his 'business office ' and they were closed until Monday ( XXXX ) so nothing could be done until then. I told him that was not acceptable, that this needed to be rectified immediately. He said it was impossible. He suggested I speak to the dealership manager and took my name an number and said he'd ( the mgr ) would call me back. As of this moment XXXX XXXX, the dealership is closed and I have yet to receive a call! The used car division of XXXX is on the same property as the new dealership, to the west. This location, I believe, is occupied by personnel of the Credit Acceptance company. Thus, I believe they are acting in concert as it certainly seems that XXXX must be well aware and thus condoning, supporting and encouraging the activities of Credit Acceptance. If I am correct in that the personnel at this location are Credit Acceptance employees, then it is them who added items to my loan without agreement or consent and committed consumer fraud through subprime lending practices. The location information I have provided is for the Colorado location in XXXX as I don't know the home office address of Credit Acceptance.

Consumer Complaint: I was shocked when I reviewed my credit report and found late payment on the dates below : XX/XX/2019 FOR 30 DAYS LATE? I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me, or the payment was not applied as fast as expected. I check my bank account and noticed that you deducted the money out of my checking account that on the month that you marked me late on my credit report.

Around the XXXX of XXXX I received notice again by regular mail, dated XXXX from my employer 's payroll service XXXX stating my wages were going to be garnished for XXXX by deductind 25 % from each check. I never received notice from the lawyer or the Sheriff Office. I have custody of my XXXX grandchildren and I am head of household. There is no way I will be able to pay my bills and provide for our basic living needs. Also, I work for a corporation who subcontracts for XXXX [ XXXX and XXXX XXXX ] a XXXX XXXX who has a difficult background check to pass, which I have not cleared yet. Financial obligations are part of the background check, with that being said I am concerned about being cleared with this wage garnishment. I may loose my job.
