Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corporation has reported multiple insurance purposely to different credit agencies. The car was bought with a former spouse. The former spouse disappeared and I filed for dissolution of marriage. Since I left with nothing but the clothes on my back and left my former spouse everything including money, apartment, and vehicle, in the decree, the Superior Court Judge awarded her all property. I solely kept the vehicle I purchased when I left. As a note, it took months to process the dissolution of marriage as event the sheriff 's office could not find her to serve the documents. My lawyer and the judge made very clear that I would be losing all rights to the vehicle and the possessions I left with her. When I called Credit Acceptance Corporation, I was cursed at, told that Credit Acceptance will does not have to abide by what a judge says in another state and demanded payment or adverse credit reporting will continue. I contacted another legal team to deal with Credit Acceptance Corporation. Just a look at consumer reviews are enough to send chills down your spine.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I sent a letter to credit acceptance via certified mail to verify that what they were reporting on my credit report was accurate. Credit acceptance had supposedly already verified to the credit reporting agencies that it was was reporting accurate information despite me showing them several inaccuracies. The letter was delivered to credit acceptance and they ignored it. I doubt they investigated anything. According to the FCRA section 623 they only have 30 days to get the results back to the consumer. It's been closer to 45 days with no contact from credit acceptance.

Consumer Complaint: I have been attempting to resolve my credit concerns since XX/XX/XXXX and it is now XX/XX/XXXX. The car was repossessed, but redeemed in XX/XX/XXXX, and I continue to pay the regular car payment of {$430.00}, plus {$140.00} per month in order to repay the past due amount on the XXXX of every month since I redeemed the car. The account continues to report as closed and in repossession, with no payment history of funds received being reported to all three major credit reporting agencies. I have a loan for a XXXX XXXX XXXX with this company, and they are reporting to my credit report incorrectly. I have attempted multiple calls to this company and was outright lied to by two of their agents just to get me off of their line. They stated their credit team handles these requests and they would transfer me to their voicemail for a return call, but each time they transferred me, I was not able to leave a voicemail, the recording just continued to loop. TWICE THEY DID THIS! The third agent I spoke with actually held the line and let me leave a voicemail to their credit reporting team, but little good it did as I did not get a return call. She also gave me a confirmation number that she stated was from XX/XX/XXXX where they submitted an electronic update to the credit reporting agencies, which I later learned from another agent, was just an internal number they used for their cases, not an AUD to the credit reporting agencies. I was advised that they sent me credit reporting documents in the mail, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM! I called back the following week and was told by a 4th agent that their credit reporting team does not even call customers, and she was not sure why they told me that, well I know why, it is because I was demanding they do their job and FIX MY CREDIT! They have made several violations under FCRA regarding the reporting of inaccurate information to my credit profile! It should not be so hard for a DEBT COLLECTION COMPANY to follow the FEDERAL LAWS established for instances such as these. It is not a closed account, nor is it in repossession, because I DRIVE IT DAILY! If it is closed, and repossessed, then why am I paying them????? It took them one week to report it as repossessed, and if I miss a payment, they call relentlessly bordering on harassment, so why do I have to harass them to just do the RIGHT THING!?

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: Since XXXX of XXXX I have been filing over 5-10 complaints of issues with your assistance and its been marginal progress as of today. Just recently I received resolution or investigation completions of my reporting of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation. Separate or attached complaints will be completed. Credit Acceptance corporation filed a lawsuit against me in XXXX in XXXX due to me returning XXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX that they sold at a loss without providing terms of sale. Default judgement was entered in XXXX without my knowledge. Lawsuit was dismissed or cancelled due to it being included in XXXX - Chapter XXXX filing that was discharged around XX/XX/XXXX. Issue is that anything after the lawsuit is charged off and it stops reporting because it's no longer an active account. Since the bankruptcy these two companies have updated and included more predatory information other than the account was included in bankruptcy. They have monthly activity for a closed or charged off account, I think that's counter-intuitive, legal or ethical practice. It's intentional and predatory and should be illegal, if not already so. Additionally, from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX they updated Failed to Pay - FP - but for the month of my Chapter XXXX filing they have negative - N. I would like the account deleted because since my initial complaints since XX/XX/XXXX they have not acted in an ethical and fair manner probably in accordance with the FCRA, stress being placed on " FAIR ''. XXXX XXXX acknowledges that the account in now in bankruptcy, however my initial complaints inclusive of your organization have still gone ignored as they have my status of my discharged auto loan as : " Status : Now paying / was a charge-off '' .This information is false or fraudulent as car was never charged off and never received paperwork to this status and I have not made a payment since XXXX or XXXX of XXXX. Car re-affirmation agreement was rescinded and officially recognized my Judge XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The month of XXXX has retroactive reporting stating the car was 90 days late, reaffirmation agreement was accepted in XXXX. Account could not be late at this period of time and XXXX and XXXX has - FP - failed to pay, but you have more contradictory information being reported, " Late payments : XX/XX/XXXX '' there was no payment being made in XXXX. Payments were never made due partially to the fact that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX nor XXXX XXXX reached out to communicate proper channels to remit payment during bankruptcy. I want the account deleted as part of my dispute resolution request. It is my opinion that both of these companies have sought to delay and not act in accordance with the FCRA Act. It is fact that the issues previously mention have been previously brought to you to adjudicate or mediate to modest gains. It is my opinion the two companies have sought to act unethically, professionally and out of accordance with FCRA with the semantics of updating negative information to their discharged accounts via bankruptcy in the comments and monthly activity on my credit report that would hinder credit repair and a good FICO score. It is my opinion which is rooted in fact that XXXX has reviewed the same complaints many times on many occasions and they have not enforced the FCRA and informed XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation that the reporting is unfair and contradictory. Therefore, I am led to believe that XXXX is acting in conjunction with the companies and agrees with their unethical behavior and is culpable in this matter. As I stated, due to my previous complaint with CFPB I received a paper form of my credit report showing positive changes, however some 3-5 days later XXXX XXXX website is showing no change. CFPB : please assist me in deleting these accounts as my two former creditors ( XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation ) with the assistance with XXXX continue to violate the FCRA after I have legally absolved myself of these debts.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX is continuing to report an account Credit Acceptance Corporation in the amount of {$4800.00} that is a result of identity theft on to my credit file. I have informed XXXX that this account needs to be deleted blocked and investigated but yet they have failed to do their due diligence on this above referenced account. I have also contacted Credit Acceptance Corporation and this company can not provide a signed application bearing my signature nor a contract stating that I have had any obligation with them. I have never dealt with Credit Acceptance so how in the heck can XXXX be possibly verifying and validating anything when the company itself can't provide me with any information. They have not provided competent evidence bearing my signature, showing that I have or ever had some contractual obligation to pay you or the original creditor. I will be forced to sue XXXX and Credit Acceptance Corporation for 1. ) Defamation 2. ) Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud 3. ) Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act if this is not removed immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I bought a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX. XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. They asked me about a trade in and I did a trade in of my XXXX XXXX XXXX. They left out the trade information on the purchase order and they also had me initial that I was unable to sue them. No one from XXXX. XXXX signed the purchase order also. I financed the XXXX car with Credit Acceptance and XXXX. XXXX said they would take care of the trade in. They gave me {$1000.00} for trading in the XXXX and on the purchase order they listed it as " deferred down payment ''. I only put down {$300.00}. The XXXX. XXXX I worked with ended up closing its doors in XXXX and there was a list of complaints which probably resulted in them closing. Their address was XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CT XXXX. XXXX. XXXX is a franchise and there is still some locations open. On XX/XX/XXXX Credit Acceptance signed the release of my title for the XXXX. I believed everything was all set because they would not mail me my title unless the car was paid in full. Later when I viewed my credit report, I seen that I owed Credit Acceptance {$9300.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX. They attacked me stating they were going to garnish my wages if I didn't pay them. I took this discrepancy to court ; in which the judge ruled in their favor and I am now obligated to pay ( court order ) {$120.00} out of each pay check for a car that was traded in!
