The company has never contacted me telling me a payment amount due, they've never said anything about when the payments are due each month, if they are going to reopen the case then they should have at least contacted me about making payments or anything.

Consumer Complaint: I have written to Credit Acceptance Corporation since XX/XX/XXXX about late payments on my credit report that they stated that I would not have negative remarks for in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I opened up this loan for a family who needed to obtain a vehicle-XXXX XXXX XXXX. They fell upon hard times and the vehicle was picked up XXXX XXXX. I paid the recovery to get the vehicle back on track and was put in a repayment plan to catch up the past due balance. I asked specifically when I spoke with the representative on XX/XX/XXXX and they told me that as long as I kept the arrangement then I would not be reported late. I personally repossessed the vehicle from the family member to ensure the payments would be made on time. I have 5 late payments on this account because the arrangement was for 18 months and I paid it off the arrangement early while caring for my then XXXX spouse and was told that I would not have a late payment by setting up the arrangement. Every payment has been made on time for the last year and a half since my husband passed away. I keep up the maintenance on the vehicle by going to my local XXXX dealership in XXXX, XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, this vehicle left me and my XXXX kids unexpectedly on the side of the road because it was running hot and shutting off with no prior warning. I had the vehicle taken to the dealership and they stated a multitude of issues that were expensive to repair. I called Credit Acceptance on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with XXXX and explained what occurred and asked for an arrangement in order to pay the balance and still get the vehicle repaired. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED AGAIN IF I WOULD HAVE LATE PAYMENT ON MY CREDIT REPORT WITH ME SETTING UP AN ARRANGEMENT AND SHE SAID I SHOULD NOT. The agreement was XXXX that day which I paid and XXXX a month starting XX/XX/XXXX. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX, I get a notification from the credit bureaus stating that this same organization had updated my credit report 30 days late and dropping my FICO score 37 points with XX/XX/XXXX. This company does not respond to any correspondence. They have falsified information to me on several occassions about credit reporting that are inaccurate. I want all of these late payments removed.

Consumer Complaint: I have an auto loan with Credit Acceptance Corporation. With XXXX being especially hard, I have reached out to the company on numerous occasion explaining that I had been furloughed and that I needed to either 1. change the due date on my account, 2. lower my payments, ( even if temporarily ) or 3. refinance. I told them that I was still working but my pay was extremely limited. Repeatedly I was told that I could not do any of the above and that my only option was to double up on payments. At the end of XXXX, they put the car in collection/repossession status and told me that they would collect any day. Being that I wanted to avoid this, I asked if I could sell the vehicle and settle the account. I was told no. If I were to sell the vehicle, I would have to pay the buyout with was {$19000.00} for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX. Obviously this is already a bad credit loan. And they insist they are trying to help people like me. But it seems they are extorting people like me. Nothing about this whole situation has been helpful. It is a decision that I have lived to regret and I wish there were more options for people like me to get themselves back on track. Companies like this dont help. They make the situation worse.

I am writing to see if you would be willing to make a " goodwill '' adjustment to your reporting to the three credit agencies. I have late payments on the above referenced account XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX XXXX. Since that time I was an exceptional customer paying every month on time. Because of my exceptional payment history over the last years, I would like you to consider removing the negative payments from my credit report. At the time of the late payments, I was in the process of changing jobs. I say that not to justify why the payments were late, but rather to show that the late payments are not a good indicator of my actual credit worthiness.

Consumer Complaint: i have been dealing with XXXX for more then 6 months with the same problem to no resolution at all..The problem is with credit acceptance able to report on my credit file after i have mailed, email.faxed..communicated to over 15 customer service about this problem.XXXX I purchase a vehicle from credit acceptance receive my title in the mail,XX/XX/XXXX i purchase another vehicle from credit acceptance for XXXX +title and taxes it was XXXX high balance after paying the vehicle of i recieved my title in the mailed XXXX and XXXX i did a title loan on it from XXXX XXXX and XXXX I didnt want the vehicle and i allowed discount title to keep it..XX/XX/XXXX credit acceptance took me to court for balance of XXXX ..I had XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to represent me and i was told by XXXX XXXX that i did not have to go to court due to health issue and I was in the hospital..XXXX XXXX told me that i lost, Dont worry as long as im XXXX credit acceptance wont see a penny..XX/XX/XXXX I filed suit against credit acceptance because im trying to purchase my first home and that judgement is damaging my chance to get approved, XXXX isnt doing a complete job credit acceptance keep reporting back to XXXX that the account belong to me and the information is accurate, which it not with credit acceptance reporting high balance of XXXX and the unpaid balance is XXXX the payment history add up to XXXX its not adding up.XX/XX/XXXX CFPB had a Block added to my credit report and both credit acceptance and XXXX received the documents, and i had a fraud alert added XX/XX/XXXX to my account XX/XX/XXXX credit acceptance reported 180 days late ... XXXX XXXX denied my loan approval because of credit acceptance and XXXX not doing their job ... I have filed over 17 disputes about this matter .XXXX employee keep telling me to get in touch with credit acceptance, I keep explaining to XXXX that we're in Litigation in the XXXX XXXX of Alabama XXXX XXXX -Credit Acceptance and by me been XXXX XXXX and XXXX no one want to help to make this right ! Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with Credit Acceptance and have called to ask if payments could be placed on back of loan do to loss of work during covid. Flat out told no and asked when I could make a payment. I have fallen behind and try to pay something but I will never catch up. Then they are only acknowledging Covid Relief for certain States. I live in NC a Hotspot state and nothing is being done. I feel as though I'm denying discriminated against and its not right. They are reporting to all credit agencies and I'm trying this is ridiculous and needs to cease. They already charge astronomical interest and fees I can't see how they are a legal entity.
