I have noticed that account ( Credit acceptance ) is reporting 21 late/missed payments with a balance of {$4800.00} but the account is paid in full of a {$0.00} balance as of XX/XX/XXXX. The account is not reporting accurately, and I ask that this account also be removed from my credit report immediately. I contacted credit acceptance but I was told that the payment just reached them and it will be u til XX/XX/XXXX, that itll show paid.

Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX entered into a consumer credit transaction with Credit Acceptance and XXXX XXXX. These two organizations used deceptive and manipulative acts to coerce me into signing a auto contract. The two companies did not disclose my right to rescind. This transaction included a Finance Charge which is the sum of all charges according to the Truth in Lending Act. I was manipulated into paying cash as a down payment and making monthly payments for a vehicle. Violation of the Truth in Lending Act holds XXXX XXXX and Credit Acceptance criminally and civilly liable for noncompliance.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Consumer Complaint: Because of the Pandemic during the months of XXXX and XX/XX/2020 the car payments were late. I called the Lender and explained that Millions of people were waiting for their unemployment payments due to not working because of pandemic. Lender agreed that I would not be penalized for late payments. All of a sudden I notice my credit score drops 30 points because the lender reported me late. I was able to make my XX/XX/2020 Payment because I received the {$1200.00} stimulus check but I was still waiting on my unemployment. I Filed for that unemployment in XXXX and did not receive my first check until XX/XX/2020 and you will see that on my credit report I made a payment of XXXX and XXXX at one time. The lender did this on purpose they know late payment will drop your score and if they keep your score low they stay in business. Something needs to be done about this type of fraud. I have no problem allowing my cell phone records to be pulled to show proof there were calls to the lender during that time. What other reason would I be calling the lender? I have never called them since getting the loan and since the last call to dispute. Infact I can show my bank statements where I was not charged late fees for that month so then why was I reported late to credit bureau.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corporation fraudulently reported that a payment was made in XXXX of 2020 and then proceeded to report " missed payments '' since then. My understanding is that the account should have dropped off my report at 7 to 7 years and 6 months. It has now been on my report for 7 years and 8 months. Through research I've learned that sometimes companies will record a false payment which causes the 7 years on your report to start over. This was a vehicle we helped a family member get and they defaulted. I have been working hard to repair my credit since my divorce, but the actions of this company have been detrimental in repairing my score. In XX/XX/2020, my score dropped 123 points and has had minor drops with each reported " missed payment ''. I had filed a dispute with XXXX, but the company merely made a " correction '' to something and the " correction '' was made on my report. I'm not sure what that correction was, but it was not the issue I am dealing with. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was rear ended. From there the vehicle was totaled out. I contacted the lienholder and inquired about GAP Insurance. I was told I did not have that. After reviewing my contract I did in fact have GAP coverage. The lienholder only removed approximately {$800.00}. After questioning them why they told me that is how it works. I advised my contract stated otherwise. After pulling my payment ledger and matching it with my bank I realized that 3-4 payments that were taken from my bank were never posted. Also, I had gotten behind on the loan. While the in fact did work with me they did not advise me because I was on a payment plan that they would be reporting to the credit bureaus that I have not made payments. Actually, they have reported that I have not made any payments to them throughout the entirety of owning the car. When in fact I have. They have completely ruined my credit and are now looking for a balance of over {$2000.00} which should not be owed since I had GAP Insurance and XXXX. So not only are there missing payments never posted to my account, they ruined my credit by reporting no payments made and also have me on the hook for over {$2000.00} when I had XXXX and GAP coverage. I have made several attempts to get answers regarding the matter and I have been treated very poorly and not one customer service member is willing to help. I reviewed their pay ledger to my checking account. They charged over {$800.00} in late fees when I was on a payment plan and was never advised I would receive late fees. Also, when the car was totaled they showed a past due balance on my online account of over {$2000.00}. They had not been posting any payments made all year. They received a check for over {$5000.00} from the insurance company. Once that check was posted they were still showing a past due balance of almost {$400.00} which did not make sense as 1. The past due balance prior had not reflected any XX/XX/XXXX payments and 2. They received a check for over {$5000.00}. I can not purchase a new vehicle since they reported to the credit bureaus that I have not made any payments. In the year XX/XX/XXXX they reported that I had not made 5 months worth of payments when in fact it had been only 1 month. In XX/XX/XXXX they reported I had not made any payments when I had actually made every payment. I borrowed {$11000.00}. In the 3 years of having the vehicle including late fees and the insurance check from the damaged vehicle they have received {$14000.00}. They removed {$830.00} in GAP insurance when my contract states if the vehicle is lost due to theft, confiscation or destruction you WILL NOT owe the difference. I am unsure of where to turn as I have received no help or guidance from their company. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: This car had mechanical issues worth more than the car was worth. I advised the lender to come pick up the car in early XXXX. They are still reporting this loan as open and not showing it as a repo ( whether voluntary or not ) they are currently reporting different statuses depending on which bureau report you look at. One says im 120 days past due the other says 180 days past due. The last reporting isn't even correct as its from XX/XX/2020 and we are now in XXXX. I have tried to resolve this via the credit bureaus/ creditor to no avail. They are reporting current late payments which makes it look like I am STILL neglecting to pay on a open vehicle which is not the case. the payment history is also all over the placed. according to the FCRA all reporting should be accurate and up to date, which this account shows neither. It shows I have a current payment due and I do not. I am requesting that the company remove this account from my credit as the damage they are doing with conitinually reporting these super past due payments and that is highly damaging to my credit.
