Consumer Complaint: After being affected financially/physically by Covid-19, Credit Acceptance Corporation placed my account in a Covid protected status in XX/XX/XXXX and reported to the credit bureaus as affected by natural disaster. Per the company, this was effective through XX/XX/XXXX. I have made payments during the protected status. My standard payment is {$450.00} a month and I have been paying {$560.00} the past three months. On XX/XX/XXXX, Credit Acceptance reported to all three credit bureaus as me being late from XX/XX/XXXX to current. This is completely false. They reported to XXXX and XXXX that I made no payments during XX/XX/XXXX through Present and to XXXX that I made no payments XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. Last month, my account read 100 % payment history and now this month Im showing 11 missed payments? Its not true. It has dropped my credit score over 100 points! When I called and spoke to a representative, I was told once Covid protection ended we marked all customers late during those months. How is that allowed? Its unethical. The last representative I spoke with said maybe just pay the car off and then you dont have to worry about it. Who has XXXX during a pandemic? Please help me have them remove all late charges as I was a victim of Covid, not late and was in Covid protected status and the information reported is false.

Consumer Complaint: Purchased a used vehicle and financed through Credit Acceptance. In 2016 the vehicle was flooded in Hurricane Harvey. The vehicle was towed out of the water after sitting in the water a whole day. It was sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX for inspection. They pulled the wet carpet out the vehicle and broke it down for inspection. It took my insurance company 6 months to finally get to the car and they denied it stating that there was no sign of water in the car. Well if a car sits out 6 months I'm sure that is plenty of time for it to dry. From all the water lines and mold in the vehicle there was no way I was letting it go. I filed an appeal and that took months. When we went finally to chexk on the car it was gone and XXXX XXXX XXXX could not explain nor could Credit Acceptance tell me where the car was. I have tried to resolve this matter and they have yet to respond or communicate anything concerning the vehicle. I don't know if it has been sold, crushed, sent to auction or just plain destroyed. Statue of limitations and far exceeded their ability to collect and they still have this on my credit when they know the car was flooded and I have not seen it since it was picked up.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a car from Credit Acceptance in XX/XX/XXXX. Now by XXXX I was behind so they repossessed it and yes I had " good faith '' payments to keep my car out of auction. I made the last payment to get my car on XX/XX/XXXX. I was refused my cars release until XX/XX/XXXX. A year later I find out they had taken the car out of my name on XX/XX/XXXX after I had done paid all my payments I had to for them to release it. I was never informed that they had taken a car out of my name they never sent me paperwork I asked Credit Acceptance for anything else and even up til today. They take blame but refuse to own the {$1000.00} worth of penalties. Plus the {$1000.00} I'm just out because Credit acceptance decided to not post them.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX I bought car XXXX XXXX spark for XXXX purchase price XXXX owner myself previous owner XXXX XXXX XXXX holder credit acceptance lien holders are in place when there is ownership of the car loans are taken out fairly loans are cash agreements you have to pay back so there is a lien for some reason the car is paid for and I know the title I have is me memorandum title is given to you from the actual title being sold for some type of collateral like a loan but since the cash price or purchase price is there I think that they say there was a financed part but that added money to the car price so they charged like 18,000 more and I'm not even into head about XXXX $ being the payment and I'm nowhere near paying for it its like they slowed time down the car has been a problem I got it because of the things I was waiting for the lawsuit social security told me about the way its going its been 4 years and they still hav n't distributed the money it was already a closed case in XXXX but I can't get straight answers people have been trying to steal evidence that it existed told me over the phone over the years from some they don't know then Ill leave voice mail an never get a response but it seems like I'm put in a situation that the lien holder/ loan place which I'm noticing wants all the money but lien like if I didn't have the money to file bankruptcy like is on my credit report its unfair because it is but its reported I bought the car for a certain price or financed it that's there but the confusing part is the purchase price being noted on the title and sales tax like that's some kind of weird thing I own it, but the exit for the car dealership does not exist the dealership doesn't exist and only the license bureau knows something they gave me hard plates off a memorandum title but they don't know the problem I'm having because its not loan max or some other title loan place
