Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I had a loan with Credit Acceptance for a XXXX XXXX van I had financed. I traded in that vehicle with XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I have confirmed with receipts that the dealer paid off this loan in full and received title to the van. Credit Acceptance never marked my loan as paid. This last spring they began reporting it to the credit bureaus as late and I now have multiple 180+ lates on my credit that are inaccurate, as I have not had this vehicle since XXXX and it was paid in full by the dealer. I have contacted Credit Acceptance multiple times and they ignore my requests for information. After a complaint to the XXXX they marked it as paid and sent me a title release. They also sent me an original copy of hte loan with a paid stamp on it where they crossed off XXXX as the paid date and put XX/XX/XXXX. This loan was fully satisfied in XXXX and the lates on my credit report are inaccurate and preventing me from refinancing my mortgage. I want these inccorrect lates removed from my report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, a XXXX XXXX XXXX with XXXX miles was purchased for {$16000.00} and financed at 22.99 % XXXX 23 % ) with a finance charge {$12000.00} for an extremely high final TOTAL purchase PRICE of {$28000.00}. The car was purchased from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX ) Main tel # XXXX or ( XXXX ) XXXX. The extremely high car cost of {$28000.00} was FINANCED via Credit Acceptance. As of XXXX, {$16000.00} is still owed on the vehicle ( original car note {$28000.00} at 23 % interest rate ). A one-time, full payment, settlement offer of {$9500.00} to pay-off and satisfy the debt was made to Credit Acceptance via certified mail return receipt. As per law, Credit Acceptance is supposed to respond within 30 days to the written inquiry. However, Credit Acceptance has not responded to any of my prior written letters to settle the {$16000.00} owed on the over-priced XXXX XXXX XXXX. Essentially, the cost of the car {$16000.00} is almost the finance cost {$12000.00}. This is an egregious and unscrupulous/corrupt practice.
