Consumer Complaint: Late payments have been placed on my account. When it shouldnt have after a total loss in XX/XX/XXXX. I did a payment arrangement for {$100.00} a month. I guess the system was still doing {$320.00} a month. So therefore late payments was added to my credit report and it also took my score down. I called to talk to them about it but they refuse to take the late payment Off. Also I have seen the balance go up and down on this account also I also tried to bring that to their attention. The dates of the late payments on his account is XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Im not sure if they have any other late payments because they have not updated the account since it looks like. This has also stopped me from getting in new vehicle after I had another total loss. Consumer Complaint: Yes I had a Joint Auto Loan through CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP that was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. The car was stolen in XX/XX/XXXX and the account became delinquent. When I reached out to Credit Acceptance in regards to the account they stated that the account was closed but it still actively shows as Open on me and my wife credit reports, It reports every month as Late. The account original balance was {$10000.00}. I have settled the account with Credit Acceptance as agreed with the creditor for {$2000.00}. But the Creditor is still reporting the account as open and late which is really hurting me and my wife credit. I have also Reached out to all three Bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) to have them investigate the account to correct the errors but they keep stating that it was verified as accurate which is not accurate. I ask that this issue be rectified as this is the only account on my report that is hindering me from moving forward.

I have spoken to the attorney general of Utah and have confirmed that this is past the statute of limitation in UT. I no longer owe this debt and Credit Acceptance can not bind this debt to me or try to collect on this debt. I ask that they remove it immediately as this debt is no longer owed.

I declined the gap insurance and when i got home to view my credit acceptance portal i noticed XXXX XXXX dollars was added on for interest which that is more than what the car is worth and was not advised about that at the dealership. I've contacted the dealer but no reply yet. It's sad to be ripping people of their hard earned money. I have kids an struggling as it is now. The car been giving me problems the next day i got it. Interest rates a day that's ridiculous. Almost XXXX for a used XXXX car? That's sad!
