Consumer Complaint: I opened a vehicle loan with Credit Acceptance Corporation in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I paid off the loan full, with a XXXX dollar balance, thus closing the loan. The Credit Acceptance Corporation account remained opened and showing a balance due, so I filed a dispute with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I also filed a credit reporting dispute directly with Credit Acceptance Corporation to indicate that they were not reporting my account as paid in full with a XXXX balance. On XX/XX/XXXX, Credit Acceptance Corporation deliberately reported inaccurate and false information to the three major credit bureaus, in which they indicated that the account was still open and had a balance of more than {$7000.00}. I received a paid in full and lien release letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, from Credit Acceptance Corporation, in which they state that the account is paid in full, has a XXXX dollar balance and that they have released the lien on the vehicle. At the same time, they were still reporting false and inaccurate information about my loan account to XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, despite their letter to me and despite the fact that my loan account had been paid in full as of XX/XX/XXXX. After trying to resolve this several times directly through Credit Acceptance Corporation and through the credit bureaus, I got no where, and my credit report contains deliberately inaccurate information about my Credit Acceptance Corporation account. Credit Acceptance Corporation is knowingly supplying the credit reporting agencies with inaccurate and false information. My loan account is closed and paid in full with a XXXX dollar balance, and it should be immediately reported to the credit reporting agencies as such.

Consumer Complaint: I called the company ( Credit Acceptance Corporation ) about five years ago when I first notice that this fraudulent activity was on my report. I contacted the company and informed them that I never did business with them and if they could removed that from my credit report. I also informed them that I am a victim of identity theft. The company informed me that they will look into the situation and take care of it but never did. I have been disputing this activity for some time now and was told by the credit bureau that the company keep sending it back as accurate because it was being paid on. I explained to the credit bureau that whomever stole my identity was paying until they decided to stop and the company should understand that. I have done everything to prove to them that it is not mines and the company is still refusing to remove this account form my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I bought a used car from Credit Acceptance back in XXXX of 2000 and I had the car for three months until they came and repossessed the car without notice. I got a letter from them telling me that they repossessed the car because no payments had been made on it which I didn't know because I never had use of the car, another person was using the car all this time. After I found this out they said I could get the car back which I tried to do several time but they never told me where the car was at so I could get it back because I had made payments on it myself. I came to find out that car was down state where I could not get it because I have no way to get it and they said that they didn't have no way to get to me. I have as of lately found out that the car still has not been sold and it is at a repossession dealer near me but I can't find out where it is. Since they have done this it is on my credit report which had and is making it hard for me to get a place to live so I ended up living in a homeless shelter for nine months. I need a car badly but I don't want to get it through them again. Can you please resolve this problem for me. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
