Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance claims that I never utilized the service contract for the vehicle, while not acknowledging that they refused to extend the Service Contract to a XXXX XXXX. https : //www.dmv.org/ut-utah/automotive-law/lemon-law.php Utah Lemon Law Utah has a lemon law to protect you in case the new car you buy or lease is so seriously flawed that it can't be repaired ; in other words, if it's a lemon. It's very rare, but it happens. Basically, the Utah lemon law allows vehicle manufacturers a number of attempts to repair your new vehicle 's defect or malfunction before they'll need to either replace the vehicle or refund your purchase. On this page you'll find an overview of the Utah lemon law, the criteria a car must meet to be classified as a lemon, and the steps you may need to take to remedy your issue. Protections Under the Utah Lemon Law The New Motor Vehicle Warranties Act applies to new cars and motor homes under warranty in Utah. Used vehicles are not protected under the Utah lemon law. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was on my way to physical therapy when I was hit by a lady who had no drivers license or insurance. The lady was at fault and received several tickets. My insurance company XXXX determined that my car was a total lose and issued credit acceptance a payment of XXXX, XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. On the day of my accident I got a payoff quote sent to me from credit acceptance ( The Payoff Amount owed on the Account is {$13000.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX ) and I notified them of the accident. I also purchased GAP insurance and a warranty when I purchased the car which totaled 4000, which should take care of the difference. Credit acceptance is now saying I dont have Gap or a warranty and is reporting to the credit bureaus that I am 60-90 days behind on payments and owe them 2000 ( the amount keeps rising so Im not for sure on amount ). This is the second time reporting credit acceptance the first time was for the FAKE warranty that I purchased and now to find out the Gap insurance I purchased was a scam also. Please can you help me this is ruining my credit and causing my family major problems. I sent a dispute to all three credit bureaus that showed all this and explained the date of the last payment was wrong which according to MY RIGHTS the credit bureaus should have deleted it because of incorrect information instead ignored my request and said it was reporting correctly. This would also be the second time all three credit bureaus violated MY RIGHTS.

Consumer Complaint: I have submitted multiple disputes on my account to Credit Acceptance Corp relating to the reporting of the account. The status shows as in repossession -- this vehicle was voluntarily surrendered in 2015 and has been reporting incorrectly for years. The last payment date is incorrect -- they are using the date the vehicle sold at auction and the proceeds were applied when that was not a voluntary payment. The last payment date reported on a credit report is to be the last voluntary payment. The account closed date is incorrect -- it should have been reported as closed on the date of voluntary surrender. The balance is incorrect -- they are continuing to report this account as if it is still open and payments are due. The payment history is incorrect -- it should no longer be showing monthly payments are due/past due as no monthly payments are due on the account -- it should have been charged off long ago. The balance is incorrect -- somehow it increased in the last month! I am going to take legal action if these items are not remediated.

I have not given you permission to access my credit profile and you have no permissible purpose by law to contact third parties with my private or personal information. Your offenses amount to Aggravated Identity Theft pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 1028A. You have knowingly transferred, possessed, or used, without lawful authority, a means of identification of me, which is a felony punishable with up to 2 years of imprisonment, in addition to civil liability. Consumer Complaint: XXXX financed with Credit Acceptance. Paid 66 payment on time. Traded car to XXXX XXXX XXXX, who gave me an affidavit of payoff paid but they sent amount to wrong lienholder, XXXX XXXX XXXX. My credit report showed 30 days late, bringing down score XXXX XXXX XXXX sent letters to show their responsibility. Score still shows paid but 30 days late. ( am not responsible for this actin destroying my credit.I have tried to contact credit acceptance, XXXX, etc. ..no change. Credit ruined by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ... Then, they tried to " fix '' the additional problem of elder abuse without " fixing '' it ... ..XXXX XXXX fraudulently sold me a defective car as well, costing me {$2000.00} more and getting fraudulently getting {$2000.00} from me

Consumer Complaint: I am due to make the final payment on my car loan, with Credit Acceptance, on XX/XX/XXXX. According to their web site my final balance is {$440.00}. A few weeks ago I called them to verify the balance on my loan. The agent would not give me the information I requested. She kept dancing around the issue and saying she couldn't give me an amount until XX/XX/XXXX, when my payment was due. I made the XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX. She just wanted to talk about a past due payment they say I owe. In XX/XX/XXXX they added {$620.00} to my account from a repossession in XXXX. I retrieved the car. I have made a total of {$740.00} extra on my payments since XXXX, XXXX. I should not owe {$120.00} past due. I haven't missed a payment since XXXX. They have continually given me problems when I call and won't answer my questions. In XXXX the site listed {$190.00} past due. Today it was {$320.00}. It changes daily going up and down. I have asked if that is part of my balance or extra. They won't answer my direct question. I live on Social Security and need the information I asked for so I can make my final payment on XX/XX/XXXX. They take advantage of people who have financial problems and during the past two years, with COVID, they won't help me. I have paid 29 % interest for 65 months. XXXX is the end of my contract. Please help me.
