Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 somebody charged my debit card in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) first time for {$2500.00} and then for {$580.00} through the Credit Acceptance Corp., and twice by {$9.00} through the XXXX XXXX. Totally for {$3100.00}. We asked the XXXX to stop processing. However, the XXXX ignored our request and has processed these charges. Some time later we found in the XXXX 's Message Center that this claim is " resolved -claim not paid ''. I never used services of the Credit Acceptance Corp. and had no idea about its existence. The information on the internet suggests that it is a company that is financing subprime automobile loans. Evidently, it has to check credentials of any person who is applying for the loan. Therefore, the Credit Acceptance Corp. has information about this person. Hopefully, the XXXX informed the Credit Acceptance Corp. and that company could initiate a criminal investigation. However, nothing was done. I have no idea who got this loan. The Credit Acceptance Corp. didn't inform me about operations where my identity was involved. It looks that the loan was done for another person who got a car under this loan, but paid by my debit card. How it is possible I can not imagine. By the way, supposedly, the XXXX XXXX is also involved in this fraud, but as an intermediary.

Consumer Complaint: I went into XXXX XXXX two and a half weeks ago to purchase a car And I needed a co-signer so I asked my friend XXXX XXXX to co-sign for me. XXXX put the whole car contract in her name without permission they also lied to me about everything the monthly cost of the car note, the place I was signing on the contract. They refused to let us see the contract they told us to come back when the bank was open to pick it up. They just had a lot of fraudulent practices. my friend and I went in there to return the car and they refused. She called your company who was willing to terminate the lease and the guy at XXXX who gave your representative and us several different names refused to terminate the lease. This whole ordeal was fraud. I never received a contract to date. The car needs repairs, and I was told that the car payment would cost me {$530.00} a month, it wasnt until XXXX asked for the contract from your company that showed me a payment that I can not afford. XXXX is saying you changed the amount to $ XXXX per month. I can not afford the vehicle at that rate, and its wrong for the contract to be in my friends plus she doesnt work, and I do not want her credit to be impacted her name she not be in the loan and she doesnt have access to the car or drive it. I am begging you to terminate the contract.

Consumer Complaint: A few weeks a go, a friend of mine went into victory XXXX located in the XXXX, NY to purchase a car @ XXXX. He needed a co-signer for the car in which he was told that the car will cost him {$530.00} per month. And he will pay biweekly for XXXX mths and then his co-signer would drop off. I agreed to co-sign. XXXX hours later they came back with a paper for both of us to sign. They took us in the darkest room, and we asked about the lighting and they said we are packed tonight. So they they asked us to sign. My friend XXXX XXXX asked why is my co-signer signing first and they replied this is how it goes now, everything is good. We asked for a copy of the contract and they replied you have to come back for that when the bank is open. XXXX was given the vehicle XXXX hours later. We we back days later asked for the contract and they didnt have it. XXXX noticed that the vehicle had some issues tired, dent, wipers, and some other things he went back to have repaired and they still refused the contract. One to Two weeks later I received several letters from credit acceptance stating that I am a owner of a vehicle. I quickly called and conversed with the representative at credit acceptance and explained to them the scenario. They advised me to take the car back and we did. Custody refused to take the car back. They said credit acceptance was closed. I called credit acceptance and kept them on the phone did ring the whole entire visit to victory XXXX. Please refer to the recorded phone call. The representative asked the guy who was portraying to be the manger to give his name and he have a faulty name. He continued to change his name during the whole entire visit. He said that they were not allowed to give XXXX a contract, they couldnt provide him one because it was a paper file, they didnt use computers, they didnt have a return policy, they did not have a return policy posted, they refused to give me a copy of a return policy, they refused to let me speak to anyone with authority, and they threaten to have me put out if I didnt leave. And they said the bank put me first on the loan not them. They said the bank told them not to take the vehicle back. They also said the bank made all the mistake and decisions. I am asking you to void the contract. I am not employed. XXXX can not afford the bill. They lied to him about the payment amount. They placed a vehicle that I do not have chess too in my name, which is perjury. They refused his a contract.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Problem with personal statement of dispute
Consumer Complaint: I started a dispute with Credit Acceptance because I was treated unfairly for buying a car that was literally in the junkyard within a month after buying it. The dealership refused to give me another vehicle. The lending company ( Credit Acceptance ) refused to repossess a junk car. I tried to take the lending company to court and they refused the summons. Everything in life is not about money. The human factor of being deceived in the sale, and the expectation that I should pay for a junked car is unacceptable. In America, when you buy something that's broken, you take it back to the seller and get your money back, or have the item replaced. This is a Punitive action against me, solely for the purpose of ruining my life. When money means more than honesty, the ethics involved are lacking. That is called greed.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted the agency and was told that they wouldn't repossess a junked car. Yet they still keep billing and reporting me on the vehicle. If you buy something and it's broken, you return it and get a refund or a replacement. This car was broken down within the first week after buying it. This is total XXXX XXXX and completely unfair.
