Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a used XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX Arkansas. I made sure to maintain the car regularly, get maintenance that the car needed, be fully insured and have the extended warranty coverage just to be extra safe. The one time the car tripped an engine code, I took it to XXXX XXXX and they turned it off and gave the car back to me only for it to come back on XXXX minutes later. They could not figure out what was wrong with it and told me to take the car to someone else. I also was never late to monthly payments to the company. All this still ended up backfiring on me about 4 months, 3 days later actually. The engine completely blew up on me while driving down the highway going to get gasoline on XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX near exit XXXX. At this time, I did not know that the engine blew and I thought it was a battery or alternator issue so I towed the car and got those parts replaced. Once I realized the engine was toast I contacted my dealer, auto insurance and extended warranty companies. The dealer instructed me to get the car towed to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX specifically so I did.I also payed for the next monthly payment while the vehicle was unable to drive in the repair facility. The warranty company told me that it wasn't their problem to deal with and to contact my auto insurance ; not honoring their policy. Once I contacted the auto insurance company ESURANCE, they did the exact same thing and told me to contact my extended warranty company. By this point, a back and forth, bounce wall-to-wall effect was happening for over 2 MONTHS between me, the extended warranty company and auto insurance. After some time, I was finally able to get the auto insurance company to send out an inspector to find the cause of failure. The same inspector was sent out over 5 DIFFERENT TIMES by BOTH the INSURANCE AND WARRANTY companies to inspect the vehicle. The inspector made poor judgements throughout their inspection being that the dealership was not coming to an agreement on what caused the vehicle to fail with the inspector. One side was saying water damage ( no water was found in the engine ) and the other side was saying otherwise. At this point I have lost all of my money and tax return income paying for rentals to traverse to work ( the vehicle 's fuel was supposed to be reimbursed by auto insurance company but never was ). I then lost my job because I ran out of money for rental vehicles and became very physically and mentally ill and unable to function ( walking home from the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I recovered and developed a XXXX XXXX to then later be admitted to a mental hospital facility and put on s*icide watch during and after being XXXX on the verge of ending it all. The vehicle has been at XXXX XXXX ever since this matter occurred and has ruined my credit and future to have a successful life because CREDIT ACCEPTANCE and THEIR WARRANTY COMPANY and ESURANCE are a bunch of disingenuous evil people that are not out to help you and get over on you for your money. I have been denied approval for every type of loan or card application over 15 TIMES because of this and I am quite literally unable to proceed in life.
