Consumer Complaint: got pre approval on a XXXXXXXX XXXX. the dealership told us we qualified for way more then what we were asking XXXX after down payment. came time to do the loan and everything checked out with hudbands income ( who made plenty to pay for the car by himself ). XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and get paid via personal check ( was able to provide copies of all recent checks ), also sent in my accounts, debit cards for me and nothing drove the 3 hours home and took off the following monday to get everything done and pick up car. sat around all day for the man to keep giving the dealership the runaround SEVERAL TIMES for stuff that was already verified ( proof of job ) end of day comes too say he needed copies of the backs of the checks when that could have been specified days prior. drove 3 hours back my boss gets copies of all of the checks with HIS bank statement, my time cards and a statement on company letterhead for him to say finally " we need to open an account with the people that cash my checks : XXXXXXXX XXXX ). make appt the next day and go open the account. send over the information for the bank account. end of the day we get a text that NOW we need the boss to make up some actual paystubs ( which he does ) even though that information was already provided with a breakdown on the time cards ) how he does paychecks every payday! boss is livid that now he has to pay XXXX for a paystub program with XXXX EMPLOYEES! we send over the pay stubs ( which the program does not allow for detailed breakdowns at least if it does boss does not know how to use ) I ask the dealership why they dont just call to verify my employment since that is the issue. I was told no one does that until after contracts are signed ( which is INSANE : seems counter productive when someone is well qualified and only one road block is in the way from securing the deal ) fast forward the following day ( end of day on friday which is well after 5 ) dealership calls and says the bank says they need to verify income and no one is answering. I give them my bosses cell phone number ( which is a business phone ). dealership calls me back that night that we need XXXX extra down that the 2000 down would not be enough. I agree to it. soon after we get a text that he wont do it until he calls the business but wont call the cell phone cause he suspects fraud. so i inform my boss who drives the XXXX miles to go to the office so he can talk to this clown i can finally get my car ( after selling mine that morning because i was under the impression if we did the extra XXXX down we were good ). He gets to the office and tells me no one has tried calling the previous day as claimed ( checked called id ) and he waited for XXXX hours for them to call and never did I end up checking my credit that morning to see who the dealership was trying to get the loan through ( credit acceptance corp : who ran my credit TWICE BY THE WAY ... XXXX HARD HITS ) so I call trying to get someone else assigned to my application because of how I was being treated by this person. and they told me they dont talk to customers. I told her i just wanted to be pointed in the direction of who i can talk to about getting my app reassigned elsewhere and I got hung up on.. FINALLY after not answering and leaving the dealership with no answers ( i was told ) somehow they managed to call the dealers and tell them they cant finance to me. i asked for a denial letter and have not gotten one nor an answer as to why all of a sudden they had issues. everything was good in the beginning! these SEVERAL other runarounds i got on stuff that was already verified in several diff ways. this is just the summary

Consumer Complaint: Hello my name XXXX XXXX Im a victim of credit acceptance I have purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXX from a dealership in XXXX called XXXX XXXX their lender banking was with credit acceptance I had my car for three years I was doing my best to make the car payment my car I got repossessed in XX/XX/XXXX they took my car for a month I had to pay {$1500.00} to get it back out I called the company and explain to them that I just had a baby and I asked them why did they take my car in they were supposed to repossess any car between 3 to 5 months day did not follow the law of New Jersey this year of XXXX I found out that Credit Acceptable had got sued by Massachusetts for fraud misleading information they also were getting consumers into contract they had high interest in ratings they had hidden fees and it was repossessed in people car less than three months. I did my research about Credit Acceptable there was so many bad views about this car later Massachusetts New York Delaware and New Jersey have all took them to court because a lot of consumers was complaining about their contract some of the people that was trying to get in contact with them either the customer service will give them the runaround Not give them full information and also repossessed in people car without their knowledge California has sued them for the same thing New Jersey still have a pending on the case with a lawsuit and a settlement and I am file this claim to see if I am eligible for a settlement. I also need someone to contact me at my cell phone number XXXX the only thing I would like for this to resolve itself that I would like to get my money back from this car and go about my life Ill pay {$470.00} every two weeks which is supposed to be per month Any time that I try to dispute any negativity that they put on my credit report they will put 30 days late 60 days late 90 days late all I ask is please investigate this company and look at the reviews of this company they are scamming people out of their money repossessed and people car not being truthful about what they are doing because a lot of people are hurt behind this the docket number case is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the court house in New Jersey the case is pending with XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX this a class action against the car lender. Please dont let theses people get away I owe XXXX on my car. Im doing my best to make my payment. They are reporting to 3 credit buena every month that Im late. I have called several times, they have called me several times. Because they have held up funding the XXXX, the dealership has not paid off the XXXX. Which is not my issue! My first payment on the XXXX is due XX/XX/XXXX, & they are STILL reporting the XXXX as an open and XXXX day delinquent account. When I called, they said they would mail me information on how to dispute. Refusing to fix the reporting. They are the ones causing the issue, which is between them & dealership. But destroying my credit intentionally telling me it's between me & dealership & I have to pay on both cars to them

Consumer Complaint: Ive tried to pay off a loan with Credit Acceptance Corporation and these people at their company keep giving me different amounts needed to pay off my loan. I spoke to XXXX at Credit Acceptance today and asked him why their company told me I owed XXXX which I paid yesterday online and now I go to their website and not only are they stating I owe XXXX but its also showing a balance of XXXX. So XXXX is stating that I only owe XXXX to pay the entire balance in the loan but thats not what the system stated yesterday. So not only are they giving me different amount every day that Im paying them Im getting charged transaction fees because they are not giving me correct amounts to pay off this loan. This company needs serious auditing because what they are doing is scamming consumer!!!

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance has violated my federally protected rights under the FDCPA. They sent another 3rd party debt collector to repossess my car even though the application at the dealership was a completely binding contract that Credit Acceptance wasnt included in. Credit Acceptance agents/employees used deceptive means to say I owed an alleged debt violating 15 U.S.C 1692e specifically. They are also using my consumer report with Extortionate means violating 18 U.S.C. 894 to coerce and swindle me into paying an alleged debt on an extension of credit and assume criminally liable and be fined up to 20 years in jail. Credit Acceptance violated the false claims Act by stating I owe them when my SSN belongs to the SSA ( Social Security Administration ) which is a Obligation of the United States. You are now on Notice to Cease and desist Communications from me from all mediums INCLUDING my consumer report. Failure to Comply will result in Legal Matters For Damages.
