Consumer Complaint: As of XX/XX/2021 Credit Acceptance was named an entity in my finalized divorce decree as solely the responsibility of my ex husband. After the divorce decree was provided to both him and I we both informed the company of this. After 12 months the company has updated the account on my credit report as active, open and 120 days past due. This should not be on MY REPORT! This became solely his debt. I even provided the company and all 3 credit bureaus with the decree supporting this statement and nothing has been done. The bureaus just report back as verified with no explanation. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act XXXX Credit Acceptance Corporation, has violated my rights.. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A states I have the right to privacy and any consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written instructions.

Consumer Complaint: In regards to the creditor Credit Acceptance account # XXXX This item has been disputed numerous times it was removed from my credit report back in XXXX of XXXX from a dispute that went into collections. Then was re-inserted to my credit report as an active open account as of XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted the creditor XX/XX/XXXX to validate the debt and was informed that the account has been in there internal collections department since XXXX of XXXX. I mentioned to the claims dept specialist that they removed the account from my report for 2 years being in collections and that they were reporting false information to the bureaus. They have been reporting late payments since XX/XX/XXXX knowing that the account was in collections. I mentioned how an account can not be in collections and treated as an active account, and his reply was it is an active account in our internal collections department. Reporting false information is a violation according to the fair credit reporting act. I also contacted the three bureaus in regards to this matter XX/XX/XXXX which led to another dispute with each bureau. Also on my report there is no history of previous dispute investigations. Which is another violation, I would dearly appreciate your assistance in this matter. I'll also be attaching the supporting documents from my credit report from XXXX Thank you so much
