Consumer Complaint: I was able to take a look at my consumer report. I have found that Credit Acceptance Corporations are using abusive, deceptive and unfair debt collection practices to collect on the alleged debt in reference. I am a natural person, a federally protected consumer, and the original creditor defined under 15 USC 1602 ( g ). I extended credit to Credit Acceptance to obtain a vehicle. The vehicle which is subject to the transaction was used primarily for personal, family and household purposes. All extensions of credit are deferred under code 18 USC 891 ( 1 ). Credit Acceptance Corporation is engaged in extortion and racketeering activity by attempting to collect this debt under Title 18 Chapter 42. Failure to make the repayment of this alleged debt has resulted in the use of criminal means by causing harm to my reputation. My consumer report does not include a report containing information solely as to transactions or experiences, furnishing late payments are a violation of 15 USC 1681a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( i ). I never received adequate notice that sets for the pertinent facts for this consumer credit transaction which violates 15 USC 1602 ( k ). Credit Acceptance Corporation has benefited from my uninformed use of credit. The only decision I was given after the consummation of the transaction was to make payments without penalty which is a violation of 18 USC 880. I, the consumer, have never been given the opportunity to direct that my nonpublic personal information should not be disclosed to nonaffiliated third parties such as XXXX, XXXX and XXXX pursuant to 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( 1 ) ( B ). Nor was I given an explanation on how to exercise the nondisclosure option which is a violation of 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( 1 ) ( C ). Their conspiracy against my rights is affecting my ability to operate in commerce. This is a violation of 15 U.S. Code 1. I am requesting documentary evidence specifically the book of account under 15 USC 44 to validate this alleged debt.

Consumer Complaint: Credit Acceptance threatened with repossession of vehicle after not properly documented payment payment arrangement. Customer Service representatives use tactics to mislead and violate consumer rights under the debt collection act. I made a payment arrangement that was inputted by the customer service representative when I checked account on line I discovered incorrect information, action was taken by calling Credit Acceptance Corp and the representative lied mislead and threatened with repossession. This predatory lender also did a bait and switch when the car was purchased and did not disclose the vehicle had after market parts. Overall I have spent a large amount of money to maintain the vehicle which I was forced to purchase because of the approval process with the loan company and car dealership. At this point the vehicle has cost double what I intended to spend in the long term and now I am in fear of loosing my vehicle and damage to my credit profile.

Consumer Complaint: CPFB complaint # XXXX was filed on XX/XX/XXXX regarding this matter. I purchased a car at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with a loan from Credit Acceptance Corporation. The car was a lemon and had numerous problems, which caused me to be upside down. I made a decision to have the car repossessed with Credit Acceptance 's agreement. Credit Acceptance never honored the agreement so as of XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke to XXXX in the XXXX XXXX and XXXX at XXXX, extension XXXX, who advised me that the car is noted to have been at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX location at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NY. Credit Acceptance said that they decided to not repossess the vehicle and that they could not provide anything in writing regarding the account status, the vehicle whereabouts and their decision to not repossess the car. However, they did say the ownership of the vehicle was still mine and that they could offer a settlement of {$2100.00} to close the account. For XXXX years, I have contacted both companies, Credit Acceptance Corporation and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they failed to cooperate with me. I have contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX multiple times and have been given the runaround. I spoke to both administrative staff and sales managers, all promising that someone would get back to me. On XX/XX/XXXX, a person by the name of XXXX called me and left a message. When I returned his call, I was told by a receptionist that he no longer works there. At this time, I do not know where the vehicle is located, and I am afraid the vehicle could be used for illegal or unauthorized purposes. I was advised by my legal attorney to pursue legal action against them, since I still hold title to the vehicle.
