Consumer Complaint: I settled a private student loan debt with Convergent Outsourcing, and I set up a plan with an agent to have money auto drafted from my bank account monthly until the debt is paid. I have them the initial ( approximately ) {$5000.00}, and around {$420.00} is supposed to come out on the XXXX of each month. The XXXX came and went in XXXX, and nothing was taken out. I tried calling multiple numbers associated with that company, and I keep getting the same automated message every time I call. It says to call back later. I just got out of XXXX XXXXXXXX, and Im trying to build my credit back up. Im afraid they are going to claim that I didnt pay and take me off the settlement. Ive called multiple times since Thursday the XXXX. I dont know what to do.

Consumer Complaint: Since the inception of XXXX, I have held the same phone number, ( XXXX ) XXXX. However, with the advent of the acquisition of XXXX by XXXX the demands on me, by XXXX have been based on lies, threats, and fraud. Starting with the demand to purchase new XXXX phones to comply with their switch to XXXX, it was found that these would not work and were useless, by XXXX 's admission, after sending me multiple sets of phones. Then they demanded I purchase different phones that also failed to work on their networks. Their third demand was exceeding hundreds of dollars more. As the conversion deadline approached, they upped the threats of excessive costs and service interruption although I gave them full authority to proceed based on best practices to solve the problem to their satisfaction and mine. I simply requested that my number stay active, without interruption, out of medical necessity. However, with service failing and the threat of the loss of my number and the abandonment of any effort to perform further by XXXX, I had to scramble for a solution before I had a medical emergency to deal with, since I provide urgent medical care and remedial therapy, in the home. Patient safety and comfort with the ability to communicate is a first need priority, which they were informed of in each conversation of which there was a disturbingly high amount. Acknowledgement of these issues and obligations were concerningly absent in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, ostensibly, at the XXXX level. With the complete inability of XXXX to provide the service I have had since XXXX with their own selected and supplied equipment with my stated permission to proceed as necessary to complete and maintain my service, they devolved into blaming every possible inconceivable and unreasonable reason including customer fault. From XXXX to XXXX and current cases awaiting resolution XXXX has continued to demonstrate disregard for consumer law and the willingness to commit fraud and conspire to illegally bill and collect under false pretenses. This I have found readily available in the court record. Having been prosecuted from XXXX XXXX to XXXX by consumer protection agencies and Attorneys General and XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX continues to demonstrate their contempt for authority and the law, as well as their customer responsibility. In shear panic and frustration, I contacted XXXX for advice. They put me in touch with XXXX XXXX. They handled months of problems in XXXX minutes. They over-nighted XXXX phones to me. I can contact them XXXX and speak to a XXXX rep within the continental United States, who communicate clearly and patiently with limitless expertise. XXXX wants to close out my account for over {$400.00} based on fabrication and untruths. I have attempted to call them and have them explain to me why they are defrauding me, but communication with them is all but impossible due to wait times and language differences including being bounced around the world with no continuity of file record, although they make it quite clear that all conversations are recorded, but no one, even XXXX XXXX supervision can reference any prior conversations, solutions, or any progress of clarification.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: Received a call from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 about a XXXX telephone bill previously serviced by convergent. Prior to this contact I have not received any written notice nor a right to dispute. I explained that I would like to settle the debt as we had been with convergent contingent to them providing us with a pay for delete letter once the amount has been paid in full. XXXX XXXX XXXX explained that this was not possible for since they did not report the account on my credit report, they can not remove it. The situation this poses is that how can a company, convergent, still report my account as delinquent if they no longer own the debt? If such is the case this now erroneous reporting should be removed to allow me to settle the debt with the existing servicer. I need the bad debt from convergent removed from my credit report as we also did not give them written notice to furnish any data on my report, we also want to settle the debt amicably with the new servicer to prevent any negative data being shown on my credit report.
