Consumer Complaint: I received a alert through my credit monitoring of a new derogatory account. The account is with Convergent outsourcing for XXXX. I have never in my life had service with XXXX. I filed a Identity theft report with the FTC and on XX/XX/2022 I sent documentation to Convergent Outsourcing as well as XXXX and XXXX with certified mail. I have yet to receive any response from the collection company as well as from XXXX. XXXX has removed the fraudulent account, XXXX has not. This account is not mine.

Consumer Complaint: My social security number was used to open up XXXX accounts. XXXX was for XXXX XXXX and XXXX was for XXXX in Michigan. I have lived in XXXX my whole life and so the address that is on my credit file for XXXX is not accurate. I believe both debts are being handled by Convergent but I am not 100 % sure as it is all confusing to me. I had contacted them and they told me to email them the proof that I have never lived there and that the debt is not mine and so I emailed them bills and check stubs that show I never lived at that address and they confirmed that my identity had been stolen. I contacted XXXX who disputed it with them however they are saying the debt is accurate when it is not. Not sure how where to go from here as I am only XXXX and am unfamiliar with how this process is supposed to work

I call this collection company and offered a settlement payment if they would not report to credit bureaus or if they had to remove the account completely. They agreed. We made the settlement payment but they did not do what they promised and it is showing on our credit bureaus and we want it removed as it is destorying my credit

Consumer Complaint: XXXX billed me for a unknown item and auto charged it to my XXXX XXXX, I reversed the charge. They then sent my file over to Convergent to collect the fee. Convergent has made a negative mark on my credit dropping my score nearly XXXX points. I can not contact Convergent. They do not man their phones and they do not respond to contact requests. I have called over a dozen times and theres no way to leave a message. I do not have my account number and can not pay online. Im attempting to buy a home and this has affected my credit score severely and has lowered my ability to borrow money. I would like this debt removed.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is regarding account information below that has not been investigated and no information given. Its been over 2 months with no information given to me regarding these accounts. I have no knowledge of these companies and they shouldnt be reporting as I never gave permission for the reporting per Section 1681a -I sent correspondence to the Credit Bureaus regarding this. I was never notified in writing per 15 U.S.C 1692ag prior to accounts being on my credit report, within 5 days. Moreover, these accounts violate debt collections, abusive and unfair practices per section 1692f ( 1 ) adding additional amounts.
