Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX, I was a victim of an error with a XXXX bill that was duplicated on my credit report, the single bill collection was bought by 2 separate companies, XXXX and Convergant the second without my knowledge. After consulting with a bank and understanding I had a phone bill in collections to pay off. I began to do so reaching a settlement and paying it in full. My credit was clean and so I thought. I saw nothing on XXXX and my other scores went up aswell. After being denied though for a card at my bank I thought well why. I did more digging to find that XXXX bill on my XXXX by another company. My bank told me to dispute it immediately which I did and my dispute came back stating accurate information and was taken off my report on XXXX and is still in process of being taken off of my XXXX. I am demanding XXXX XXXX dollars per error to compensate for the challenges this mistake has brought to my financial life and the fees Ive wrongly paid in high rates due to this error while funding my business.
