Consumer Complaint: I discovered the alleged debt while reviewing my credit report. I have received no contact by phone or mail from the identified debtor regarding the alleged debt and believe this was negatively reported in violation of the FDCPA. Convergent XXXX began reporting XX/XX/XXXX that an alleged debt of {$110.00} was owed to original creditor XXXX XXXX and has continued to negatively report said alleged debt each month to present. I have not had an account with XXXX XXXX since XXXX when my XXXX XXXX XXXX was discharged in XXXX. I have no knowledge of this alleged debt or when Convergent XXXX acquired alleged debt as no communication was attempted with me at any time by phone or mail and the alleged debt reported may be an attempt to re-age and collect a debt that was discharged in bankruptcy.

Consumer Complaint: It all started back in XXXX of XXXX, I had to relocate to another location for business. I used XXXX XXXX however I think they registered it as a different name, XXXX XXXX. My name is XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX ( Arizona Time ) I received a call from XXXX, which rang once than hung up. I called back the number which the lady that answered represented herself as Convergent Collections asking for XXXX XXXX and that she couldn't explain herself until I advised that I was XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX is the alternative name I use for my wife 's account with XXXX since I prefer that name, not my legal name. She wanted me to verify the address which I provided my current address but she said it was wrong. Then proceeded to give me hints as far as the name and spelling of the address. After that was confirmed she mentioned that the bill was from XXXX XXXX and was for a total of {$21.00}??. (? is in place because I do not remember the change amount. ) I advised that XXXX XXXX does not exist and is not a valid person and asked for more information on the debt, as far as date of birth or social used. While looking for this information, she specifically stated the following : " It is only {$21.00}, I would hate for this to be used against you. '' At this time I again stated that I dispute the vidaility of the debt and told her that the company has a time limit on when they need to respond. She advised that the company is quick and I will have an answer in the mail. The fact that she did not verify date of birth to confirm who she was speaking to is in fact the debtor and threating that this will be used against me if I do not pay is outrageous. I can only imagine how many times people give in and play along because they do not understand that debt collectors are limited on what they can do and say. I bet there are hundreds if not thousands of people being treated the same way.

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to contact and dispute this account for over 2 years now with no proper verification of this debt. I have sent letters and all valid documents starting in XXXX of XXXX. I finally received a response my second time asking for validation in XXXX of XXXX and was told the Convergent sent all information to sprint XXXX XXXX and is still awaiting a response. Sprint is not responding to the company and the company is not able to send me anything that proves i am responsible for the alleged debt after 2 years of negatively reporting to the credit bureau horribly affecting my credit report. I want to be explicitly clear with my request. I have not requested validation of debt ; but instead, I am requesting verification of the debt. It has become increasingly clear that they are being willfully negligent in rectifying my affairs. Over the past almost 3 years that I have made subsequent attempts to have these accounts reasonably investigated in accordance with both the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practice Act.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX Account XXXX. XXXX My bill cycle ran from the XXXX to the XXXX each month, with payments due on the XXXX of the following month. On XX/XX/2022, I canceled service for line ending in XXXX by completing a port-out of the telephone number to another wireless carrier. The voice lines ending in XXXX and XXXX were then canceled on XX/XX/2022, when I completed a port-out of these lines to another wireless carrier. The account was canceled, and I was clearly instructed to cancel my remaining non-using line ending in XXXX to cancel on XX/XX/XXXX, unfortunately, XXXX tricked me and did not cancel, and I called them again and asked to cancel that number. please ask them to check the call logs. and they sent me the final bill of {$370.00} which I am ready to pay. since my account is canceled on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX does not have permission to take money out of my back without giving me a proper explanation or a paper bill. So I stopped the payment of {$160.00} which is the wrong amount anyway. since my bill period is XXXX to the XXXX of every month, I only owe prorated charge of XXXX days that is {$79.00} ( $ XXXX {$4.00} - XXXX ) + {$34.00} + {$5.00} = XXXX +/- {$5.00} ( Note - this from their letter of explanation - The billing statement dated XX/XX/2022, reflected a balance owed in the amount of {$180.00} of which {$140.00} was for rate plan charges, {$34.00} for equipment charges, {$23.00} for service charges, and a credit of {$16.00} for one-time charges. A payment of {$180.00} was remitted via AutoPay on XX/XX/2022, reducing the balance to XXXX ) there are XXXX complaints - XXXX their customer support gave me the wrong information and made all this mess. they didn't cancel my non-using XXXX number since I asked them to cancel on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, second, they withdraw money from my back without my authorization or without a proper paper bill, and now charging me {$30.00} for {$30.00} payment return fee.
