Consumer Complaint: Coinbase and XXXX I have reached out to coinable because they locked my account with {$5000.00} in there. I also have deposited over {$200000.00} into the account and transferred the funds from Coinbase to a FRAUDULENT XXXX XXXX. The {$200000.00} was transferred over time and Coinbase will not assist in tracking these assets. I have also used XXXX to Deposit over {$200000.00} and transfer to a FRAUDULENT XXXX XXXX. XXXX has not contacted me from the email I sent them in regards to this ... CoinBase told me to verify my ID again, remove my {$5000.00} and never use CoinBase again, this was sent to me by email from their customer service. I still have not found someone to track the funds. CoinBase and XXXX are experts in this field and have the ability to assist in tracking these funds but refuse to help after several emails and complaints.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX my phone service stopped working right after I received an odd text that my Coinbase Crypto Currency account password was changed ( which I did not do ). Quickly switching to Wifi on my phone I could not get into my account with Coinbase plus I then received an email that someone authorized a XXXX XXXX transfer into my account. I emailed Coinbase ( which is the ONLY form of communication for their customer service, they have no live agents which makes the process incredibly frustrating ) and they locked my account. However, with my account now locked I could not get back into it. Over 20 emails of trying to get a password reset link to my email failed. Coinbase has also confirmed that my account was hacked and provided the IP address that did this ( I will provide that attachment ). I was asked to create a new account where they would transfer funds that are remaining, but I have heard nothing since XX/XX/XXXX. So as of this note : ( 1 ) I have no idea what the fate of my {$4600.00} + {$1000.00} on additional XXXX funds that were moved over. Coinbase will not confirm this as of this note 1-10 ( 2 ) I can not access my old account that I have been locked out of ( 3 ) I am not clear what insurance Coinbase has for their customers to reimburse stolen funds

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I attempted to log into my Coinbase account and I was unable to log into it. I got a new phone so I was requested to verify my identity by providing my driver 's license. I provided the front and back copies of my driver 's license and then I was asked to appear on webcam, which I did. The verification was denied. I tried several times and it was denied. I do not know why it was denied but I feel that my account has been hacked or there is some unauthorized activity going on. I was asked to provide a legal document with my name but I am feeling uncomfortable doing that because I have been a victim of identity theft before and I feel that the verification was denied on no valid basis. I am the same person that created the account and I could prove this to the necessary authorities. However, the problem is I am being blocked from my own funds because Coinbase has possibly been hacked or denying verification due to no valid basis. I want to withdraw my funds and close the Coinbase account. I am very unsatisfied with this platform.

Consumer Complaint: I have a crypto currency account with Coinbase. On XX/XX/2021 I was on my account. I check my account monthly. The following day XX/XX/2021, my son informed me that the currency I owned, XXXX was up 20 %. I went into my account and all the funds ( {$1200.00}. ) were transfered out to an account that wasn't even listed on my transferable account list. The only account listed to send withdrawls to was my XXXX XXXX checking account. This may not seem like a lot of money but my wife and I are eldery and exist on Social Security and a very small pension. We would take money out of the account to aid with medical, food and mortgage payments. It's a big deal. I called Coinbase. It took over an hour to get someone on the phone and another thirty minutes for them to secure my account. They asked ME a myriad of questions before they would even discuss the problem. The representative stated the complaint would be forwarded to security. Long story short. I went back and forth with them for two weeks before I was even allowed back on my site. They stated they were not responsible for transactions. What happened was a suspicous transaction and they did nothing. I think they have no or very little security protocols in place. A class action suit should be filed against them, as there are numerous others.

Consumer Complaint: Utilizing Coinbase as an exchange for cryptocurrency, I was hacked out of more than {$40000.00} USD on two separate occasions and was hacked without losing any cryptocurrencies once prior. In all three incidents, there was an automatic/unauthorized sending of all crypto currencies in my account immediately upon logging in. During the first hacking incident there were crypto conversions that were made without me making them. Further details and timelines are as follows : The following transactions occurred on XX/XX/XXXX without my consent : [ e-mail at XXXX ] You have successfully sent XXXX XXXX to XXXX. You can view transaction details in your Coinbase account. To facilitate this transaction, you paid XXXX XXXX ( {$0.00} USD ) in network fees. [ e-mail at XXXX ] You have successfully sent XXXX ETH to XXXX. You can view transaction details in your Coinbase account. To facilitate this transaction, you paid XXXX XXXX ( {$14.00} USD ) in network fees. Unauthorized Bitcoin address on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX XXXX : XXXX The only way to receive any kind of help is through Coinbase E-mail system. There were many times that I replied to their e-mail only to get a " Non-Deliverable '' notification back. It took several other tickets for them to combine ticket numbers before I was successful in replying to their e-mail support. Needless to say, their support is almost non-existent. Their response to these malicious hacking attacks are that I'm responsible for my own security of my account, and that there is no breach, fault, or obligation on their part to safeguard customers '' accounts. I have done everything they suggested, including reaching out to my phone carrier for any security breaches to my phone ( no breaches have been made in that area ). I have not been the only that has experienced the litany of frustration dealing with Coinbase, yet they continue to operate as a business rendering no restitution to many of their customers. The last bit of salt in the wound is that there is approximately {$130.00} left in my account in a cryptocurrency that I can't recover because the amount is too small to transfer. I would have to add more money to my account, and then transfer all of it out at the larger acceptable amount. There is an obvious problem with this because the funds would most certainly be hacked and stolen.
