Consumer Complaint: Dear sir/lady : I invested some money in Coinbase.com to operate with cryptocoins. Coinbase did lock my account during about 5 months ( from XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX ). That is, they DID not let me recover my money during 5 months. My account was locked for no reason whatsoever. The did not send me any explanation nor attended my complains ( I opened 5 tickets ). The time when my account was locked was a period of high increase in cryptocoin value. Many other clients were blocked at the same time. I have a strong suspicion Coinbase simply operate clients money as they like, blocking your account when it holds a high value and releasing your account when market is down. There are many cases reported in forums : https : XXXX https : XXXX My account was released in XXXX. I got my money ( what was left ) out right away. Please take a look, I think this is just a fraud. Best regards and thanks

Consumer Complaint: On or around the XXXX of XXXX of last year, the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase ( coinbase.com ) had what they call a " technical glitch '' with a token they had available for purchase. This GYEN token was at a particular price at which I bought {$1000.00} worth. Due to this " glitch '', Coinbase made the decision to de-list ( not available to buy or sell ) the token preventing me from being able to sell it. While it was de-listed, the price of it dropped. They have since relisted the token at the lower locked-in price. I am now at a loss because I was unable to sell as the price of it dropped. I have tried to rectify this matter with the company through their support ticket system. Without any compensation, they closed the case with no explanation. This exact same scenario, and some varying aspects of it, has happened to thousands of other customers with little to no remediation.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I checked XXXX price on XXXX then decided to check my coinbase account since I had not looked at it ( or maybe did a few times early on ) since I opened it 8 months previously It was locked - I could not figure out on the page how to get help to unlock it I XXXX Coinbase login - opened a link. A Coinbase screen came up and asked me to type in the phone number connected to the account. I soon got a call from XXXX XXXX XXXX A woman with an XXXX accent led me through a series of steps to do 2 step verification of my account. Ultimately I activated the video camera to two windows on the bottom of the Coinbase screen and took a picture of my drivers license - front and back and then my own picture in another box. I could not access my account- it was still blocked. I spoke with her a few more times over the next few days. On XX/XX/XXXX I noticed my business bank account was low- when I checked there had been {$35000.00} deposited to Coinbase. I reported it to Coinbase and they started a fraud " investigation '' I finally accessed my Coinbase account XX/XX/XXXX and found It was emptied of {$60000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX Coinbase has been less than helpful in investigating or rectifying.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I sent from my digital wallet a cryptocurrency named compound ether to my coinbase exchange wallet in the amount of XXXX XXXX ( valued over XXXX usd at the time ) so I could withdrawl. I waited over an hour and it never showed up in my coinbase exchange wallet. That same day I emailed coinbase and explained my problem and email after email all the responses were That cryptocurrency is not supported on coinbase and that my tokens are lost and they kept referring me to the user agreement with language basically saying its my fault. But the transaction went through and it is on the digital ledger and they wont help me and they will not return the currency from its origin. Its not right that a transaction can go through without warnings saying your tokens maybe lost and coinbase refuses to help or send back the coin that is basically stuck in limbo on thier servers. Please help, Ive been on many XXXX pages with numerous customers that endured the same hardship that I am currently going through.

Consumer Complaint: I had purchased crypto coins from coinbase. as days went, the amount of crypto coins were in my wallet started to disappear. I called coinbase, there was no response for a few days. I was finally able to get a hold of them eventually, when they picked up the phone, they said that there was a glitch in the system that lowered the coins in the wallet. They took the blame for it and but they never returned the coins.
