Consumer Complaint: Hi. Thanks for creating this platform, I have been using Coinbase For close to a year now and recently ( few days ) ago. XX/XX/XXXX, I had a friend of mine from XXXX send my BTC worth {$200.00}. They allowed the funds get into my account and then coinbase restricted my account. I tried to send out the BTC and they wont allow me. For no reason. I contacted Coinbase support several times and they replied saying case closed, can not be reopened They gave no reason why my account was restricted, i am a verified user and I didnt violate any of them rules and regulations so I dont know why they could do this to a poor boy like me. I need that funds badly and they should fix this issue so I can get my funds out. I urge you CFPB to help me out in any way possible. Thanks

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 ( US- Eastern Standard time ), I tried to withdraw 0.4 BTC ( Bitcoin worth ~ {$4000.00} at the time ) from my account on CoinbasePro to a white-listed address ( digital wallet ) I've withdrawn to for at least 30 times without a problem. CoinbasePro showed a message stating withdrawal not allowed because it was under maintenance. Instead of crediting the 0.4 BTC back to my account, CoinbasePro kept the 0.4 BTC. CoinbasePro showed the transaction in pending status without a destination address or transaction hash ( where destination and transaction hash are proof a withdrawal is successful and traceable on the blockchain ). I filed a total of 5 tickets over the course of 11 days, providing all the information requested to their Support team. They failed to help and kept closing my tickets, claiming they were resolved. But my issue was never resolved! I am still missing 0.4 BTC ( Bitcoin ). I called but they do not have phone support for this and directed me to their website. I emailed the CEO, XXXX XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX detailing my issue and frustration with the support team referencing Case # XXXX. The next day, that ticket was closed and my 0.4 BTC was still missing. As of today, Coinbase still owes me 0.4 BTC! Case # s : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX

So now the money is not in my bank account and They have absorbed it on their website. All my money is gone my account is still frozen and they wont do anything about it. Consumer Complaint: I'm a fully verified user of www.coinbase.com since 2017. On the last XX/XX/XXXX, my account was restricted. I cant use my funds ( buy/sell/deposits/withdrawals ). There wasn't any reason to do it. The only response I got was the same day, coinbase told me that it would be fixed on 2 days. Now, more than 3 weeks later, my account is still restricted and I've not got any new answer to my case. It's really frustrating when a company block your funds, without explanation, without a solution, without any reason, for more than 3 weeks and the support saying nothing. User : XXXX Case # XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I signed up with Coinbase with a debit card. They verified my account instantly and pitched the Bitcoin I requested. 12 hours later my account was compromised. The warning sent by email that my password had been changed suggested that I lock my account and reset after validating my identity. However they will not verify my identity and have permanently locked me out of my account. The customer service is non existent and automated with a computerized faq but no actual help. They have basically stollen my money and refused to address the issue. I guess its legal to steal so long as you can avoid the person you have stollen from long enough

Consumer Complaint: During XXXX I used coinbase.com as a wallet for Bitcoin. I go through a ton of runaround and verification to access my account for the first time in years : my transaction history is completely blank and my wallet balance reads empty. To be fair I did have a bad habit of tipping people with BTC, so it's possible that I really did cash it out completely HOWEVER I absolutely did for fact make transactions with BTC via Coinbase and now they have hidden those transactions.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to bring your attention to a serious issue I have with Coinbase wires that first took place on the XX/XX/2019. I have been victimized by a multilayered scam operation orchestrated by XXXX - The funds were transferred utilizing Coinbase 's services in the total amount of XXXX EUR! I would also like to point out that on XX/XX/2019 - I filed a dispute with Coinbase. The SCAM Broker Story : I was scammed through the company XXXX through a person who calls herself XXXX XXXX. I was promised that they were very credible and professional trading company that would turn my investment into high returns. In a few days time, I started investing with them as per their directions. My Account Manager from XXXX suggested me to open an account in Coinbase, as money transfer was easier through it and will also cost less. I started transferring my funds from my bank account to Coinbase. My Account manager very politely convinced me to share my screen with her to transfer money from Coinbase to their XXXX. As I did not understand all these sophisticated technologies, I did as she said. In a few months time, I started demanding profits and was shocked to see their attitude. she completely vanished from all modes of contact. At the same time, I learned this Company is FRAUDULENT from reviews of the same victims like me and I immediately contacted Coinbase and explained my situation. Despite all my requests since a month there has been no genuine responsibility shown on their part ( see attached as well ).
