Consumer Complaint: Coinbase ( www.coinbase.com ) is an online platform through which cryptocurrencies can be purchased / sold. When I try to do this I get to a page where nothing happens and I am unable to get the finish line. As such, I am not able to sell and transfer the USD of my account. I tried to call their XXXX but with no sucess for a long period of time ( " all out operators are busy ... '' ). Unacceptable service. Regards XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Someone hacked into my Coinbase account and transferred my cryptocurrency ( XRP, ETH, LTC ) to their " XXXX '' account. It totaled {$6200.00}. I XXXX what XXXX is and its some new crypto site. Coinbase replied that they can not refund or reimburse me and it's my sole responsibility my account was compromised. They also stated there is a " specialist '' still reviewing it in separate emails. This has been ongoing for a couple weeks now and they disabled access to my account. I emailed back with the following : There has to be some kind of security or protection coinbase offers, people cant just have their money taken out and just have to deal with it. You ( coinbase ) should be able to trace back the address and account the crypto was sent to. Like I said, my accounts and logins, my 2FA authenticator app were always in my possession - I did not lose my phone or any other device. None of my other accounts were compromised. I always used the coinbase app on my phone and checked it daily. On XX/XX/19, I opened the app and it said my login was expired. I tried to log back in and couldn't. I used the " forgot password '' link and was not getting the emails from coinbase because the hacker apparently added the email to my block list. They were able to disable all coinbase emails to my XXXX account. I called support a couple times and they couldn't help. They asked me to wait to have it reviewed by a specialist and they'd get back to me via email. A couple days later, after re-verifying myself, I logged in and my crypto was gone. I shouldn't have to keep explaining this over and over again with emails back and forth. My cases were closed unresolved many times so far and I have to resubmit the same complaint to open the case again. Your ( coinbase ) site and company is not secure and easily compromised. There are numerous complaints online and reviews from people that have experienced the same thing. You ( coinbase ) should have the capability to trace it back to the address or account it was transferred into and have some type of protection or security for consumers. Coinbase should also be able to verify which device was used from what location and IP address and resolve this. I would like my money back. I will never use coinbase again after this.

Consumer Complaint: I started attempting to buy cryptocurrencies on a site called coinbase.com on XX/XX/XXXX. I gave them all my personal information including drivers license and photo. On XX/XX/XXXX they emailed me that I was all ready. But still to this day I am unable to access my account to buy cryptocurrencies. I believe this is due to my age, as I am over 50. I have a young man in his 20 's who sits behind me at work who recommended this site. He has no problems with the site. They keep telling me that they are looking into it, but after 6 weeks they might have found the issue or had me delete everything and reapply? It is very difficult ( almost impossible ) to speak with someone there about my issues. Can you help?

Consumer Complaint: From XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX I bought Bitcoin on Coinbase. Of which, I paid nearly {$470.00} in fees. By now, on the website it states that my balance is available to withdraw. Upon trying to do so, it states my account is restricted. Support initially they told me Id be able to withdrawal my bitcoin after the purchase hold no matter what and now theyre denying me access to it. After contacting support again, theyre saying in order to withdrawal my money - I have to sell my balance on their platform ( costing me another whopping {$450.00} in fees! ) Just to get my balance. Not to mention, I already have lost money due to the initial investment decreasing in value and the previous fees Ive already paid. This itself is fraud because theyre denying me access to what I paid for. On top of that - theyre forcing me to pay more money to get what I was supposed to receive previously. I asked them about waiving the fees and they wouldnt.
